The priest QUEST is likely double rattlecry effects then, it seems to be similar to single player ENEMY hero powers for quest rewards
Priest already had a deathrattle themed quest, I hope they do something else, maybe something to do with copying cards
First Warlock gets a quest, then Shaman so I guess since this is a Hero expansion every class will be getting a quest.
That's correct, and everyone gets a free one randomly!
I wonder if after this hero power is activated if playing a lifedrinker into shudderwock would do 12 damage (6 from the lifedrinker, and 6 from the shudderwock copying lifedrinker's battlecry) or 18 damage (6 from lifedrinker with shudderwock copying both activations of lifedrinker twice). I also remember seeing in a stream Harrison drawing cards by destroying a weapon twice so I wonder if you could use bog slosher to give a minion +4/+4 even though it should be in your hand already.
Either way though, this should be one of the most powerful quests. With lackeys being in the game a lackey generator is usually 2 battlecries in 1 card and in a battlecry deck even some bounce effects could make sense. Also great synergy with the new 2/3 that draws a card if you have a quest active. It's going to have some anti synergy with hero hagatha (although some amazing synergy with minion hagatha) but it's going to be in for a year longer than her. I know it's not too wise to give predictions when only a handful of cards have been revealed, but I wouldn't be too surprised if this turned out to be one of the strongest cards of the next expansion.
EDIT: Just realised this hero power wasn't passive so no Shudderwock memes unless you have the coin and there's never a good way to use it. Should probably be still decent but not nearly as good as I originally thought.
Question for the new quests if anyone knows... upon completion to you get a new hero power instantly or is it a card you cast?
You get it instantly, as soon as you complete the quest.
Your 6th Battlecry Minions will trigger twice!
Nope you must pay 2 mana for effect its not passive hero power
That won't be the case since it's not a passive hero power.
You get the Hero Power immediately.
I definitely didn't miss quests... is what it is though. this game always keeps it interesting at least to me
Only negative I see is anti-synergy with Hagatha's hero power. Otherwise it's fantastic. The late game controllable value is wonderful for control.
More for aggro shaman and perhaps wild.
Control decks ATM have Hagatha and she generally is a glut of cards, not to mention a useful AOE. It's basically do you bet on randomly generated spells giving you outs or do you put it all on your Shudderwock play?
After hero Hagatha rotates, then it will likely fit control ... but then there's no Shudderwock in standard.
I doubt it'll work with aggro decks, especially in wild, because it takes up a card and your turn 1 play.
I was already running only Sludge Slurper at one and a bunch of Battlecry cards for my Control Shaman. It looks like a perfect fit.
The only issue I have is the anti-synergy with Hagatha the Witch. I don't see this card beating her currently, but I'll certainly try it when the expansion launches.
Shudderwock especially in wild with Doppelgangster... now a 100% combo everytime
I was expecting to see this effect for hunter. A bit disappointed to see it in Shaman honestly.
It seems [Hearthstone Card (Hagatha, The Witch) Not Found] could find a bog to shape even in sands. I wanted to see more element-oriented theme than witch-oriented one in this expansion. I mean, earth elementals, earth element spells etc. It is sands after all.
I'm still hoping that they didn't produce transform-themed and shapeshifter bog creature cards in this expansion too.
For the card itself, it is good on paper, especially with Lackeys. Sludge Slurpers and Lackeys make you complete it before t5. Sounds good but I hope it won't break the game.
and for the details, it makes you get double Battlecry of ALL minions on that turn. that means it might even have an OTK potential without Shudderwock. 8 Kobold Lackeys can deal 32 damage to the face, well there is only 7 minion room on the battlefield but that's all which comes to my mind right now. I m sure someone will figure out better and possible combos.
There is a nerf potential in this card, for the record. 6 minions seemed less to me with all of lackeys and card producing potential.
Hunter's new hero power will be "Build a Dwarf: create a new minion from two random Dwarfs"
Warriors will be a random 4 -
7 armor
Discover a Dragon
summon 3 Dragon whelps 1/1
Do 1 damage to all enemies
