Great for buff paladin. I feel this will make even paladin much better in wild.
Prince Keleseth is back. But this time it also buffs board and hand, can be played twice and has no deck building restrictions. Ok, no body and +2 Mana. Don't get me wrong: the fact that it comes not down before turn 4 (coin 3) is really a downside here. You can't play it this Kazakus, too.
Now that is a proper handbuff card....in that it no longer is limited to the hand and therefore allowed to be actually good regardless of how much draw you have.
Basically this is a tiny version of Survival of the Fittest...and that card is crazy good.
With the legendary that reduces thee cost of Holy spells and the Spirit Healer this can do some insane things, even though you probably need to combo it with a Libram deck to get access to Justice for the boardclears
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
Very good buff, and the synergy with the Fluffy Legendary that reduce it's cost.
Maybe they are trying again with a buff centric decks
Seems interesting. A little pricey perhaps but interesting none the less. There is a new way to reduce the cost of this but you usually won't be able to rely on anything of that sort.
2.5 times cheaper but 4 times less stats than Survival of the Fittest, but hopefully paladin can make better use of this buffs.
I am envoy from nowhere in nowhere. Nobody and nothing have sent me. And even though it is impossible I exist. ©Trimutius
That's a lot of buffs! And it has immediate board impact!
"Be excellent to each other." -Bill and Ted
Buff paladin may return ?needs some more buff cards and maybe we could see some cards that get some effects if the have more attack or hp.
can be fine with the legendary
I guess this could work in silver hand pally which it looked like they were trying to push in the core set.
Disclaimer: if the above is factually incorrect or complete rubbish it is definitely both intentional and comedy genius.
Very interesting card and totally in line with paladin. Basically a spell Mistcaller or a survival of the fittest wannabe.
This seems ok - but in combination with the new legendary this gets cheaper and is therefor even better!
Good Card overall.
Challenge me ... when you're ready to duel a god!
Baby Survival of the Fittest. I have my doubts about this though, feels a tad slow atm and I'm not sure if there will be enough cards that can make use of the stat boost. Survival had things like rushing beasts, clowns, and Strongman, we'll have to see if Paladin has similar cards on a smaller scale.
4 mana +15/+15 on average. Great value.
OBLIVION!
This seems like The Mistcaller, but worse. I don't think it will see play. The Keleseth effect at 4 mana with no body is not good.
can be a good card against control, but dont think its going to be really usefull on this meta but on wild its going to be a good card
Survival of the... Dude-est? Could be super anoying in whatever the pure/libram crap turns into.
Chumbawumba is the worst band name.
sleeper of the set
Worse version of druid spell
-=alfi=-
Handbuff, only it isn't restricted by what's in your hand. There are a lot of cards that are very strong when buffed, but handbuff strategies are generally too inconsistent since you have to draw the right cards at the right time. This is especially difficult for a class like paladin who has limited draw. This will definitely help to make handbuff decks more consistent, but it still may be a bit slow to be tier 1.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
Since Paladin has several minions that can heal him and others with really good stats/effects I think this is pretty good since you can get back on the game from the turn you did not develop because of playing this.
Discounted by the legendary, seems quite strong
handbuff paladin must be the favourite child of team5. never did work out and yet they keep trying
Adding a Mark of the Lotus to Prince Keleseth type effect on a class that tries to take on the board aggressively and whose curve can be very easily fixed, especially thanks to First Day of School allows for Invigorating Sermon to not be such a huge tempo loss as long as you have someone on board. And when adding Cariel Roame to the mix, a fast card with a discount effect, Invigorating Sermon has a very reasonable chance to be the centerpiece of a more aggressive midrange Paladin deck.
Rating cards on coolness factor rather than predicting power because I like screwing up rating averages (and because I suck at predicting real power levels, but we'll ignore that LUL)
Wins per class (2/6/22): DH-197; Druid-996; Hunter-91«60; Mage-1056; Paladin-1126; Priest-746; Rogue-961; Shaman-1095; Warlock-871; Warrior-906
Don't subestimate that card, Survival of the Fittest was poor rated at reveal and looks it now.
By The Holy Light!
Might be good enough with some copy cards. But it has two years to find it's niche.
I could see this being either too slow or very strong. I don't think the current Paladin lists would like to run this, probably a minion-heavy swarm Paladin would be the ideal environment for it.
Good card for the holy package
Banned for spamming.
This is pretty good as is, but with the new holy spell cost reduction minion, it is even better.
It can be okay if discounted with the other currently revealed cards but might be too slow. Can be pretty strong with Cannonmaster Smythe.
Summoning a whole bunch of 4/4 can be pretty hard to deal with remember quest rogue?
this is a card that in theory is good, but in my view will be very poorly seen in competitive decks
I am 69 years old and still reach Legend
Didn't think it was valid until someone mentioned Prince Keleseth.
I'm still not convinced, but I'm intrigued.
This is not a "worse" Survival of the Fittest. It is a smaller version, but smaller isn't the same as worse.
Paladin often finds itself in a position of already having a board and not wanting or needing to play additional minions on a turn. At those times, a spell like this is beyond perfect.
Good for the long game, but too slow in most match ups and most board generation comes from a single spell or minion. Paladin lacks larger hand boards in standard.
I feel like this is either meta-defining like Prince Keleseth, or unplayable like The Mistcaller.
Buffy approves
I'm not super sold on this card. I can see the value but I have the feeling that playing this card at turn 4 is a bit clunky. If u want have immediate advantage, u must "fill" the bord in the first 3 turn...otherwise this is a free turn for the opponent
4 mana is too much i think
seems nice but doesn't have synergy with tokens, which is prime aggro druid deck.
Survival of the Slightly fit. Of course it's a worse stat/cost ratio, but 10 mana cards are a huuuuuge investment. If Paladin has enough cards to take advantage of the effect (rush, copy) I think it could see some play.
Seems really powerful. The board-wide buff is certainly worth 1-mana on its own, but the buff to everything in your deck and hand could easily push this to being worth 3 mana. Obviously that's not what the cost is, but since this was revealed with some Paladin Holy spell cost reduction, I think it's clear you can get this to be worth it.
SotF, but more playable
Probably its an inclusion into aggro pally decks, but I'm a little torn over its high cost. At 4 mana, you're essentially passing a turn, and unlike Survival of the Fittest, which this card will inevitably be compared with, +1+1 is hardly going to ever get you board back if you don't already have it, and paladin obviously don't cheat mana in the same way druid does.
The idea is to reduce the cost with Roame so at very least it can be sort of a weaker board buff card for sometimes lethal. On its own, its sort of like a win-more card. Play this while you have board and win. No board, no glory.
I think many people overrate this card, this will only be good if you can reliably discount it imo
English is not my native language, so please excuse occasional mistakes
it reminds me a good old friend The Mistcaller but with a direct impact on the board. Plus its an holy spell so maybe there is more combo possibilties. It seems weak at first look but i bet well see recruits deck with this
Murlocs <3
While it's not Survival of the Fittest, it's also not a 10 cost card. It's decent enough on it's own. Combine it with any way to reduce the cost and it gets better.
Seems a little bit too expensive, unless you can cheat out this card (Alura is nerfed though).
It seems a little slow for four mana but it could still see play as a one-of in libram paladin alongside Cariel Roame since the Libram spells are confirmed to have the holy tag. However, it being 4 mana could still be a problem thanks to the new Kazakus card.
Ribbit
I think people are underestimating this card's potential.
Lemushki - The one and only since the 2006 rebranding.
Like a mini Survival of the Fittest. Obviously you'll want to play this is early as possible.
I mean handbuff has only ever somewhat worked in paladin & warrior so this card has some potential, especially with cards like Samuro
4 Mana 7/7
Kinda costly for the effect.
Have to see the rest of the card reveals for more synergy with this
Rogue DH
A poor man's Survival of the Fittest. Not as swingy but also not as clunky.
The deck needs to be minion dense for this to get good value. Not sure if this will work with dude-dadin. You can get a wide board from all the generated dudes, however, the dudes don't get buffs if they aren't on board since they are usually summoned by spells.
When handbuff grows up into playablebuff. Let's go!!!
I've seen this effect so many times on fan-made cards, so I really like that it's finally in the game.
It has pretty decent potential, although you'd probably want a board before playing this. Fortunately, you are playing Paladin which is quite good at getting boards.
They are redefining archetype in a fun way ; we'll have to coin a new term for Hand Buff Pally, as it no longer is limited to its hand!
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
Not sure what to think of this card. Seems really powerful with its Prince Keleseth-like effect and you can run two copies of it. It's also a 4-mana spell that's dependent on being drawn. It'll suck if this is in the bottom of your deck.
I don't know if this will see play. Looks high-rolley unless you can tutor it out.
I think it'll only see play If there will be a way to cheat it (play for reduced mana or for free)
paladin has some diffecnt cards but it seems they synergize with ecah other
nice holy spell
I'm not online it's just your imagination
Well we already know that the cost of holy spells can be reduced thanks to the paladin legendary Cariel Roame so this will most likely become insane, especially after casting 2 of them
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
I'm giving it 2 stars. Seems too slow to be relevant.
Seems right between Keleseth and Mistcaller, with added board interaction. I think the Holy part is crucial here for a chance to see play - if there's good support for Holy spells, this could easily work.
Don't sleep with this card, High Abbess Alura is still in game.
Could be brutal if playing this with the Spellburst you get the other, auto +2/+2 to ALL is scary.
Papa Nurgle wants to share his gifts.
Could it truly be...? A GOOD HANDBUFF CARD? And in paladin, the one class who can actually use handbuffs? (In wild at least Handbuff paladin is pretty decent.) This looks very good, and Cariel Roame can lower it's cost to 3 mana. This seems very good.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
Very meh
Buff paladin deck me like this
To enemy too?
Idk, its Prince Keleseth plus Mark of the Wild plus Smuggler's Run in one card, I can definitely see it finding a place somewhere in the class that has dudes on demand
Let's wait and see, but this might be interesting someday, just don't know where.
I really don't like this one, feels too expensive. It might see play in a recruits deck maybe, but even not sure it would make the cut. Let's see if there's some more Holy spells support to help this one put in play ?
Make pally great again!
A lot of similar cards to do the same for less(and sometimes just a bit better). But I overall still like it, might never play it since I can't play Pally and try to lean away from the class
Is this better than Prince Keleseth or The Mistcaller? Maybe? 4 mana is kinda steep. Play normal size cards turn 1-3 and then nothing turn 4 seems kinda bad
Neat buff. Probably too slow most of the time.
Looks good, but not sure which type of deck would fit this.
♡ u 4ever 2008 - 2022
It's alright. Might be a bit too expensive. Might try it in handbuff paladin in wild.
Casual Dragon Cardgame enthusiast.
It feels like it should be good, but there have been other effects similar to this one that didn't get played. Mistcaller was similar (same mana cost?) and wasn't really viable. I hope this one doesn't make the cut.
Unfortunately, common sense isn't as common as it should be.
This doesn't feel impactful enough for its mana cost. Sure, SHR and Secret Paladins need ways to follow up their wide boards, but I don't think they will be willing to bend so far backwards for a four mana Mark of the Lotus. Also, this competes with the other more immediate and efficient four-cost plays that Paladin is known for. Overall, I think Invigorating Sermon is too slow for its cost.
For glory, honor, and gold!
Good Card
I've been here a while; just hanging out in the background.
Worse The Mistcaller, so no.
Interesting card, could be good but it's 4 mana without a body. But since it also buff minions on board you can probably get away with it. I can see this being played in swarm decks rather than control or libram.
Too slow and too little support for dude pala
Budget 10 mana druid spell. Great card and an even card so odd paladin cannotbenefit.
dude paladin is getting an insane amount of buffs here
Even if it's quite slow, I like this card. Probably can find place in some control decks.
Not terrible, and made better if the cost can be reduced!
I think all the buffs make this a slightly more playable card, especially with its holy Tag.
At this point I have spent too much money on these games to quit.
Now pass me another pack, and lets see what I pull.
good card
Kenny's little poet. 😇
Good for Charge Res Paladin
Cool card, but looks too slow.
A little slow, but quite a good card in arena
Average version of survival of the fittest
Survival of the Fittest was good because it made every minion you owned into a monster and won you the game if you had some minions on the board. This just doesn't do that.
Mass buffs are great! This will be played one way or another, and the legendary synergies well
For The HORDE!
Blizzard, I'm not disappointed that you couldn't make Handbuff Paladin a thing. I'm disappointed that you tried.
I don't want to cure cancer; I want to turn people into dinosaurs.
too slow
I think its too much slow
tbh, way too slow a card
The only way I can see this being viable is if there is a reliable way to consistently have a board of at least 2 minions going into turn 4. Too slow otherwise.
Arena > Wild > Standard
good
Agrro paly will be a thing?
Expensive, but going to be a good card. thank god it's not also a permanent buff to silver hand recruits
Great buff, but don't know when to play it. In early game too slow, in late game too late. Only in mid, but you have to pay 4 mana for it, which could be used better
Very strong card, considering it also affects minions in the deck. It's likely to see some play
Effect is too minor for the cost. Aggro decks will be looking to close the game by turn 4-5, and this doesn't really do that.
Strong 💪
it seems slow
Super weaker version of SotF. I doubt it's good.
I like buffs, but this seems expensive and slow at 4 mana.
Interesting, I guess. It takes hand buff paladin to the next level, but it comes with a HUGE tempo loss. Maybe if it buffed all friendly minions everywhere (including silver hand recruits) it would be good, but since it doesn't, I don't know how much we'll be seeing this card.
I like this. If it only buffed the hand and deck I'd call it dead, but letting you buff your board as well means you can get at least some value straight away instead of wasting a turn investing.
Welcome to the site!
IDEK. This card seems fun, but not competitive.
