after i logged today i received one demon hunter pack from the prologue, but it isnt on my packs anyone knows if  blizz will really give a pack retroactively or if it is a bug?

Hey guys, couldn´t find the info anywhere at the time of posting this, so I thought I might share, so you won´t miss it. You can now buy Sylvanas Hero along with her cardback with money or GOLD! Yay :D

So I just wanted to see if the Duels cardpool was already updated (it is) and naturally ended up building a Discolock deck now that Lakkari Sacrifice is part of the starting pool (which is a lot of fun so far, Imps go wheeeee).

Now, as you probably know Lakkari Felhound was recently buffed to discard the two loweset-cost cards, which is really helpful if you want to discard [Hearthstone Card (Clutchmother Xavas) Not Found] among other things.

What I did not know was that they apparently buffed the interaction between these two specific cards even further. When I play Felhound with just about 5 different cards in hand (one of them Clutchmother), he proceeded to discard Xavas, who did her discard thing and came back....BEFORE the 2nd card was discarded....after which she was discarded AGAIN for another buff.

I don't know if this would apply to any other cards (since this is the only multi-discard with specific targets), but it's certainly a welcome change.

I'm gonna try and test it with Cataclysm to see what happens there, but I doubt it lets me infinitely discard Xavas.

Now we have 4 formats

• Classic
• Standard
• Wild
• Casual

And casual is wild casual. There is no more standard casual. Is this real??? Is my understanding right?

I just launched the 20.0 patch and got 4! 1000 win portraits!
My best guess is, all the past arena wins have been added to the counter? 
Mage, Paladin and Rogue got the biggest boost and those were the most picked classes back in the day.
I'm not complaining but i gotta say, this was a little to unexpected.
Hopefully this isn't a bug?

So maybe it's because it's 5 AM, but i'm going to go on a rant for a bit.

Four mana. Deal 2 damage. 

With the release of the long awaited forged in the barrens warrior got a new AOE. It is essentially, in a vacuum, the same old same old, been in the game forever, hasn't changed since classic hearthstone with CONSECRATION, 4 mana deal 2 damage AOE. 

And it got my noggin joggin, you could say. It makes you think doesn't it. In the same expansion we see cards like Paralytic Poison, Silverleaf Poison, cards that would NEVER have been made and have completely showed the hypocrisy of the leeching poison nerfs YET AGAIN. Warrior gets 4 mana deal 2 damage AOE. 

I don't know if you've played hearthstone lately, but no one plays Bloodfen Raptor anymore. On turn 4, deal 2 to everything will not just not do anything, but it will make the situation seem more hopeless for you, the next few turns when you proceed to lose. 

I was hearing they would remove brawl from warrior's classic set. And i had hoped to god they didn't. Because it's literally the only thing they have. 

they print voracious reader for aggro, they print ticketus for aggro. And they give you 4 mana deal 2 damage AOE. Why?

The expansion is here guys look what the other kids got.

And here's what you get timmy. Try not being you, maybe if you only played the game on an Iphone like the aggro players you'd get nice things too.

But for the suicidal and madlads out there here is how to do it (I tested this on Win10) :
-Open Settings and go to Date and Time
-Disable Auto Sync 
-Set the date to 2016 but don't press ok
-Launch HS and as soon as you see the "Hearthstone" logo confirm the date change
-Enjoy 

I was going over the Blizzard site and I was not able to find any information about potentially opening your pack early like what was previously offered (https://playhearthstone.com/en-us/news/23557138/open-madness-at-the-darkmoon-faire-packs-at-home-at-your-own-pre-release-fireside-gathering)

With the last expansion, as long as you were able to "host" a Fireside gathering at your house on your WiFi, you were able to open your packs.  I've not seen anything posted about Forged in the Barrens.  Does anyone have a spoiler for it?

A thread without an OP? Strange. Anyway, it will depend on the legendaries I open (don't like crafting stuff Day 1). These are definitely the top 4 that I want to give a try though:

Holy shit this actually works! I can finally have the best combo cards: Majordomo Executus and Emperor Thaurissan 

This is a bit of a rant, but mostly it's a question.

Whenever I am tied for health with another player, I am always ranked below them. When I am eliminated at the same time as another player, I always end up in the lower rank.

This was particularly frustrating today when I had the "Finish in the top 4" quest, got eliminated at the same time as another player, and I took 5th place while the other guy got 4th place. No quest completion for me.

My question is this: how does the game determine where to place players at the same health, or who lose at the same time?

PS: I know it's not Bob, he's too pure a soul to do petty stuff like this.

Maiev is still up in the store, even the description reads "available through March 22". My guess is that Blizzard forgot about hero skin rotations. Sigh.

I was looking through the flavor text of the new cards when I noticed Barrens Blacksmith's flavor text says "Maybe someday you’ll make it to Gadgetzan, kid". I also noticed that Barrens Blacksmith also has the same goggles and gloves that Alley Armorsmith has. COULD IT BE?

If it is intentional, I have to give props to whoever added these references into this set. We got to see the return of characters like Flurgl and Kazakus and also the grown-up versions of Elise's scouts through some of the mercenaries.

I think this will be a cool year for Hearthstone lore!

I was looking through rogue secret cards, and I noticed these two cards:

I never saw these cards before, so I'm bringing it up here.

This might have been part of Book of Heroes, I didn't play through the new ones yet.

Instead of bringing back originals with Deathrattle and end of turn triggers.

For example, if Impostor was silenced before dying, the Res cards have a chance to bring back a 2/6 silenced minion.

OK, I'm only really talking about casual mode.  To clarify, I'm an adult, have lots of other things to worry about in life, and don't really care about ladder, rankings, legend card backs, and so forth.  I just want to play some games and have some fun, though I'd prefer things to be relatively fair.

What I mean is, in casual, whenever someone doesn't like the matchup, they just quit.  If they don't get a good mulligan, they quit.  If they puke out some cards and I defend myself and turn the corner, they often just quit before I even damage their health.

The point is that I, usually, just end up playing the opponents who think they have an advantageous match-up or have drawn really well.  I know the answer would be to play ladder, but I've already explained about that.

My point is that, the way things used to be, your win would count toward your earning gold.  Now, when someone quits immediately, you get 0 XP, and you essentially lose all the gold you would be getting from quick concessions.

Like I said, I have other things to worry about in life, but I'd prefer the game to be fair, and this doesn't feel fair.  I'm only playing games where my opponent thinks he has the advantage from the start, and get no benefit at all from a concession.  Every time my opponent concedes, which is really often, I feel deflated, because I technically won but got nothing.

At least, for example, in Runeterra, if you win, even if your opponent concedes, you get double what you get when you lose (and even when you no longer get rewards for a loss, you still get full rewards for a win).  So, at least when your opponent concedes you don't feel like you were robbed of the chance to win, because at least the win counted for something.

I don't even know if there is any bonus to your XP if you win in casual, but, even if there is, you don't get anything when your opponent concedes immediately.

I really feel that there should be XP that you get for time played, and XP you get for a win itself, and you should get that win XP whether you play a long game or whether your opponent concedes immediately.

I mean, think about it, if you play 30 games, and your opponent concedes 10 of them, that's essentially 30.3 gold that you would have gotten in the old system, where you would get 0 gold now.  Add that up over 3 or 4 months of playing, and that actually quite a lot of gold and packs you will have lost out on by not getting anything from quick concessions.

Like I said, I have other things that are far more important in my life, but, still, I like not to feel so meh during all the frequent concessions.  I'm not about to start bothering with ladder, but casual just feels unrewarding.

Even if I got something like 25 XP for a concession win, if wouldn't be a lot, but at least I wouldn't feel cheated.

I'm not sure why things aren't configured where you get rewards for a concession just like you used to.  Perhaps the devs though that this new reward system would keep people from conceding, since you get no reward if you put no time in, but the opposite seems to have happened.

I also thought that granting XP for time played would induce people to play longer and more complicated games, but look how that turned out.  Everyone seems to just want to vomit cards as quickly as possible and win by turn 5 and get their 12 XP for such a short game.  I really don't get it, but that another subject I guess.

Anyway, like I said, it just seems meh a lot of the time.  People quit if they don't like the matchup, or someone doesn't quit because they think they can vomit cards and beat you in 2 minutes.  So you're getting 0 XP for the concessions and usually 12-20 XP for games where someone pukes cards and ends the game in a couple of minutes.  It just feels kind of useless when you need tons and tons of games at that pace to level up.

Yes, I know, I should play ladder, where I advance if someone concedes and they're not as likely to concede because of losing rank.  And I suppose that maybe the devs wanted to steer people into ranked play more.  I'm not putting people down who are into ladder, but it's just not something I care about.
