This card is actually interesting, more so in the mirror, because what it does can sometimes backfire spectacularly.
But whether it'll see play depends heavily on the next meta being less of what is currently and more board focused. Because this is a heavy investment that doesn't save them from deathrattles, and will likely end the turn right there without any swing.
The spell school is nature, but I doubt priest can ever take advantage of that fact.
Oh boy, pairing Twinbow Terrorcoil with Raj Naz'jan would be scary. I'd imagine the damage from both spells would damage the opponent, so possibly an OTK hunter archetype coming

This legendary minion will be a menace during it's entire time in standard. Every expansion a good hunter spell gets printed, this guy will become even more powerful. I'd imagine quite a few OTK hunter decks forming due to this terror. Quest hunter is an obvious archetype where this minion can slot in, but maybe a naga/spell focused OTK hunter could rise from the sea depths
The power of this card depends solely on whether there's enough support for pirates that you'd go to all lengths to play this card at all. While there is combo potential (with Mr. Smite) not to mention that the pirates are stealthed, its still too slow and doesn't protect rogue from dying. Meaning, that if the payoff doesn't kill the opponent consistently after this is played, then what's the point? Might as well just play contact garrote rogue instead.
In fact that's the real kicker. So far we havent seen much support for pirates in rogue, and if the trend continues, I can't see why anyone would play anything else other than what is currently established (quest, garotte, thief rogue etc.). But there's still one legendary, so hope still stands.
Crazy draw engine for Druid and a big spell that would synergize with Hedra the Heretic. Worst case the minion with taunt summoned is a 3/3 but this card will likely be in a Guff deck whose draw is decent, so most times the minion will be bigger.
Well this will be an auto-include in every druid deck going forward. Extremely flexible and the only time it isn't good is when you play it one turn 1 and don't have the mana to draw the card you want.
So kinda like a King Phaoris except you want to play the big spells instead of keeping them in hand. Might find a home in a Guff deck, but a lot of good big spells like Cenarion Ward and Survival of the Fittest are leaving standard.
Ofc we have to wait for the core set and the rest of the cards to make a proper evaluation of this card
Looks like Blizzard is pushing a pirate tempo Rogue deck this expansion. I believe that the power of this card depends on the curve of said deck and how good the dredge cards that Rogue has access to are.
If you were to look at tempo Rogue during Rise of Shadows, it ran like 10-12 two drops, and the only cards above 4 mana would be used to win the game on the spot (e.g. Myra's Unstable Element, Heistbaron Togwaggle, sometimes Chef Nomi). If you instead looked at Galakrond Rogue (which could charitably be called a tempo Rogue deck), it had a much higher average card cost, so it could afford running more expensive cards that were less impactful.
From the cards we've seen so far, it looks like Blizzard expects a slower meta, so this could see play in a slower tempo Rogue list.
I'm optimistic about this minion purely coz the Sunken Defector has charge, and we all know how that mechanic is insane. Other than that, it's probably too slow and won't see play unless you really want to play a dredge DH deck
A pair of 3/3s isn't worth five mana, so you'll need to consistently trigger some kind of "bonus effect" (like Ship's Cannon) for simply playing the Pirates in order for this to see much play. Even then, it's likely too slow for the kind of deck Pirate Rogue is liable to be.
We'd need to see a gameplay video coz I'm not 100% sure if it's just the weapons that get +2 attack, or if the rush minions get it too. Regardless, this is a solid Colossal minion that will see play
That would be poggers indeed. I can never remember how to display golden cards, but this is definitely one of the best in the game's history. If it was in the Core set so many more people would see it to appreciate it. It might also give combo players a reason to not just label pirates as loathsome aggro!
Well it's definitely got the Pirate and stealth flavor but I honestly don't see what kind of rogue deck would want this card. It's 5 mana which is a high price for rogue, even if the Sunken Vessel is a Cast When Drawn spell.
It's playable and may see some experimentation, definitely not OP for an epic
All the hype aside...is this even that good in Priest? I mean think about it, all the MIracle stuff is rotating so there's no crazy turn 4 30/30 Malygos shenanigans possible.
It also only refreshes mana so you have to wait until you get a good payoff and then you need to not only keep a bunch of spells in hand to juice the effect, but ALSO still have more stuff to play after the refresh. Since most of the discovery spells are rotating that's not going to be as easy as it might be now.
Not saying it's not good, but I don't think it'll break the game unless we get some insane synergy down the line.
Now Wild....Wild is a different story but I don't have the time to think of every degenerate combo this could enable.

Too expensive and too weak. For this cost it would need to deal at least 4-damage to be close to old Flamestrike. The fact that it takes time to set up is also a negative. Not even good in Arena, I don'T really see the purpose of this.
Sounds rather slow. Let's say you prep this on 3, it's still just average in terms of stats, then you dredge (I'm assuming Rogue gets a good one) and maybe get the payoff on immediately by drawing a card (tradeables are probably key here).
Unless there's some payoff for summoning many pirates (Cannon Barrage in Core? Pog) I don't see this being good.

As if Plague of Death wasn't annoying enough.
Whirlpool is a New Priest Card Revealed by DawN for Voyage to the Sunken City
I know this isn't how it works but I like to imagine it destroys copies of minions in your collection
Also, 9 mana Priest board clear. It felt strange not having one for so long.

New Druid Spell - Azsharan Gardens
So basically Embiggen with no minion cost increase. And if you play Aquatic Form you can play both Azsharan Gardens and Sunken Gardens on turn 2. Pretty busted for an aggro/token druid
New Druid Spell - Flipper Friends
Such a cute and powerful card, considering we have multiple cards in standard like Jerry Rig Carpenter, Pathmaker and Raid Negotiator. We also have Pride Seeker which reduces the cost of this spell to 3.
Will definitely see play

inb4 Cannon Combo Rogue is tier 1 and ruins the game for a month :^)

It doesn't compare favourably to Greater Emerald Spellstone.
