Tombs of Terror: Final Murlock Boss

Just thought I would post this for fun and to help out if anyone finds themselves annoyed with the final Murlock Boss. He has 300 health and you can technically go back and fight him over and over until you beat him but I got incredibly lucky with my Treasures on my first attempt and was able to take him out in one shot. The key cards were Runaway Gyrocopter as seen in the screen shot below and Titan's Ring (I think that was the name...gives all your minions +1 Health and Taunt). I could have finished the Murlock off many many many turns earlier but I wanted to see his deck and if he had anything unique in it other than "Fill my board with Murlocks every turn.". Turns out...he doesn't. lol. But yeah, if you get the Runaway Gyrocopter as a Treasure option take it, as it is invaluable on the final boss as it overs consistent non-stop board clears.

  • Also managed to beat it on the first try as reno. I had the heal 2 health at the end of your turn passive, and the passive that gives your Minions +1 health and taunt. Trust me those treasures + Frost Lich Jaina is Nuts! Never had any Trouble staying alive.

    I don't remember what my treasures were, had some pretty bad ones.

  • Almost beat it at first try too! Got a crazy good deck with the "deal damage to every minion at the start of every turn" anomaly, the windfury 1/3 weapon, frost litch jaina and the gyrocopter... Lost because I made too many mistakes in a row. It seems that coming back later feels a little bit more challenging (at least for me) than the first try. He made some crazy plays and was way ahead on turn 2

  • Was not ready. Had a deck full of murlocs, and he kept transforming mine into that guy that draws cards when murlocs die. He milled about 2/3 of my deck that way. By the time I got him down to 70 health, I was out of cards and he had like 30 some in his deck. Beat him pretty easy the next time since his heath carries over

  • I almost beat him first time, only 12 hp left... But second time I got twice the treasure that summons a legendary twice and a khadgar that always starts in my hand you can imagine the result !

  • I beat him on the first try with Finley and the treasure that gives all opposing minions -1 attack. During the 200-100 HP phase I managed to get more murlocs on the board than the boss, so the golem's deathrattle was actually beneficial to me. The 100-0 HP phase was a bit scary since I was approaching the end of my deck, but fortunately the hero power of that phase needs to recharge, so the boss was only able to use it once before he ran out of life.

    By the way, that -1 attack treasure is really good for the earlier bosses as well, since a lot of them go wide (the ones I got, anyway, I guess it's random). And the AI doesn't take it into account, for example trying and failing to remove your minion using 0/1 BEEEES!!!.

  • Beat it first try with enemy minions cost 1 more and have -1 attack treasures. Had great weapons too, they carried my game along some spell damage early. Vs last boss his second hero power will help your murlocs more than his so that made him practically kill himself mid-game. He tributes his murloc to buff your board 😂

  • Just discovered an OP combination that will let anyone totally destroy him. 

    Aegis of death + Primordial Bulkward.

    You have 5 peacefull turns followed by 2 pyroblasts on your enemies face... It is incredible

  • currently on my third attempt. Got it down to 40 on the first run, then down to 12 on the second mainly because I misread what Primordial Bulwark does and  thought it would Iceblock me the entire turn.

    Definitely having fun though. So many new treasure and synergies you get to try out. Definitely feels ilke a step up from Dalaran

  • Hot damn that was fun! Played Reno, took the damage HP, and the treasure that refreshes and discounts your HP every time you play an even-cost card. Just torched everything all day long. Beat the first 2 bosses on turn 3 with Mana Addict into Sorcerer's Apprentice then spells-go-nuts. Beat Murloc Golem on first try. Love this stuff!

  • I played a run on Anomaly mode (normal version) that gave Double Battlecry passive with Finley.

    Got Shudderwock early on alongside Blade of the Burning Sun. I actually ended up burning the blade in the final boss fight but it didn't matter. I controlled the board hard, played my buff cards, and let him lethal himself to the last third of his health at which point I went back to control.

    The 50/1 really made me laugh on the 7th encounter.

    Oh yeah, had some Darkness in there too =)

    I did have a fun run before that with Reno and that crazy Ancient Reflections. Also had picked up Band of Scarabs which made the extra murlocs the opponents were getting all trash-tier. Getting out a bunch of Lich King through the effect made for hilarity.

    Absolutely incredible chain of events here. Took Crook and Flail.

    Also, Ol' Toomba in another run swapped out a Gnoll from my Hogger for a Kalecgos. Absolutely amazing to have a free spell every turn for Ancient Reflections value.

    Have not yet touched Heroic but already Tombs of Terror is feeling even better than The Dalaran Heist. I started playing the Heist exclusively after it launched and didn't touch much constructed again until Uldum came out. It's really nice to have something different when standard gets boring.

  • This is definitely a fun PVE expansion and I'm happy to see others success in it while having fun :). I can't wait to take a crack at the Heroic version. I imagine it is going to mudstomp me into oblivion the first time. lol.

  • What happens with their health once you kill Plague lords? Back to 300?

  • I beat the murloc boss first try with Reno + stealth minions and -1 attack for enemies (which as he has murlocs is pretty OP) and 2 treasures that let you gain a mana crystal and discover a card for each boss you've killed so turn one I had a full hand and 8 mana! Plus I had DK Jaina so it was pretty easy.

    The second chapter boss got me though with Finley :(

  • EZ final boss. I just get Gurubashi Hypemon into 1 mana King Togwaggle and play him when the boss got 10 cards. I stole all his cards LUL

     

     

  • Also took it on my first try, definitelly had enjoyed this run a billion times more than any PVE adventures before... Still haven't got my golden pack from the Dalaran Heist, as im just never fortunate enough to beat it.

  • The VIP Tavern Treasure gave me the option to play Bob’s “Bobalicious Deck”. It replaced my entire deck with treasures from previous PVE modes! Needless to say, both Plague Lords got wrecked first try.

    Really enjoying this mode so far, its very flavourful and although the Plague Lords were challenging, they were very fun fights. Also, finally getting to play as Reno was epic.

  • Final Boss was a bummer for me when it started to pump out 10/10 Murlocs: I didn't plan for that.

    Anyway, this wing is fun and everything, but it convinced me I will NOT buy the adventure this time. I will stick with my F2P policy.

     

    However, I have to admit Dual Class perks and hero powers are extremely fun (I wonder if we'll get some for PvP one day). 

    PS: Bazaar Bob made my day.

Old Murk-Eyes over the course of the fight that each went straight face for 10-20 dmg each. I honestly think those were the only face hits the boss got on me, but obviously all it needed...still though that was very fun and I look forward to more!

      Same thing happened to me. He had no other way of dealing damage to me (the summon extra legendary for free is busted, especially with Silvanus

        Haven't gotten that treasure yet, but beat the boss by a mile on round 2 because I got the Recycling power. +2 armor for every dead friendly minion in this kind of roulette wheel of cheap tokens? Yes, please and then trade, trade, trade to burn him out! I think I had over 50 armor at one point...

  • I found this one incredibly easy. I'm struggling with the second one though.

  • Heh, my murloc guy in 3rd phase, with 96 hp, stole High Priest Thekal, and yea, he casted him next turn. I lost but he ended with 1 HP  :D

  • Also did a one-shot with Reno. I really like how they improved on the previous solo content.

    I'm just worried that I will have to play solo content for the rest of my life, if I decide to beat it in all possible variations...

  • Really like this Adventure, so much fun, damn!!!

     

  • Can't say I was happy with my experience against the boss. The first time I had an average deck, but managed to whittle him down to 54 HP.

    The second time I had a much stronger deck. But on turn 2 he drew THREE murloc generators, managed to get a [Hearthstone Card (Scargill) Not Found] through the random murloc generation. Which enabled him to get his 10/10 out. Turn 3 he had Everyfin is Awesome and missed lethal by like 8 dmg. Turn 4 I was done for. :(

  • Got it first try thanks to Shudderwocks+Thekal + a Healing rain Hagatha token.

    At some point I was at 7 health but had Crystalsmith Kangor + 2 Hallazeal the Ascended on board with Eye for an Eye in play..  plague starts going face for lethal with a 4 attack murloc and I heal for 16. Had no idea it worked that way.

      Secrets going off count as your spells. They also benefit from spell damage, for example.

  • Just beat the first wing on legendary. Got great drops for the fight with Captured flag + Titanic Ring giving all my minions +1/+2 and taunt(!), as well as LOCUUUUSTS! and Murky's Battle Horn for huge instant boards.

     

    It's a long fight, so settle in, just don't bother trying to fatigue the plague lord because his final form will completely restock his deck. Just go face and pray.

     

    Also, Map of Uldum is incredibly busted so pick it if you can. Didn't get it on this run but you pretty much can't lose if it's in your starting hand.

  • first time my deck was not all too good, but I was able to get him down to 130 HP or so.

    my next run I had 2 captured flags, and I had like 6 babbling books in my deck, and thanks to Bob one of them was always in my starting hand.

    I steamrolled him pretty hard the second time, he never stood a chance.

  • The final murloc boss only had 2 health for me. I smacked him with my weapon and the match last less than two seconds, wierd.

      Totally agree.

      I've ended the 2 wings at first try, and the murlocs plague with "heroic" difficult at first try too.

       

      Today I'll go for the second heroic wing, but I'm disapointed with It.
