Someone tried something like this in Standard when I was playing Hero Power Mage. Just building as big of an Edwin as they could. But they only had him and two tiny minions on board. A couple trades and a Devolving Missiles with Eddie as the only target drew out the Concede.
I was thinking of doing something along these lines. It seems very much like the sort of deck you get to work once, smile, then kind of hope it it gets locked away somewhere in the pits of hell. Just imagine how much BS this would be if Blizz hadn't wisely stopped giving rogue 0-cost cards after Classic (Counterfeit Coin being the only exception). I guess we can expect that trend to continue for quite some time after this.
Many people expect the 10 mercenary characters will make final appearances as hero cards, which would be the natural final stage of their evolution across the year. I'd doubt Drek'thar and Vanndar get hero cards because of that.
Heck, with Mathias Shaw nowhere to be found in Stormwind, I'm not even confident we can rely on obvious characters appearing in AV. Drek'thar probably will be there, but I wouldn't assume anything until we know for sure he won't be inexplicably replaced by some random HS-original character.
Speaking of tasks, anyone have any tips on how to unlock Sylvanas' Reclaimed Souls task? I haven't used her a lot but it currently is requiring me to gain 10 attack with reclaimed souls, but the ability ONLY gains attack if one of your characters dies....seems like one of those "you'll get it eventually but it's annoying" tasks....(poorly designed IMO but that's a rant for another time)
Finally Drek’Thar as a real card in HS! It was long overdue… (no, being a PvE boss in Thrall’s book of heroes doesn’t count). He’s one of the oldest Horde lore characters and serves as the Horde boss in AV. Could be a hero card that summons strong elementals (as in the abovementioned PvE adventure)
Alliance’s is a mountain king dwarf called Vanndar Stormpike. Not so famous NPC but cool anyway. His hero card could involve the classic MK moves such as Avatar (do we have it in HS? Don’t think so), storm bolt (ST dmg) and thunder clap (AoE dmg

I like Argus Hopebringer. The effect is a little bit situational to use, but in the proper deck, it'll probably do its job pretty well. I really like the artwork too. Thumbs up overall.
Gust Incarnation has a pretty nice idea that fixes the inherent problem with Windfury. I get that Windfury is sort of a Shaman keyword (at least in terms of flavor), but I feel like I would prefer it if it were a Neutral card, if only because Windfury is such an underpowered keyword.
Sneaky Rodent is a fun Stealth-synergy card. I like it!

A bit on the weird side, but it's a fine piece of cross-synergy all the same.

Water Vortex is a pretty neat card, but it won't be eligible since Freeze doesn't count for this comp. Wispering Sorcerer is a nice pun and it seems balanced, although it's a very weird and probably suboptimal way to use Spell Damage.

A nifty idea, and it makes sense for there to be a Lifesteal synergy card in the set where it originated (and not something stupid like Deathaxe Punisher). I must ask though, is it intended to be able to hit your own stuff? It should probably be lowest-Attack enemy and I don't think that would be broken as it requires a bit of setup and a good Lifesteal minion to play at a time that you would want to use the effect on. It also avoids weird interactions such as if the Lifesteal minion itself was the lowest-Health minion.

But things have changed greatly since, they have mini-sets and a core set - there's definitely a number of viable alternatives that could be considered.
True, but I made it HS-proof. However, I remember the time we, as the player base, took on the Lich King. That took some days, maybe they could implement something again.
As expected, AV! Maybe Warriors can create matches that take 2 hours to complete to honour vanilla AV.
I am looking forward to the new keyword they will introduce. I dont think they split cards Alliance and Horde faction, but maybe they reintroduce Trade and Frenzy or more synergies with that? as seen in the mini-set, Trade has a lot more potential then when it was introduced.

The devs are either clueless and incompetent, or they are intentionally making Hearthstone more frustrating by creating Tier SSS decks to make people suffer and hate the game. There is no other reason to give cards like mr. Smite to an already powerful deck. And not only mr. Smite, they made another super strong pirate for warrior in this mini-set. It is really absurd.
It'd be nice if they managed to work more Murlocs into the set, Murloc Shaman got a massive boost in Barrens, and they've released a few Murlocs since then, but it still doesn't feel nearly complete in standard, and it's falling off again in Wild
