The nerf to Dragonbane Shot could be a buff to Odd QL Hunter in Wild. Not sure if I should be scared.
No, you should not, lol. Questline hunter is already terrible in the current meta and odd questline is even worse. A 3 mana deal 2 is not gonna change that.
It looks fun! Playing the cards to the locations is very similar to the physical card game Smash Up. A lot of similar mechanics between the games as well.
This deck essentially wins 3 ways, removal value, big dudes off tri beam or farron, and ezreal.
Is it possible to beat a well balanced 3 prong strategy absolutely, because none of those things are individually great or strong on their own, due to inherent low synergy
2. Darkness I won't re-share but the list I use is around 70% winrate.
3. Viktor aphelios 57% not really a control deck so much as a combo deck with stall but sure (CICACAIEGQAQEBABAIBQIAYFAYBQSI2JKRLFZWIBAMAQGCKVAIAQIJRHAIBQICYSAA)
4. Feel the rush actually a ramp deck but at 65% winrate this is the deck people think is the best control deck and it's obvious to see why (CECACBABBYBACBIBFABQCAIME4ZAIAYBAMDAUFQCAECACDADAEAQCFBUAEBACBITDE)
So thats 1 control deck and 1 ramp deck that are hitting those high winrates, compared to something like 5 aggro decks.
(Pirate aggro) (scouts) (yoi) (Riven viktor) (overwhelm) (spiders) and more
So generally speaking if there are 6 aggressive decks that have 60% plus winrates and 1 control deck and 1 ramp deck with a 60% plus winrate arguably aggro is better/more prevalent.
There are bad matchups, for sure that's the polarizing nature of the meta. But it plays well into catlyn ezreal, into aggro, into midrange. Most of the stuff that people are playing. Then if you find you're quing badly switch to something else.
I really enjoy this card. With the 5 energy it'll cost, we won't get to play it until late-game, but that isn't a problem when we consider that we're going to be playing this either to simply block late-game options for our opponent, or turn the tides in a location that we didn't invest much into early on. I could see Hobgoblin being a key part of winning games.
This actually looks really fun. Deckbuilding is gonna be quite hard though. You pretty much have to think of every location in the game since some of them are really limiting like Crimson Cosmos (Can only play 4-6 cost cards) and The Space Throne (Can only play 1 card in it) and there's like 50 of them. Maybe it's their intention to make discovering the meta as difficult as possible so that technically every card is viable. It will be chaotic but personally I'm very interested to see where this goes.
Also, the snap mechanic is absolutely going to peak my anxiety. It's a terrifying concept but a very thrilling one.

All the Best Control Deck (Codes)
Here for credibilitiy sake I will share every top winrate control deck code.
Because card game honor or something, along with my opinions strength and weaknesses of each.
1. Catlyn ezreal 56% (CQDQCAQDBEAQGAYNAEBQIEIBAUFJQAICAEBS4NYDAECB6JBUAMCQIBQMBUBACAIDGMAQCBA3AA)
This deck essentially wins 3 ways, removal value, big dudes off tri beam or farron, and ezreal.

Ultimate Control
There are bad matchups, for sure that's the polarizing nature of the meta. But it plays well into catlyn ezreal, into aggro, into midrange. Most of the stuff that people are playing. Then if you find you're quing badly switch to something else.
Tenticle Pron
Sorry are we talking about credibility in the context of a card game?
I have a real job lol.
The most powerful control deck overall is the shadow list I provided for the current meta.
4/5 out of catylyn/ezreal, Overwhelm, and a number of other decks before losing to yoi for their infinite value.

This game seems cool. Nice to see Brode in this role again so many years later!
