Very excited for this legendary quest. Can't wait to make a jade deck with it.
This is so awesome
Maybe this Quest and the other new shaman card EVIL totem will start a new meta - Lackey Shman, similar to lackey rouge
I took the liberty of going through all the Battlecry cards in Standard right now, and there really isn't anything that warrants a buildaround over this. Sure, you can pay 7 mana to get 11/11 in stats with Former champ, you can double up on Hagatha's battlecry on Turn 10, Fire Elemental/Lifedrinker aren't bad either, but this really can't compete with what's in standard right now.
But keep an eye on this, 100%. Doubling up on Battlecries is a very powerful effect, but there's really nothing that exciting you can do with it yet... but it's hard to imagine this won't be good at some point during it's life in Standard. For all we know, the support is coming this expac.
Any news on when will the daily reveal commence?
I think we might get a schedule late next week but that's just a guess. They really haven't said much more about that yet, aside from surprising us with a reveal yesterday.
Shaman Lackeys (even a non-Murloc focused version) is gonna be pretty interesting.
I like how they have designed the quest so that in wild you will have hero cards, genn, baku and new quest competiting. I like this very much.
However, this quest and Hagata can be played in the same deck if it's slow enough: you would play the quest first and try to complete it asap, then you'll use some of your powerfull battlecry, while using Hagata to gain more value if the game will be long enough. It's similar to some slow hunter deck playing both Deathstalker Rexxar and Zulljin, or other slow shaman deck playing Hagata and the Death Knight.
This is exciting. This is exciting.
This has meta-breaking potential. I almost thought you couldn't use the hero power and Shudderwock in one turn aside from having Coin, but then I remembered Maiden of the Lake existed.
which is 4 mana , and you need to play one turn earlier and easy to remove at that stage of the game. Its easier to combo it with Emperor Thaurissan, or as other said Fencing Coach. But in my opinion, this HP real potential not the doubble Shudderwock battlecry, its just the cherry on the top. Rather the flexibility of 7 mana 16 health restoration with Antique Healbot playing only one card, or the massiv tempo of HP, Doppelgangster Evolve for five 6 drops for 8 mana. Flamestrike with a 4/8 taunt body in the form of Primordial Drake for 10 mana, and its effecting every battlecry on the given turn so for really cheap heal every friendly character for 4 (Potion Vendor)while playing Sludge Slurper and a bunch of lackeys. And you decide if you want to turn it into tempo, value, removal or even anti-fatigue with Baleful Banker- not just a pile of useless totem at the lategame
And yes i am talking wild inklusive because there, this kind of HP is bonkers, and you can easily build a deck containing only battlecry minions.
It is just the 2 mana element card with the same action wrapped as a hero power? That card didnt see much play, dont think this hero power will be good.
That buffed next bc, not multiple which might be big difference like brann has shown us.
Also having that ability ready every turn for any battlecries is something that cant be comparable to a single card which can be used once and probably needs to be saved for a specific bc.
Last thing is that slower shaman decks dont like to hero power that much anyway after midgame so this is better option for quite a small investment.
This looks like a decent card, and fits into a lot of previous shaman styles, although the flavor isn't super original. I'm frankly just happy to see more cards getting revealed already. I thought We'd have to wait longer.
This is probably the best quest so far. Playing out six battlecries is not hard, and Shaman has a ton of excellent battlecries. I could easily see this slotting into just about any non-aggro Shaman deck (i.e. any Shaman deck that doesn't care all that much about turn 1), but since the payoff comes kind of late in the game, you don't need to include it. All in all, pretty good card.
The other two quests we've seen so far (Untapped Potential and Supreme Archaeology) feel a little too much like you need to build around them. Untapped Potential doesn't require a ton of work to get value, but the payoff comes no earlier than turn 5, so you need to be running the most expensive "choose" cards to see a lot of payoff. Supreme Archaeology certainly needs to be run with Plot Twist, unless they release some other similar drawing cards that do not dramatically fatigue you.
Seems playable, but doesn't look interesting enough to me
for me it is the opposite, it looks very interesting, but not very playable.
This hero power is legit good, there are so many good battlecry minions with burst damage, and the lackeys makes it even better.
It might slow shamans a little but the result is still very good once you finished the quest
Midrange shamans will love this card for sure. Control shaman will maybe be a thing.
Definitely nice for a proactive Jade Shudderwock deck. I've often found that in control matchups, the Totem hero power was more of a liability than a benefit, as it allowed easier Defiles, Godfreys, more devastating Psychic Screams, and if the opponent was wise to what you were planning, they'd just leave the totems on the board to make your Shudder worse to play. In the end, I often ended up not using the hero power even when I had mana left over. This helps me get those Jades bigger faster so that my Shudderwock is actually treatening lethal past taunts when played. Pretty nice, and hopefully very, very niche.
Maybe Jade Sham in wild will be stronger, i know, even sham playing with jades, but his win condition is broken minions and super tempo, but here we can create really fast giant jades.
For standart - pretty cool with slurpers, other - not too impressive, bad thing - like all quests - you must keep it and play on first rounds, that's mean pretty weak opening hand, but control-mid sham maybe will be stronger with it, oh, and you can use it before Hagatha and 100% full clear in late game for 6 and after this, you will generate your almost infinite value with her.
PS searched all battlecry minions and found. We can make Mecha'Thun deck possible again, Mecha'thun sham played before, but with this hero power he can draw much faster almost all draw is battlecry, and Japetto will draw you 4 cards and Galvanizer will reduce 2 mana, it's still meme deck, i think, but this quest 100% sure will be ok in Mecha'Thun Sham.
