  • Wolverine Releases September 15 2026, First Look at Gameplay

The footage seems to offer a much clearer picture of the game's direction and combat style. While I often enjoy casual games like Basket Random, I’m really looking forward to seeing how Wolverine delivers a deeper action experience. I can’t wait to see more details and player reactions as release day gets closer.

  • Wolverine Releases September 15 2026, First Look at Gameplay

This is exciting news for fans of Wolverine and action games alike. I’ve been waiting to see more gameplay footage, and the first look has definitely increased my interest in the project. If the developers can capture Wolverine’s ferocity, agility, and iconic combat style, this could become one of the standout releases of 2026. I also enjoy lighter games like Basket Random, but I’m always eager to dive into a story-driven action adventure when a major title like this is on the horizon. I can’t wait to learn more as the release date approaches.

Don't think of Godfrey as the literal text. Godfrey's real effect is unlimited hand size, which can pair amazingly with the deluge of value cards that are often so hard to make full use of (Vanessa wink wink).

  • New Cuphead Game in Development as Studio MDHR Reveals Mighty Cuphead Adventure

    Definitely the logic behind this!

The art is absolutely impeccable and I can't wait for it to launch because it looks like it really is going to have an old school feel and I'm hot for nostalgia.

  • HAEX Is a New Open-World Sci‑Fi Shooter From Ex-The Division Devs, Coming to PC

Out of everything announced at Summer Game Fest tonight, HAEX is the game that I'm the most intrigued about. Sci-fi, yes. Aliens, yes. Co-op gameplay, sign me up. This cool cube that I want to know more about, hello rubik's on steroids.

It looks beautiful, and I love me an open world so I'm very curious about how the studio is deciding to reinvent this from a gameplay aspect. The Division was a solid game, and there are devs from many companies at Dead Astronauts but that one interests me the most.

  • ArenaNet Reveals Guild Wars 3, Calling It a “Modern Evolution of the MMORPG”

I am genuinely interested in Guild Wars 3, especially when the studio says they want to respect player's time.

World of Warcraft doesn't do it anymore for me. The game is rotten and for a few expansions now I felt like my time just wasn't respected. I think there's a lot more to it than that on a personal level, but a huge aspect of it is definitely the time. It's too much of a chore and there are just way too many things now that are always flashing about for you to do. If I don't login for a few weeks, it's even worse and I just log my ass off.

I'm curious how Guild Wars 3 will approach that. I've played a bit of Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2 and the games weren't for me at the time, but I was also maddeningly addicted (I use this phrase correctly) to World of Warcraft so other games couldn't hold my attention like it could. Even Wildstar which has a pretty dope combat system, was thrown to the side for WoW.

The game looks absolutely beautiful though. I love the art style they've got going for Guild Wars 3 and the idea this is a thousand years in the past means I need to know absolutely nothing about the current games to get sucked into the narrative. Hell yeah.

  • Palworld 1.0 Release Date Set for July 10, New Cinematic Trailer Revealed

I'm really looking forward to the full release.

Palworld has been a great game to enjoy since it made its debut. I played it the day it launched with the out of date Xbox version on PC, got fed up with it and bought it on Steam and never looked back (though free on game pass was nice).

I've gone back for four different playthroughs, though admittedly never finished the game. It gets quite grindy towards the end and I end up just having fun building bases and playing around with different designs (especially now with the whole painting feature) so I'm curious what they're cooking for the final release; I do want to know more about that damn big tree we've been unable to get to but it's been seen this whole time.

Just about a month to go...

  • Gog Promotional E-Mail Containing Nazi Symbols Goes Out to Subscribers

I find it hilarious they noticed the issue of the runes before distribution and decided, hey, let's not send it to Germany. They weren't thinking very hard about that because otherwise they would have known what the internet was going to run with for headlines after the email was sent out.

Which, maybe that was the goal. Any press is good press people love to say, and as someone who has experienced negative press and seen lots of positive outcomes from it, I can't say I disagree with that statement.

But with all that said, I do also think it is unfortunate that historical symbols get appropriated by bad parties and then they get ruined "forever" (really just modern day). The swastika is a great example of this, Eurasian and African cultures made use of the symbol and is continued to be used to this day in Hinduism and Buddhism but in the west we immediately say, nope, Nazis. Which, yeah that checks out, the people that want to use the symbol here in North America are here doing bad things and trying to undo the progress of humanity.

Intent is the most important thing, which GOG is in the right here, their intent was not evil. However even with that, which makes the action forgivable, it wasn't a good idea the way they decided to go about it.

This is another reason why even with emojis you need to be careful. Not all devices, especially historically speaking, showcase emojis the same way. Gun is a great example of this where although it was initially removed by Apple and replaced by the Water Pistol, it took time for other vendors to follow which lead to some comical outcomes... not parents on Facebook telling people to come over for the water gun party for a kids birthday and it showing up as an actual gun for others. Y i k e s.

And thus, communication continues to be problematic across platforms. Even AI probably wouldn't consider that nuance, unless you actually provided it with instructions to consider it, which makes being an actual human being in the marketing and communications department at a company a truly valuable position when you have the experience.

    Human experience > all.

  • New Cuphead Game in Development as Studio MDHR Reveals Mighty Cuphead Adventure

I always thought the Run 'n Gun levels in the original game didn't get as much attention as they should've and then the DLC didn't add any.

This appears to be their attempt at making a game with those levels at the forefront and I'm all for it.

Godfrey the Betrayer - If this wasnt a legendary I probably wouldnt even bother rating it because its so mundane and yet so essential theres really nothing to discuss. Enabling you to essentially skip card burn is not the kind of rule break that actually does anything. All it really does is allowing you to draw cards with abandon, it doesnt allow you to draw the actual cards you want nor does it allow you to rearrange the sequence, the only advantage here is that your card cost less, assuming of course that you can consistently overdraw repeatedly in a game but I consider it somewhat unlikely since you still got to actually play cards to win games.

Only thing on top of my head is to make up a zoo deck filled with 1 cost cards and every draw card in existence. Might actually win you games because clears are so abominable in this meta you can expect even 1 drops to survive their turns.

Spire of Solitude - The payoff. But if what I mention above turn out to be the archetype of a tier 2 deck, you can expect this card to see niche play, or only included because why not. Its fine on its own, but maybe a tad too late on turn 5. Most decks would destroy you if you try the same handlock style skip 4 turns bit.

The Unseen Atlas - Its only a good card if drawful warlock is actually a thing, because otherwise 9/10 it overdraws you, or cost too much to be of use elsewhere.

Shadow Rounds - Lowkey one of the most powerful clears you can get from warlock. Effectively solves the problem warlock is currently having and thats actual board clears that dont also destroy your face. It tails off badly in the late game but in this meta you take what you can get in terms of AoE.

Brode was definitely one of the top hype men in video games. He was always a welcome sight during the 3x a year they let him out of the Blizzard cage lol.

Ben of the Booming voice for a reason. His presence as the BlizzCon announcer was definitely missed! I love that they gave him a Pandaren tribute npc in World of Warcraft Mists of Pandaria all those years back

  • Escape From Violet Hold Card Reveals - Day 3 [Finished]

Its an interesting way card to build decks with but in practice it'll probably be overwhelmingly Mug's that sees the most play.

If you remember quest shaman in the old uldum days, thats what theoretically a no spell shaman deck would look like but that deck at least could play spells if it wanted to, whereas this hard coded law would also mean you'll get your arse played around so hard you could coil it around yoru waist.

Of course, team5 can confound my predictions by printing a ton of battlecry minions that do AoE, draw cards and do face damage. And then what you get is something very similar to companion hunter right now, is that really what we want? A hardtry attempt to make an archetype work?

Will this card see play? Honestly, it all depends how hard team5 really wants to push this. But think about the last year of development doesnt exactly give me hope.

Yea Dean was good but we all know Brode was born to hype up expansions. Still can't believe they can't find one decent actor starving for work especially where they are located on the cheap.

Somewhere out there is the Liberty Bibberty of hearthstone.

Zurumat's Prison - Its probably gonna be busted not because of what it is, but because you can easily cheat all sorts of things with naught but another weapon in hand, plus the card gives you a taunt minion too, which is crucial otherwise the card may not see much play.

Aya, Lotus Kingpin - Good legendary for rogue, and is a build around card. Ive not doubt no matter how far this is from tier 1-2, theres gonna be huge amounts of players playing this up in legend with a mandatory please nerf post within two weeks of release.

Is Aya any good though? Well, its certainly not shit. And at the very least it allows rogue to basically play to their strengths. It does have a one-card-deck vibe to it, but I wouldnt call this toxic in any case. Even at its best, its not doing more than the current herald rogue

  • Escape from Violet Hold Card Reveals - Day 1 [Finished]

I can agree with this. A lot of the devs in a lot of games are a bit too awkward about presenting, and hey, there's a damn good chance I would be too since being on camera isn't my thing.

But I do understand that its a strong message to put out there, having the team communicating with the audience. This is really what community managers are meant to be doing though... The community is supposed to use them as a liaison to the development team and there's supposed to be that central spot of communication to really exchange the pool of ideas between the two.

I love unfiltered devs, but we've also seen from at least the Hearthstone side of things in more recent time, that they are anything but unfiltered.

Dean Ayala who left to go to Riot was awesome. He gave us so many insights that we had never seen before. He was an amazing community person and developer. His wife, Molly, was on the Hearthstone and later Overwatch community teams before she left to go to Second Dinner and every time I had the opportunity to speak with her about things her communication skills were so on point and she was a wonderful person to talk to. Blizzard lost one of their greats when she left, but Second Dinner was also a great opportunity.

Those two are a game dev power couple I swear. If they were to make something on their own, they'd really nail the community aspect hard which is the most important thing in indie game development. You build a community, you win the game. I just lost the game.

Weird that he doesn't have the Demon tag, since Zuramat is a voidwalker in WoW. I dunno if they're starting to peel back on voidwalkers being classified as Demons as of Midnight to be more lore-accurate, but it's creating an inconsistency now.

  • Escape from Violet Hold Card Reveals - Day 1 [Finished]

I do wish they'd just hire somebody to present the cards when they make these videos because when the devs do it they are incredibly awkward, takes a bit of the excitement out of the presentation.

  • Everything You Need to Know About Escape From Violet Hold, Hearthstone’s Next Expansion

As for the prep mechanic, the only good thing about it is that it saves you 1 mana each time you bank, so you can bank on multiple turns to rapidly reduce a card's cost.

Well guess what chicken butt, fella! You can only Prepare once. After that, the cost is locked in.

They'll def need to bring some anti aggro tools into this one if we want to see prep cards get used.

  • Everything You Need to Know About Escape From Violet Hold, Hearthstone’s Next Expansion

Got to be one of the least hyped expansion Ive experienced so far. The aesthetics isnt really exciting, but more importantly the revealed cards look, well, DOA, at least for the time being anyway.

Hogger giving you two legendaries would only be interesting if there were a case where two would break the game which at the time being there isnt any, and its not like its has never been possible to get more than one copy per game anyway. Plus, theres now the problem of having too many legendary cards gimping your draw.

Blood Doctor Thal'lena wouldve been great but team5 yet again ruins it all by making it a blood rune card so you cant even play this in conventional unholy decks which you would think wouldve fit in like a glove

Irida Sinseeker is basically a joke, and not in a good way. You will never not build around a no-minion card like eternal hold to begin with, and you will never put this card in that deck in the hopes of drawing her before the hold. Not to mention, drawing cards have never been difficult for dhunter, its not dying from fatigue thats the issue here.

As for the prep mechanic, the only good thing about it is that it saves you 1 mana each time you bank, so you can bank on multiple turns to rapidly reduce a card's cost. The problem is obviously, youre gonna die to aggro, so the cards have to be really on the level to be worth it. And with the exception of auctioneer, none of them really look the part.

So what am I expecting from this expansion? Well, massive nerfs to certain archetypes like companion hunter and no-hand hunter. And better cards being revealed, otherwise, dont expect the new cards to see much play
