Honestly, I do not think Kael needed a nerf. Just like everyother deck in the format it can only be countered by hand disruption. No clue why those decks can exist but Kael has to be nerfed.
First of all you all are doing a great job to keep this forum spam free. One thing I'd like to know (or get changed if not already) is that spammers in old threads move them to the recent threads and the threads stay there even after deletion. So there is something like "Last Post 1 year and 3 months ago" showing up in the recent threads.
Yeah, that's something we still need to figure out on how to handle. It ends up being the way we deal with caching that information. Our forums aren't exactly the best piece of software that I've ever written. Hopefully we end up with some time to give them a face lift in the future to get rid of oddities like this.
Switcheroo: Deserved nerf. This isn't a change because of power level, but because of how it feels to play against a deck that abuses this card. In standard it felt bad facing 12/12 Twin-fin Fin Twins on turn 4, and in Wild it was miserable to get OTKd on turn 3-4. Also good thing it got banned in wild, because wild still has plenty of ways to abuse the new version of Switcheroo. (R.I.P. everyone that crafted The Darkness for that deck, but tbh they should have seen it coming.)
Raid the Docks: Might actually make a slight impact in standard. Maybe we can finally get a better chance of Mutanus the Devourer their questline reward? Would be awesome. But this change doesn't "solve" any of the problems with The Juggernaut so i guess this can be compared to the Flesh Giant "nerf", as a nerf that makes almost no difference. In wild, this 100% wont make any difference because 1 more cheap pirate is so easy to complete.
Pufferfist: With 1 less health it will be a lot more susceptable to removal which is a good thing. This minion was absolutely insane, and with it being a 3/3 it will become a bit more balanced. 1 dmg board clear on top of premium stats is just very strong. This change will actually have a big impact on Pirate warrior, Pirate rogue and Token DH.
Miracle Growth: Good change, on one side this makes the turn 7 play less.... varied. But on the other side this simply means you cannot Guff into Miracle Growth. The fact that Guff and Scales remain untouched tells me that they probably dont want to nerf those 2 cards because those 2 keep the ramp druid archetype alive. And i'm guessing they want to keep Ramp druid as a main druid archetype for the rest of the year.
Kazakusan: Amazing change, now you actually can't just slot it in AND now you have to put in some effort in order to get the effect. Also now you can actually run non-dragon minions in your Kazakusan decks and still proc the effect if there is a non-dragon minion in your deck! So this change is a nerf to Kazakusan druid, but also a BUFF to Dragon Priest and control warrior!
Kael'thas Sunstrider: No clue why they unnerfed this card in the first place, thank yogg they fixed their mistake.
All around good changes i.m.o. But i'm still a bit concerned. Mr. Smite dodges another nerf, and i'm kinda scared of DH right now. Token DH is really strong and ALMOST unchanged. But hey maybe with Kazakusan druid getting nerfed maybe some control decks might become a bit more viable, which in turn will counter Token DH. I hope so at least. Also the fact that they don't change The Juggernaut tells me that they REALLY want to keep pirate warrior alive for probably a long time.
Eh... i think i'll craft back quest warrior for 2 weeks then
I'm a little sad about kazakusan, I've played it without abuse his power, now seems tough play it properly...
Also didn't seen the switcheroo combo til now, and i have the darkness lol (but I'm waiting to open sunken packs 'cause the golden epic is not copy protected)
It's been a dead card for me many times but eating a shellfish could be a little too good. Also the collossal but that could be good to have a answer for. But the swings are a lot for a nonepic like this.
There is unfortunately no precedent for this because the first card that got banned, demon seed, is still in standard. Im not sure if they would give them the old warsong commander treatment, but Switcheroo definitely be worthy of it. Turn 4 OTK is about as fast as it gets, even in wild.
But at what cost? Switcheroo getting banned in wild. This means Darkglare Priest will be noticeably weaker, but I'm sure we'll find a replacement for it even if it's not as good as Draw 2 minions. Funny that I predicted the nerf, but it ended up getting banned anyway. I guess they hate that deck more than I do.
Also the Pirate QL nerf and Kazakusan rework are pretty significant for wild.
RIP Darkglare Priest, my latest favorite Wild deck :(
I think the Standard nerf would be sufficient for Wild as well. Boar Priest would need to run Inner Fire or Bless to do the combo, but the extra combo piece and more mana needed would push the deck out of the meta. And Darkglare Priest would stay playable.
Edit: I just remembered Topsy Turvy exists, that would also be playable, but the deck is already quite inconsistent.
What's darkglare priest? I need to play It before the nerfs!
Honestly i love the Kazakusan change, as he fits much better now thematically. And you can put him in a dragon deck that isn't completely exclusive dragons, opening up a ton of options.
The Switcheroo nerf is funny, because it essentially only means priest needs only one additional card to do whats its been doing, which will explain why it got banned from wild despite a nerf. So...what are you going to be doing in two years time when it moves to wild proper, team5? Or are we going where a turn 4 lethal is essentially too slow then?
Isn't the plan for all banned cards to change them drastically when they rotate out of Standard? So at that point they can give it the Warsong Commander treatment. "Draw 2 minions. Give them +1 attack if they have Charge" sounds like a pretty good fix to me, especially as homage to the fact it is currently being abused by a charge minion :P
Glad to see nerfs to Kazakusan and quest warrior, although Im sure quest warrior will still be somewhere lurking in our nightmares.

Im not too worried about dhunter. Ive played it to some success, but its clear that its only there because it has a good matchup against druid (one of the few decks that does) and quest warrior. It only really has two power cards, Battleworn Vanguard on 2 and Drek'Thar on 4. Miss either of these and the deck functions like a wet noodle unless your opponent literally doesn't know how to play the game and Wrathscale Naga rng is in your favor. But admitably, if druids do drop to tier 3 again then there's a possibility of it evolving to a more midrange deck with Illidari Inquisitors
The change will surely bolster both shaman and paladin decks, particularly rainbow shaman and control pally. Face and quest hunter also losses its worst matchup as well, so it'll likely slot in but its terribly weak against token dhunter so we'll see.
Next on the complain list following this change? Miracle naga mage probably.
I don't think it is, 3/4/3 sounds much better. If the Questline was an infinite value option for a midrange deck, it would be fine. The issue is it fits into aggro and comes out at around the time the deck slowly starts running out of steam. If it just came way too late for Aggro to even be a consideration, the effect would be perfectly fine. An Odd Warrior could use it as an inevitable finisher (similar to DMH), for instance, with doubled effect from Brann or Zola. There's no threat of that deck aggroing anybody down, hence it can have infinite value.
Wild is playable again and more balance for Standard. Overall very good changes. I am happy that the Blizz of today is more active about balancing Standard and Wild. The balancing is not perfect, but this attitude is a big improvement compared to the balancing philosophy years ago.

https://hearthstone-decks.net/spell-priest-6-legend-corbettgames/ Here’s a link, it’s really fun, definitely play it while you can. I was going to feature it on OutofCards but was waiting for nerfs and the deck won’t be nearly as good without Switcheroo.

Why don't let us fight in Naxx with classic decks?

Anyone have suggestion to how to deckbuilding like when it was just released? Is still possible or too many cards have been changed?

Sorry, but the less stormwind quests sees play, the more healthier it would be for all of us.
It makes more sense to unnerf The Demon Seed right now to be honest, but for the same reason it should stay where it is, in standard obscurity.
