A Site for Hearthstone Sounds - HearthSFX

It's always bothered me that I couldn't find a single source for Hearthstone's card and hero sounds. So, as someone trying to learn how to code, I built one as my first significant project!

HearthSFX

I spent most of the last couple months extracting and mapping the game sounds for each card and hero - Scholomance Academy included.

The site includes every play, attack, death, trigger, and entrance sound for each minion where applicable - including tokens and other non-collectible cards. The heroes and hero cards have all their available gameplay (thinking, out of cards, out of time, etc.), emotes, errors, and holiday voice lines. Any special interactions between cards and heroes are mapped in as well.

It's best viewed on non-mobile devices at the moment, but I plan on improving this for smaller screens in the future.

  • This is really awesome, but I must admit I was slightly disappointed that the legendary cards sounds didn't come with their music, especially for cards like Griftah and Armagedillo. I'm not shunning your work by any means (I could never do something like this), but maybe this could be a feature worth adding.

    EDIT: I just noticed there's a way to play the intro music of the card separately: you have to click on the card name, then scroll down below the flavour text and press "intro". It's kinda hard to listen to the voiceline and the music at the same time, but I appreciate that it was not forgotten.

      I actually prefer it this way. It gives you a way to appreciate each audio component separately, since you can’t do that in-game. Plus sometimes it’s hard to tell what someone is saying, and it helps with that. Love the site! 

    • I'm glad you found the extra sounds for the legendaries! Apparently I need to make it more obvious that you can open each one to see the card art, details, and additional sounds. 

      I have an experimental version of the site that combines the intro music and play sounds for each legendary into a single button. It works great, but currently relies on having a good enough internet connection for the sounds to start and play at the same time.

  • Very good job. I think maybe hearthpwn had this feature back in the day, but I'm not sure..

    Anyway, one improvement idea pops up: you could make a button for legendaries which plays the Intro AND the Play sound simultaneously, as it is a little bit difficult to press both quickly in succession for the full intro experience.

    • If you're on a PC, you should be able to right click any sound button and 'Save link as...' to download the sounds.

  • Wow this is awesome! Thanks for your work. It's going to be really useful for videos.
    About that, are you planning on adding hero powers' sounds? This could be really useful for me and other I think.

    One thing that could be cool as well is to add the general sound. By that I mean when I concede, My hero say his line and there is a "sound" playing because I lost. Same for when I win etc...

    • I'd love to add the hero power and general sounds, spell sounds too. They are just a good deal harder to associate through the game's audio files compared to the actual card sounds. Maybe after the release of the next expansion I'll take a stab at some of that.

  • Is there any chance that in the future special voice lines like Battlegrounds/Duel heroes emotes etc. will be up on the site just like the "normal" heroes?
    I really appreciate the work! Kudos for making it possible I was waiting for a site like this for a really long time! ♥

  • Forged in the Barrens sounds are now up on the site along with most of the new hero sounds! Core and Classic sets are still a work-in-progress.

    • They really went all in on Chef Scabbs, and I'm so glad they did. If they're going to give us 4 versions of the same character, they might as well make at least one of them a silly gimmick.

      • I like him. He's goofy and very-much all in with the puns and cooking-references. Fitting for the first gnome hero in a while!

  • I've started some work on making the voicelines available for all languages. I'll be sure to let you know if and when that eventually goes live!

  • I must thank you once again, this time particularly for letting me hear Valeera the Nice's "Greetings (Mirror)" emote, which I'd probably not encounter otherwise. The "ugh, you're too much" shows she's just as sickened by her own saccharine act as we are, and is a beautiful complement to her attack voiceline ("No more Mrs Nice Elf") showing she's had enough of this job :P

  • Is the Battlegrounds section going to be updated? It seems quite outdated at the moment. Appreciate all the work you're putting in though, this is quite handy.

    • Most definitely. I owe the Battlegrounds section some love in the New Year, along with a new section for the Duels heroes and unique cards.

  • Is there any chance to get the sounds for spell's with unique sounds? I've been looking for hours for Master's call and I thought this page could have it, amazing work btw!

  • Just made an account to ask this one question, i got myself into the sound files of the game as well and i am looking for a very specific audio, the one in which Lord Jaraxxus, as a Hero, when casting the hero power goes "INFERNO!", i see that you got the audio file up in your awesome repository, but id like to have it in Spanish, there's something about the accent that i like, but i cant find the audio file myself, so id like to ask you whats the audio clip Name please or where is it specifically located. thanks in advance !
