Lightsteed doesn't get much love in meta decks, and the decks that typically use it have been tempo oriented lists. We wanted to try putting it to work in a different way, in a Resurrect Priest! Yes, I know it's an evil archetype, but mixing it with this combo almost, almost... makes it feel less evil...

This deck drops several tools from the meta versions of Rez Priest to fit in 2 copies of Lightsteed, Holy Nova, Holy Ripple, and Inner Fire. Even you play Lightsteed on turn 4 and it dies before buffing anything, depending on the timing of your Palm Reading, it's possible to bring back 3 minions with Mass Resurrection and buff their health with a Holy Ripple on turn 9 or earlier. Ideally, you build a board with a few minions that Lightsteed keeps buffing, and you drop an Inner Fire or two on ones that reach decent health totals to knock opponents out. This is the reward for building a nearly impenetrable wall...

Side note, Moonfang is really fun to get the health buff from Lightsteed, as it makes her even more resilient! Now, with a 36% winrate across 11 games, I can't say it's a powerful deck, but it's a fun way to complete the Darkmoon Express achievement, or just play Lightsteed/Rez Priest in a different way.
