Utility rates are structured differently everywhere, but around here charging an ipad daily will run you about $2 a year.
We have one of those power meters where you plug the meter into the wall, and then plug your appliance into the meter, and it reports the draw. My spouse and I tested everything we could reach, and the only item where a behavior change made sense was the coffeepot. Now, after it's done brewing, we turn it off instead of letting the hotplate keep the coffee warm.
If you have any environmental concerns about the impacts of playing video games, a much more impactful trade is to swap in one meatless meal each week. And make sure the screen setting is as dim as reasonable.
Tablets and phones draw very little power overall. (Not gonna get into any analysis of crypto mining here, lol). Have fun. Chase XP. Your electric bill will be fine.
You say Balinda Stonehearth is a Fighter, and she is on a Green card, however all her abilities are Caster and she herself says "Do you take me for an ordinary mage?" Why is she not on a Blue card?
Anyone using Kazakusan with any success competitively? I wonder how it fares against The Juggernaut. Since a control Druid shell seems to be enough against QL hunte
I played with no Legend Budget decks and had a better winrate than any current vicious syndicate tier2 decks. And I sucked last season!
edit: eg last deck. my opponents play cards nobody plays. I can't play around them. Like the Priest caravan. Opponent was dead, but he/she/it can expandable perforfancers out it 3 times, which was exactly one more than enough. Or some Druid whom I killed both 2/4 summon stuff agin which costs <2. He/she/it had a macigal 3rd one....
This was not supposed to be a salt thread, but I'm getting more and more salty.l The only reason to explain this, that HS Mathematics a right and HS is dying and I'm just facing pros. Noobs are gone.
I hate to tell you this, but it sounds like you are the kind of player who can only win when you know what you're up against. If the opponent runs weird cards or a completely off-meta deck, you don't know what to do. You're not alone -- there are plenty of players like you. But what this means is that you were 100% correct when you said you are not a good player.
You need to improve on the fundamentals. I recommend watching some people play Arena or watching an educational Arena basics video. The knowledge of tempo vs. value, making good trades, when to use your health as a resource -- all of this transfers to Standard, especially when you are facing decks you've never seen before.
Funfact: I play better if the opponent doesn't know the meta. Because I never take possible enemy actions into considerations. That's what keeping me from getting better btw.
But tell me this: why do I get low level players in wild with 8-9 stars bonus, but highlevel players in standard with 2 stars bonus if my mmr is so high? edit: and in wild I beat people with legendary card back (so I can't be thaaaaaaat bad)
edit2: I'm only having problems in standard and I only have problems since Alterac Valley. My (low) skill has not changed, my (low tier) decks have not changed.
You do not seem to understand how star bonuses work. Your star bonus is based on your performance in the previous month, and it decreases each time you hit rank 5 or 10 of a given tier of the ladder. You have no way of knowing what kind of star bonus your opponent is getting. The stars you get have nothing to do with them. You will ALWAYS get more stars in bronze than at higher tiers, and you will ALWAYS start with more stars in the format where you climbed higher in the previous month.
But if you are proud of the fact that you "never take possible enemy actions into consideration," no one can help you improve.
The whole "red line" premise is pretty sketchy if you ask me. From that perspective, every card with text on it is "breaking the rules" in some way by doing something other cards can't. There were never any solid (or semisolid) boundaries surrounding what a card can and cannot do.
WoTC even used to teach its card games by saying, "Here are the basic rules, but the vast majority of cards you see will offer exceptions to these rules." it's called "exception-based game design," and it's pretty normal, even outside of card games (D&D, for example).
So truthfully, nothing is off the table as long as the coders are willing and able to code it.
Libram Paladin is tempo. Quest Shaman is aggro/burn. idk what to tell you. Neither is a control deck.
Quest Shaman is not aggro. If you think it is, I would like to know SPECIFICALLY where you are learning your terminology.
If it were aggro, it would send a lot more damage toward face in the early game. It does not do that. It uses some damage to control the board, and it freezes what it cannot efficiently kill until it can achieve inevitability (often in the form of burst damage). These are hallmarks of a control deck. It's quite literally the definition of control.
An aggro deck would never use a card like Perpetual Flame.
not to be an ass, but why don't you just translate 5€ of whatever your energy company comp is asking into any Merc you want at this point? haha
Of course I could do that, but I do not really care for those Mercenaries at all. I will collect and fully max them out eventually along the way, but all I want is that sweet XP which directly translates into extra gold to buy in game stuff with.
It might still be more efficient to spend real money to purchase that said stuff, but I have not made the proper calculation to make the comparison.
To reach the end of the Rewards Track once again (I did it for the first RT) also feels like yet another achievement to me by the way.
Yes, my thought process is kind of peculiar, I know. Strange people (like myself) do strange things, I guess 😅
"Wels is the current Shaman Class Master, aiming to become a challenger this Sunday and have a shot at the Rogue's throne against Zoltan! His name pops up in every class tournament every week and he is also present in most finals! Ambitious and consistent he expresses his views on Hearthstone and the Class Master tournament. We chose to use about the same questionnaire that we used with Zoltan in order to compare the views of players of different dynamics. We will do the same with our last interviewee! Enjoy!"
1. So, tell us a bit about yourself, who are you in real life and how was Wels created
Hi my name is Lubos, I am 31 yers old and I am from Czech Republic. In real life, I am working as a teacher on high school.
2. Why Wels, what is so special about that name? Any story behind it?
My nick was created long time ago. I think it is like 16 years ago. First game where I used that nick was Warcraft III. The meaning of that nick is quite simple. It is 4 first letters of names. That names are people who were close to me.
3. What are your thoughts on Hearthstone as a game? What do you think is the best thing about it and what is the worst, if any? What would you add or change from the game?
I like HS very much. One of the reasons is the connection to Warcraft lore that I love. The best thing about the game for me is playing for board. The worst at the moment is too much OTK possibilities. I hope there will be more space for tempo decks.
4. What do you think about the Hearthstone Class Master tournament? Anything you would add or change maybe?
The Hearthstone Class Master tournament is great opportunity to compete with other players without difficult preparation. I am mainly standard player so I would like to play these tournaments with standard format also.
5. This Sunday you're to play in the Rogue finals. If you win and become a challenger, you will confront Zoltan, the strongest player of the tournament, for the throne of the rogue Class Master, any thoughts on that?
I've played with Zoltan a few times around a year ago and I have to say that he is a very strong opponent.
6. What do you consider yourself to be as a Hearthstone player? A novice, a casual or a veteran? The statistics in the Class Master tournament are placing you close to the top.
I am playing HS from TGT but I consider myself more like casual player.
7. What is the class that you believe you are the best at playing?
That should be Rogue or Warlock.
8. Class Master tournament endorses some very unique features like "The journey of self worth". If you are a Class Master sitting on your throne, you have two options: A) you sit and wait for the challenger to challenge your throne or B) you start a "journey of self worth" which means that you leave your throne, re-enter the tournament and you re-claim it! ...but if you lose during your journey, you also lose your throne too. What do you think about that feature?
I think that is great thing. Get 2 options and make own decision based on self-confidence.
9. Any last words to your brothers and sisters in the Class Master tournament? Any last words to the Hearthstone enthusiasts reading your interview in the forums?
GL to all participants. FOR THE HORDE!
"...so, thank you very much Wels, for your time and good will in giving us this interview! We wish you the best of luck in the Rogue finals this Sunday and we're looking forward to speak to you again! We would love to know who the names of behind your Hearthstone tag name and along with the story and relationship between you!
The tournament is growing strong as more players from other countries join in, last one being from Sweden! Good luck to all participants, see you Sunday in the Rogue's Finals, the Druid's throne claim and in the Demon Hunter Legions!!"
I swear these notifications like to fail me especially during the busy weeks. And so my late-ish thank you for the kind words! Perhaps I ought to ask for more constructive criticism at this point, can't have everything be as stellar. ;)
I also wouldn't dream to compete with Swizard and FrostyFeet when it comes to the Wild playground, I feel safer on the Standard grounds!
I´m at 185 lvl with 6k gold. My XP achievement is at 70% done, wonder when they will enable DH and Rogue one. With mercenaries, I can´t pass the fourth special Chi-Ji task, so I don´t think I´ll ever complete it all. I know the event is not meant to be for everyone, but at least I hoped it would be challenging AND fun. But no, this is Hearthstone, no quests or challenges are fun, but frustrating (including XP achievements). So I think I´ll slowly abandon the mode, although the completionist in me screams in frustration XD
Even though I'm playing it a lot recently, Mercenaries still feels like a really predatory mode. The economy is terrible, and it basically wants you to sacrifice ALL of your time if you want to max out your mercs. I just so happened to have lots of time recently so I was able to, but man, I can see why a lot of people gave up on this mode. I mean, this was one of the things that made me hesitant to be invested in the mode in the first place.
To be honest, it only seems more predatory than usual because of the restrictions from the chi-ji event. Because if Im completely honest, I wouldn't even bother with 90% of all the mercs I utilized to complete these event if it didn't force me to. Had to grind up Yulon and Sinestra somewhat to even stand a chance, and even then I still felt I won by luck rather than skill.
Otherwise, I finished nearly all the bounties using nature bros. And the only expensive option here is Malfurion with lvl 4 liferoot treasure.
If players gave up on it, its only because mercs is at present uninteresting, unrewarding, and the pve can get tiresome at times. Not to mention that its incredibly expensive if youre wanting to pay, and grindy as hell if youre not. Im still half way through getting Valeera right now. Wonder how long it'll take me to get Longxin.
I completed the Chi-Ji limited time event and only have 7 of the latest introduced mercenaries left to be fully maxed out.
I bought the Onyxia's Lair mini-set with gold and played a bunch of Kazakusan Druid in ranked Standard, but I cannot say I enjoyed this latest meta at all. At diamond level, I only encounter mirror matches or opponents with tech cards like Irondeep Trogg and Cult Neophyte.
As for the new XP achievements, since they are mostly really grindy this time around, I have yet to start grinding those out. The Demon Hunter and Rogue ones are not even in the game yet (sigh). I do wonder what the new '???' is all about though. What kind of riddled madness did Celestalon come up with this time?
Dude how often do you play? Level 357 is nuts lol.
I'm currently at Level 125, with 7000 gold. I think I have a month left to reach that level 200 goal I've been aiming for. I can do this!
I don't think I'll be able to complete the Chi-Ji event for Mercenaries. Since I started late with maxing out my mercs, I'm only at the 2nd half of the Blackrock Mountain levels, and it's incredibly difficult to beat those damn bosses. It took me a whole day before I could beat High Lord Omokk with the maxed out mercs I have.
1. I usually don't play Draconic Studies during the process of playing many spells with Nazmani Bloodweaver until I've drawn my dragons from the deck but in case I don't have my minions I play Draconic Studies for pressure or more value. Also because the pool of dragons in standard are quite good and getting any dragon from the spell I like.
2. Personally I feel that the Auctioneer animation takes longer to give me the card, that's why I prefer Malygos and because my computer sometimes freezes when I play. On Power Word: Fortitude sometimes clogs me up and it's the first card I play on Nazmani Bloodweaver before Gift of Luminance but on the plus side I play Psyche Split on the Nazmani and it's another danger to the opponent.
3.To have more chances of double discount and generate pressure for the rival. Psyche Split is worth using, I recommend it.
To finish thank you very much that you liked it, people should take advantage of Kazakusan in miracle priest, I see it stronger. In druid I don't see it very powerful because it depends more on ramping to play it, although it has Solar Eclipse to take advantage of it.
You did a lot better than I did with a similar approach. I did blunder into the solution to one of them though:
Three spirits stand next to Zed. This one symbolizes his memory.
Show Spoiler
Dunno where they get that "three spirits" from. Just goggled for cards related to Zed and LoR, and one could be plausibly linked to memory (or the type of events that can evoke memories).
I thought I'd try and do Runeterra. After blind clicking every collectable card in Freljord, and every Champion card, and some attempts to legitimately solve clues, I'm left with:
Three spirits stand next to Zed. This one symbolizes his memory.
The only thing standing in the way of getting that icon you want is Viktor... and about 8 others who want to kill you.
When I said you should try to stay warm, I didn't mean that you should engulf your entire freaking body in flames.

Okay, game's on! I didn't realized the event was on before last Friday, so I'm in the catch-up process. Thanks to everyone that asked and answered questions and hints; it makes our collective progress a little simpler and much more interactive! I was longing for a proper snow fight!!

I know it is crazy, but I have actually played less now than during the previous Rewards Track, although still more than is considered healthy.
Plenty of my XP comes from farming Mercenaries (no bots involved). I am just converting time, electricity and a few occasional clicks into XP 😂
Currently at level 377, almost at the very end, lol.
