FOREWORDS

Some thoughts and insights:

  • First of all, this deck is just a variant of the more known archetype but with the twist of Shadow Isle instead of Ionia or Freljord.
  • Its focus is to control the board with all the power of P&Z's shoots and SI's removals and then close the match with Champions.
  • From Bronze to Gold 2 it hoovers around 55-60% win rate, with good matchup against almost anything.
  • Games are usually long because you need to level up your finishers while surviving whatever the enemy will throw at you.
  • "Dark" in the name's deck because all the fun theme from P&Z is dampened by the Shadow Isle gloomy mood (but mostly because I cannot come up with a better name >_>).

HOW TO PLAY?

Early Game

  • Mulligan for cheap removal.
  • Only keep Ezreal as Champion and only if your opponent doesn't run too many spell that can remove it (from the Regions he run, I'm sure you can suppose what his deck is most of the matches).
  • Don't old back on removal but use them efficently so be prepared to soak some damage.
  • Use Rummage now to dig in only if you have a bad starting hand while your opponent is putting lot of pressure.

Mid Game

  • At this point you'll probably almost run out of cards, so save your mana for Progress Day! (possibly by also setup Heimerdinger the turn before).
  • Always keep Mushroom Cloud exclusivly as discard target for both Rummage and Get Excited!.
  • Thermogenic Beam should be kept for midium-size minions (but watch out because it's also Slow) while Vengeance is for those target that must be removed asap.
  • Flash of Brilliance is good fuel for your Champions, but if you're short on cards cycle it in the hope of find extra removal or draw effects (it happens pretty often that it would gift something that is already in your deck).

Late Game

  • By this time you should have Ezreal leveled up, so it's a good time to dish out all the damage you can on the Nexus by casting Burst spell all around (remember that most P&Z's spells can target the Nexus directly!).
  • Feed spells to Heimerdinger to build a versatile and large board to stop the aggression of your opponent (drop those little 1-mana bot only if you're indesperate need of blockers, otherwise just save space for something more useful).
  • Victory can be achieved both with massive spell damage on the Nexus or by an overwhelming wave of endless mechs.

NOTES

Considering the actual state of LoR, everything can change so the list may vary a lot depending on how the meta evolves and shift from league to league but the boneback is pretty solid and will allow you to switch cards in and out to find what fit best for you.

I'll update it when I'll do some big change but I'm too in a full experimental phase, so I'm not going to flood with new versions. Any comment and suggestion is more than welcome!
