the hidden extra barrens pack experiment

okay so hear me out , blizz said  that brawls will give  more recent packs right ? so lets assume this happens  when patch 2.0 goes live , then, we will assume those packs will be barrens because it will be the most recent expansion (technically it still darkmoon but darkmoon will be way less valuable  a week before the new expac) now the fun starts if the patch goes live  tuesday 23 and you have a pack for the last week in the chest it should  trasform into a barrens pack! now this is all a theory but if you dont play tavern  next week ( you can play but you cant win so i dont see a point XD) you dont lose anything and worst case scenario  after the patch rolls you can still get your classic pack if it didnt work ( you can do it against  a friend to save time)

 i will do it so lets experiment with me guys!  a little shout-out to the alleria guy (or girl) that always remember about the free arena pack,  it inspired me to do this  Thread, you rock!

  • Hey, this is an interesting idea. Not sure, if they will change the pack in the chest retroactively, but who knows. Since there is no drawback to wait for the pack a little longer, I´m with you on this one :) Btw, thanks for the shout-out to me, I appreciate it :) I´m always glad to help if I can.

    • no problemo my friend you dont know how much free packs you gave me XD but the professor Oak in me want to know: are you a boy or a girl? i know it isnt my bussiness but i feel i know you  a long time but never get this answer ( if it is a sensitive matter forgot i said anything and sorry , i never know what i can ask and what i cant in the internet these days XD) your answer will not change anything in your long lasting  one sided friendship,  but my mind will

      get one less question to worry about XD.

      • Now, are you sure you are not mistaking me for someone else? Our beloved moderator sinti is responsible for all the free Arena pack alerts/posts, your gratitude should be targeted to them. On your question, the magic of the internet is you can be whoever you want to be :)

        P.S I´m sure another Arena reset is happening very soon with the new expansion, I´m sure there will be a reminder too.

        • welp okay, glad i didnt offend you :) i sorry when i think free arena tickets i always think of  you, i guess i you coment a lot on those threads and my mind misremembering it XD, but you are really helpful too i sure.( i probably  wrong but i always thought you was the one that started with the arena ticket threads)  but just for justice sake thank you sinti for your free arena posts :)

  • I'm going to guess that the tavern brawl that week will give you a locked Barrens pack so all in all the same.

    • i dont think you understand , at the start  of the experiment  you have a classic pack in the chest ,then tuesday it will (in theory) trasform in a barrens packs and then wednesday you will get the barrens pack of that week so you will end with another free pack! it is a win-win for us.

  • there still hope my friends and now is easier XD forget about last week pack but if you wait this weds just a day you pack may trasform when the pacth arrives!(it will be a phoenix pack by the way that is confirmed by the pactch notes).

  • Worst case scenario, the tavern brawl mode will be closed when the FitB expansion arrives preparing for a special tavern brawl celebrating the new expansion and you don't get the rewards at all.

    Never happened before, but may still happen.

      I doubt they will put up a Brawl just for a day, many of us use to complete it later on, so they would risk a big uproar from players. I think it´s safe to wait, but who knows, it´s Blizz. I think the pack won´t change tho, so it doesn´t really matter when you do it imo.

      P.S. @greenhatjynx78 don´t forget the free Arena pack ;-)

  • Honestly, they should give a Classic AND most recent pack.
