A tutor card for Jayce the 6/5 quick attack is decent stat line but the best part is the burn damage that you can increase by casting 6+cost spells it give the decks another much needed win con.
This is one the better cards from the champion set. There are some 6 mana spell that you don't want to main deck but who can be pretty powerful in certain situation like Hextech Transmogulator or Back to Back. Now you can access them with this follower.
Amazing that they easily fixed the problem with Warden's Insight but took so long to do the same for Hidden Oasis. And now poor Tyrantus will have to wait even longer. At least its fixed now.
This look terrible if I am being honest, it's possible to get some great cards but you can also low roll some unplayable cards like Molten Breath or The Skies Descend.
I liked it personally. It was very much a family matter rather than a big advancement of the plot, and that's a decent way to make use of the family they introduced. The first mission in particular did much more for Cariel's character than I expected.
There's no way K'T will res Tamsin. Quite aside from him being less than welcome in Stormwind by this point, he has no love for demons, the Burning Legion, and the forsaken, so why would he want to res a forsaken warlock? If she does get res'd in some capacity, I expect the Horde mercs to be involved.
As for Xyrella, she got the shit beaten into her by Tamsin shortly before Cornelius arrived, so she's probably just tending her wounds wherever she fled to, if she's not unconscious. I assume the events of her questline (purifying the void shard) happen in the aftermath of it all. Taking the questlines as guide to what everyone is doing around this time, I guess we'll find out next time that Scabbs has taken advantage of the commotion to do a bit of sleuthing.
A very strange card. It's an interesting way to do a flexibility card like this, I'll say that much. I'm afraid I can't say I like it that much though because it's just too weird.
It's also got mistakes where it says "Tradable" and "looses".
Swizard
Well that's something. It's a Deathwing, Mad Aspect effect for Hunter which is alright I suppose. For some reason, the card just bothers me and I can't exactly put my finger on why. I guess it's because Hunter can't really use the effect as well as Warrior can with Deathwing (although it has gotten a bit better recently).
Wailor
Chameleosaurus is pretty nifty. I like it.
Gladiator Chewer however I have a problem with. Not in terms of concept, but rather that it overlooks a very important detail. Since the minion it attacks will have negative Health when you trigger the Overkill, the minion will try to gain negative Health and further weaken itself.
Linkblade91
Neoguli basically already put it best.
BloodMefist
Simple, sweet, and interesting. Good job all around.
BasilAnguis
Unfortunately not eligible since the card has to be a minion.
I am F2P in mercs except for the $5 Welcome Bundle and have opened 83 packs so far. I have all the current mercs except one legendary (Edwin). I crafted all the ones I haven't opened (I think I have opened 7-10?) in packs. I am hoarding packs (I have 20 waiting) until the next major content release (that is, when they release new mercs). In the case of the mercs that I have crafted, I am certainly a little ways off maxing them, but you really can get close once you finish their task quest chain.
I have been a big task grinder (617 done so far), and I do 3 wins a day in PVP against the AI to power level my few remaining low-level mercs so I have been able to accumulate lots of coins for crafting mercs that I'm missing.
For someone like me, it doesn't seem like there's ever going to be a need to buy packs in this mode, especially given that the benefits really diminish over time.
Looking at it some more...yeah. I guess it is inferior to Savage Striker. Good catch.
You know @Neoguli , you don't have to have won to provide feedback :P We'll appreciate your opinion regardless. I don't bother to look if someone's won before when I read their feedback; I'll take it into consideration anyway, even if I was the #1 winner for a time.
To coincide with these new bundles focused on Edwin, I also got the following offers in the Mercenaries shop (not the main shop) to replace the previous ones. I indicated the rarity in brackets, as I assume the specific mercenary that will be offered will vary based on your collection:
Thrall [legendary] Starter Set (25 CAD): Mercenary card and 200 coins for Thrall.
Tirion [epic] coins (6.25 CAD): 300 Tirion coins.
Legendary Mercenary Bundle (19 CAD): Random legendary mercenary you don't already own, and 15 packs.
Legendary Coin Purse (9.49 CAD): 250 coins for 3 random legendary mercenaries.
That third bundle is quite attractive, as 15 packs are normally 25 CAD. So you get a 6 CAD discount, on top of a guaranteed legendary you don't have.
I fancy the idea of both Hack the System and Warrior Galakrond, so I figured both archetypes could possibly use a card like this one to both stall time, but also contribute to tempo advantage on the board.
Feedback that I usually don't provide but can do so since I've won two times now
@linkblade91 - Isn't this a worse version of Savage Striker, which was already a weak card in its own right? This one has 1 less Attack and can be blocked by Taunts.
@BasilAnguis - I really like the idea of using minions from the past. I still think it suits Mage more, because time manipulations is more of their thing, and you can think of the card as pseudo-Polymorph, which is synonymous with Mage too.
@BloodMefist - Maybe Insatiable Devilsaur if we're speaking of the effect, which has cool flavor?
These slow speed spells really don't impress me...I'm not sure how this will be good enough to fix her when none of these new spells are every all that strong. Who wants to play a 6 mana deal 3 to two targets? I feel like the answer is no one.
Yes but if this doesn't help Lux, she will probably still not see play. I'm a little dubious myself of Jayce's efficacy. His level up is just Karma's but restricted to 6+ cost spells...doesn't seem great. Though his play/immediate effect is far better than Karma's to say the least so who knows.
I can confirm no packs yet, restarted the game, got bombarded with "store offers" but no free packs on sight. This is embarrassing for Blizzard at this point.
The pack quality of mercs drops significantly the more you open, because up until a certain point you'll start getting more portraits instead of mercs/coins, and since there's no dust system there can be packs that are just completely duds, unlike regular hearthstone.
I dont think there's a problem with the drop rate, but if you're trying to get everything without grinding, that's going to take quite a lot of packs.
Welp, that was kind of an underwhelming conclusion. Alright, who's gonna rez Tamsin for the next expansion? Is it Kel'thuzad? I bet it'll be Kel'thuzad.
Also what happened to Xyrella, what's she doing during all of this? Do we just have to wait for the Scabbs book to find out?
New Piltover & Zaun Card - Albus Ferros
A tutor card for Jayce the 6/5 quick attack is decent stat line but the best part is the burn damage that you can increase by casting 6+cost spells it give the decks another much needed win con.
New Piltover & Zaun Spell - Shock Blast
This is great if you have a Jayce or Lux on the board but is pretty meh without them.
New Piltover & Zaun Card - Ferros Skycruiser
Don't know what to think about this one 4/4 elusive is strong but 6+ cost spell makes it clunky.
New Piltover & Zaun Card - Ferros Financier
This is one the better cards from the champion set. There are some 6 mana spell that you don't want to main deck but who can be pretty powerful in certain situation like Hextech Transmogulator or Back to Back. Now you can access them with this follower.
