I think the discussion between card draw and mana cheat is the same one between the egg or the chicken, which means that there's no answer that will accommodate everyone.
On the other hand, if Team 5 will cut down the mana cheat, I feel like drawing through your deck will be less problematic - what are you gonna do? Die to fatigue?
I see that @grumpy000 and @Avalon are 26 snowballs away from reaching the three 313 tie. I have like 33 unspent snowballs so... is anybody else with me to reaching this goal?? :)
@CuddlyCactus not even your are not adding anything meaningful to the discussion, but you are already proven wrong by the amount of answers ;)
@coriolis thanks, I know I'm not under pressure and climbing is no problem with the Orc team. I'd like to equip my own Galvangar because heroic Kazakus will be my next project and Orcs are supposed be good there, too.
@Avalon + dapperdog: yes Orcs might be the the best way. In normal it worked great. I'll try Cornelius/Smite/Rokara at least once. I think that even if Cornelius dies, Smite should be big enough then.
Maybe if I post my Orc team you can say if it is to weak or if I'm making mistakes.
Garrosh @Tusks of Mannoroth lvl3 all skills lvl3 - but I have 250 coins to spend
Thrall @Ring of Strength lvl4 all skills lvl 3 - 60 coins
But... the recruit mechanic is already in Standard, even if the keyword itself isn't. Why would it returning as a keyword be a problem for you? The only real issue I see with it is that it is a form of consistent card draw, and we should be cutting back on that, not adding more.
They can - and should - let us craft portraits with excess coins, but that alone doesn't really solve anything. Sooner or later we'd get all the portraits of a given character (if we don't have them already, especially with rares) and then we're back to square one. If they want to avoid letting us convert coins (even at crummy rates), they'll have to introduce a whole new way of spending them that won't just get maxed out itself. Maybe an entrance fee to something fancy, like Arena does?
Basically, its a better Magma Rager. But if you can heal it, or give it health, then its just a good aggro 3 drop. The fact is if it attacks even once, it'll already have done its job most of the time.
Dont let this seemingly useless card fool you, it's going to take over the meta at some point.
Rogue spell, I'll leave it to you guys in figuring out what this monster of a card can do if it were ever printed in standard.
Rogue is definitely the only class that could use such a card, so thumbs up for that. However, the game consists on making a card based on the move the previous player mentions, just in case you didn't know.
Anyway, here's my take on Menacing Moonraze Maelstrom. I hope it never gets printed, though 😂
So, I took a look to the streamers I checked in the past when I had to complete specific Heroic Bounties for equipments - unfortunately, almost all of them go all in on Orcs, so that might be a problem for you.
As for the strategy, it appears that knocking down Galvangar first seems the best strategy, as it stacks Bleed on your characters and blocks healing, which is a long way for saying that he's going to singlehandedly kill you if left unchecked.
Xyrella into Samuro seems a solid strategy, but I wonder if the Smite-Cornelius combo can work without healing...
@Alleria & @allthehype: Thanks for the suggestions! Unfortunately I don't have some of the mercs you suggested (I've maxed out Bru'kan and Guff Runetotem, but I've yet to accumulate enough coins for Malfurion Stormrage lol), and I haven't been using Gruul at all so I'll need to level him up first. I nearly beat Rend Blackhand yesterday with a combination of Xyrella, Varden Dawngrasp, Blademaster Samuro, and some other orcs. What I did was keep buffing up Samuro's attack so he'll always be targeted by Rend's 200 damage ability, then using Whirling Blade on the same turn so he's immune when that 200 damage strikes. Unfortunately I mistimed a freeze by Varden so my Mercs died to a hailstorm of fire from those damn dragons.
But thanks for linking to that guide! I'll get more tips from there.
Beat Rend blackhand easily with diablo. Just a level 3 fire stomp and you're golden.
If you get the passive that deals fire damage for every enemy dead from a fire attack, then its just a OTK on turn 2.
If they remove the dragons, which Im doubtful that they will, then noz day would be similarly kaput. I certainly wouldn't put it past them to do something like this, its a fairly small xp boost at the end of the day after all.
I remember reading somewhere that team5 will not be making big changes to the core set for the next hearthstone year. For that very reason, I dont think the aspects would be going anywhere anytime soon.

In general, I would take what Guardian says with a grain of salt -- don't get me wrong, he's one of the best content creators for Mercenaries, but he has a very particular playstyle and approach, and he often makes assumptions based on these that won't work for a lot of other Mercenaries players.
The biggest hurdle I encountered for all heroic Alterac Valley bounties is evaluating the threat level for the new units in the encounters leading to the final fight. I would routinely lose 2 or 3 party members in the climb, so I was always at least one mercenary down at the end, and that just made some fights impossible to finish. It took me a few runs to properly navigate the bounty maps and reduce the risks to my team.
For Galvangar in particular, just do the bounty on normal a few times to see how the fight works. You can then evaluate which of your own mercenaries would be best suited for the final fight. In the case of Galvangar, you want mercenaries that physically attack and can gain health without healing; protectors (red) are ideal, with casters (blue) as a second choice. You want to avoid fighters (green) at all costs, as they'll just get slaughtered by Galvangar's bodyguards.
Once you have your lineup of 3-4 mercenaries for the boss fight, pick complementary members for the climb; that way, even if you lose one reaching the boss, it doesn't cripple you completely. For Galvangar, you would prioritize fighters to round out your party.
Hope that helps! And remember: there's no time limit for unlocking equipment. If nothing you do seems to work, just go back to other bounties to rank up your team, and try again in a few days.
Blood Magic
People must play this brawl, because they bring it back so often.
But like. Why.
Tempo Silence Priest - Wild Hearthstone Full Deck & Guide on the Wildest of Wednesdays
I’d put in a Northshire Cleric as a turn 1 play and card draw. Good synergy with healing and Gift of the Naaru.

I'll give it a try.
Unfortunately I miss Najak Hexxen. I would try The Nameless One as an additional silence card. Maybe you have a better idea to replace Najak?

Sorry, seems like I misread the rules.
