I'll be honest here, the fact that Flag Runner never saw any play makes me very doubtful this can. Cards that only get better when you lose board is technically never a good thing, as we have found out later in alterac.
But I'll give this one a chance, because even as a 4/4 rush minion that followed up from SECURITY!! on 4, that's still decent enough result. Probably wont see play, but definitely a maybe.
I think this has a potential step above Flag Runner as it is a battlecry vs a static effect. When a minion has a static effect, they tend to be targets right out the gate. Vs a Battlecry is more difficult to be dealt with.
I think the caveat to this is that it will rarely, if ever, be played on the curve. It will take board presence for at least one turn to be useful. That or a number of low cost rush summons, which there are plenty of in the game.
Flag Runner saw play in that hyper-aggro Demon Hunter from Sunken City's early meta.
I'm just going to assume Command the Illidari isn't coming back to Core. Still, there's probably something that could potentially make this good.
This seems quite good thanks to SECURITY!! and Command the Illidari, and if it gets discounted by Rush the Stage it gets even better. I think this will see play.
Since it procs off both sides this could be a pretty big Swing.
Remember, this counts ALL minions that died this turn, including your opponent's, though you're obviously juicing this up with 1/1 rushers anyway.
Unless it is played along with SECURITY!! I doubt it'll see play
