it's like a Stand Alone just that the opponen also has to go wide for it to make it good and then it can't even be played at burst speed during combat? No thanks that would be worth 0 stars if there was
Now THIS is a great spell if there is any: taking out an attacker/blocker for 1 turn is not too bad but not worth a card. When it comes attached to a +1/+1 grant for 2 mana it is actually very strong because it will make the combat phase of the turn you play this card really awkward for the opponent.
It is better on offence than it is on defence since it doesn't cover open attacks but it's a really good card for aggro/midrange decks for sure
Level 1 Pantheon looks like a decent aggro card: He has a free attack as a 4/2 overwhelm with fated? Kinda reminds me of Renekton.
The level up condition however won't ever be fullfilled before turn 6 and most likely not before turn 7 so his lvl 2 being essentially The Arsenal in the fated version is decent but still doesn't sell the champion to me
We haven't received any news about Diablo going away from Duels, but my personal bet is that he'll stay for at least another month. In the end, we are still missing his 6th Signature Treasure, and they must be waiting for a particular occasion to reveal it.
My best bet is that Diablo will leave with the Alterac Valley's big Duels update, which is very likely to come in February-ish.
Most fun I've had in duels since release. The fact that you get to test out new cards certainly has a part to play but the meta feels very fresh and diverse. I feel like the new passives are on point. No more overpowered stuff that needs no synergy whatsoever.
The fact that I play casual instead of heroic (I value my gold more than stormwind packs on a discount, this close to the expansion release) might be the reason for the diversity, idk. Nontheless, a ton of fun!
A special shout out to freeze mage! I had a mad control deck with frostspells targeting also adjacent minions and armor for every frozen character. It let to an interesting dynamic against DHs and Druids, where freezing face was the most important.
That's what I heard in Rarran's YT video interview with a Mercs dev - they plan plan to add new Mercs roughly every month or so...
And as you said, there are other common concerns at the moment. Personally for me, it's another "feel bad" thing.
I know that Mercenaries might (and probably will) get better in some months... but will I still be interested to keep playing it, even casually? I'm not sure, and right now I'm pretty disappointed.
I'm not particularly that much into Mercs PvE myself to offer detailed advice, but I know there are some content creators who specialize in such guides. If you for example head here and do a Ctrl-F search for 'Drakkisath', could be some helpful tips. Same could be said for a general name search on the Mercenaries Discord to see relevant messages.
Very fine points. I'm somewhat concerned with their speed of adding in new Mercs, instead of resolving all the other concerns first. A lot might yet change in players' favor once those solutions to excess coins and other improvements finally arrive.
There are actually special apps that are being used by many to make it more of a small lottery, going through all the entries on auto. The odds still aren't any good, of course, when competing for a bundle against thousands of other hopefuls.
That's why the ones such as custom card contests are technically better for anyone able to meet the requirements, as the competition is going to be so much smaller than with any "like and retweet" entries that some people undoubtedly try to use extra burner accounts for.
I’m rather excited for some more Beast Druid support. It’s one of those archetypes as you said that has always-kind-of-barely-been-there-but-not-really, and now there are some slightly more interesting tools for them to play around with. Plus, I have a golden Shan’do I’ve been waiting to use in something other than my Knuckles Hunter deck.
I've experimented with Kindling Flame + Hero Power Mage yesterday, while the Fire spells are very powerful I kept losing with 3-4 wins. I wasn't consistently drawing my fire spells (especially later on) and that caused problems. Also when you go hard on Fire spells you left with very few defensive options. Then again unless you have good healing early run Bomb Warriors and In your Face Demon Hunters always giving me trouble.
I tried It with Mantle of Ignition and Flame Waves as my second treasure. Maybe instead of Hero Power package I need to include more defensive tools.
Pantheon: New Targon Champion Reveal - 5 New Runeterra Cards Revealed for Magic Misadventures
THIS. IS. TARGON!
Ok, 300 reference out of the way. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to loop that theme till the Sun turns red.
Edit: I know it was revealed yesterday, but the icon for the new keyword is kinda silly.
New Targon Card - Freed Colossus
Now this is a very vanilla and mediocre card.
The fact that it doesn't even have any keywords makes it not worth it in my book
New Targon Spell - Against the Odds
Now this is a good example of an unplayable card:

Stormwind Duels Meta Update #7 - Best 12-Win Hearthstone Duels Decks for All Classes in December Week 1
Played a hilarious questline druid run earlier with Inspiring Presence and Endurance Training. Bag of Coins, Mark of the Spikeshell, Solar Eclipse and Zola the Gorgon helped me play 4 Guff the Tough in a single turn.

And yes, The Demon Seed Primal Power Diablo is nutty.

Arctic Armor + Mantle of Ignition? Nutty!
Stormwind Duels Meta Update #7 - Best 12-Win Hearthstone Duels Decks for All Classes in December Week 1
Mantle of Ignition definitely has some potential: casting a spell two additional times is just too good to be ignored.
If your Hero Power is Frost Shards, I'd say you could try Spice Bread Baker. Armor Vendor: is quite useful too!

The technology is there!
I'll leave the review unchanged, but it's good to know you don't have to have a great memory (or deck tracker) to avoid issues.
