Rattlegore Warrior

Really loving this deck at the end of the Wailing Caverns meta right now, so I thought I'd share! I'd uninstalled the game after the Priest nerfs because I thought aggro would take over the meta, but lo and behold, the meta's doing... well, not great, but not horrendous either, so I came back and tried to make Control Warrior viable! I ended up with this list running a Rattlegore + Faceless Manipulator top-end win condition.

One of Control Warrior's biggest weaknesses has been its win conditions. C'Thun, the Shattered is powerful but makes your deck very, very bad. The Silas combo is a bit boom-or-bust because it depends on two independent conditions, each of which have multiple variables within themselves: 1) having enough armor to kill your opponent and 2) drawing all three combo pieces. Using Rattlegore as a win condition, however, allows you to consistently tutor your win condition through the use of Taelan Fordring (or [Hearthstone Card (Loremaster Polkelt) Not Found] if you really want to maximize redundancies).

Often, Rattlegore is a win condition all by himself! However, to ensure the miraculous doesn't happen (i.e. our bone bro getting whittled down to a 2/2), I streamlined the list to include more card draw, which enables us to run 2x Faceless Manipulator as a redundancy. We also have secondary win conditions (2x Faceless Manipulator on a large minion other than Rattlegore and 2x Troublemaker) in case we draw horribly, or in case we clearly need to win before Rattlegore can get online!

I could write a big long essay on the process of creating and optimizing this deck, but I'll just summarize the most important substitutions and upgrades and whatnot in list form below. Win Condition Optimizations/Upgrades

• Silas Darkmoon + Soulbound Ashtongue + Shield Slam --> Rattlegore (+ 2x Faceless Manipulator if necessary)
• Redundancy provided with secondary win conditions of 2x Troublemaker + 2x Faceless Manipulator

Draw Optimizations/Upgrades

• Optimized specific card tutors to the optimal tutors:cards ratio of 2:3
  • 2x Corsair Cache for 3 weapons
  • 2x Stage Dive for 3 total rush minions (including Kargath Bladefist's second half)
• Increased consistency of win condition through tutor effect (1x Taelan Fordring for Rattlegore)
• Increased total amount of card draw to ensure consistency
  • Prior builds often included only 1x Stage Dive, 1x Corsair Cache, and 2x Outrider's Axe for a total draw potential of 9
  • The addition of 2x Stage Dive, 2x Athletic Studies (which could discover Stonemaul Anchorman if need be), 1x Corsair Cache, 1x Stonemaul Anchorman, 1x Taelan Fordring, and 1x Overlord Saurfang dramatically increases the draw potential and redundancy of the deck (more than double if you were to roll Stonemaul Anchorman 100% of the time).

Optimized Survival Tools

• 2x Shieldmaiden --> 2x Scrap Golem (better overall in a meta with very few silence/transform effects, and a much more effective bait for Devolving Missiles/Lilypad Lurker prior to playing Rattlegore, Kresh, Lord of Turtling, or Troublemaker)
• Included 2x Far Watch Post as a tech against aggro (though I'm uncertain about whether another choice such as Wandmaker, Venomous Scorpid, Barricade, Shield Slam, or Bladestorm might be more effective)
• 2x Armor Vendor -->1x Overlord Saurfang
• Replaced several situational removal cards (Shield Slam, Bladestorm, Coerce) with more flexible removal and card draw
