Working version of a deck I’ve long wanted to build that received some unexpected support from Fractured in Alterac Valley. I was trying out Brasswing in here as well, but he seems unfortunately too slow without a way to cheat him out early…which is a shame because that effect is exactly what this kind of deck needs to handle early aggro. I’m trying to fit Crystallizer in as well so there’s SOME kind of 1-drop to play instead of passing the first two turns. Previous versions also had Benevolent Djinn in place of the Bronze Explorer, but I found that the dragon discover value was helpful as well as having a lifesteal minion that could maybe stick to act as an activator for Protect the Innocent on turn 5 (a rare dream.) 

The deck excels against aggro, as expected, as long as that aggro deck doesn’t have some kind of infinite value generating pirate ship that can keep up with you. I have found in early testing that I can take tons of punches, all the way down to 1 hp and bounce back with healing and Lightforged Cartel’s Immovable Object. Righteous Defense is quickly becoming one of my favorite cards in almost every Paladin deck, especially if it lands on an Immortal Prelate you’ve tagged with lifesteal and rush. I’m trying to find ways to shore up the early game to not fall so far behind-as of right now you’re basically depending on Samuro or Cariel to come back against a wide board. I’m honestly considering Wickerflame Burnbristle to help out the early game and maybe help bridge to both Cariels and rolling over my Prelates.
