Super glad of the task change. By the 12th I will have finished all the other mercs' tasks, and it'll be nice to just be able to rattle off Murky's tasks in quick succession so I can get on with life without having to report in to do my dailies or hunt for Strangers!
So instead of nerfing Valeera they incstead decided to give a bunch of mercs completely unrelated anti-stealth mechanics meaning that thee meta will still revolve around either playing Valeera or countering her.
Just fucking nerf the bitch, it can't be that difficult, she's useless in PvE anyways.
Mercenaries will continue to have updates like events, balance changes, bug fixes, and general improvements in every patch, but the team will be shifting its major content beats to the X.4 patches. That means that the next bunch (and we do mean bunch) of new Mercenaries, Bounties, and Tasks will come in a few months.
It's great that they finally got the point where the mode and team is in such a position that mercs can have a update cycle similar to BG, just like promised when the mode launched. Not that it wasn't BG like, but instead of 1 big and multiple minor patches each month, Mercs only had monthly "medium sized" patches.
Though I do wonder if they are pushing the Mini-set a month back for this.
Straight up a better Arcanite Reaper already, but also key in pulling out the Sunken Defectors to the top. 100% going to be the top end of Aggro DH for the next year.
Silence any class perhaps. With the addition of Smothering Starfish there's now enough neutral silencing card for everyone.
Considering the silence archetype can brutally punish player that rely heavily on provocation wall (druid in wild for example) and mass-freezing (chaman and mage mainly); maybe there will be a spot for it at some point in the meta.
I tried a silence priest list for a bit this season. It ended up being consistent when played in a very aggressive way (outpacing even Pirate warrior reliably). A 4-ATK / 1-mana drop would definitively fit the smorc battleplan. (but I hatesmorc :-( )
Also, it's a beast. So some druid or hunter archetype may find an use to it in a really distant future...
On the one hand I do agree that this diamond skin for purchase is horrendously overpriced. On the other hand, it's a purely optional cosmetic and whales are gonna whale, so why care if someone wants to dump that much money on a diamond skin?
Also, Drek'Thar is stupid expensive, but I am super grateful they are offering him for coins too. I have more coins than I know what to do with just gather dust, so this is an insta cop
This will be one of those decks you might try and try and wish it were better, but then you lose all your stars and decide to go have some ice cream instead.
It is claimable in Collection/Naxx achievements, or it is supposed to be, but it appears to not be working right now. I have the achievement, I dont have a Diamond Loatheb yet.
New Rogue Minion - Swiftscale Trickster
ALMOST a bad Prep on a stick, paired with Azsharan Vessel, Blood in the Water, and Smokescreen, it becomes... Okay?...
Yeah, nevermind, this IS a bad Prep on a stick.

With a Bone Glaive on the following turn to curve out, the Sunken Defectors are starting to look very scary.

I didn't have any trouble in either normal or heroic. I always seem to get lucky dodging these bugs.
Edit: @apsoteljoe's comment reminded me I did it before the patch, not after. So ignore me.

I love the diamond cards animation, but that frame is so off from hearthstone, look like is from another TCG

PS: Diamond cards are already so bad when you compare them to the premiums from Gwent, even "foils" from Arena look way better
