  • New Rogue Minion - Sandbox Scoundrel

This is really good. Technically, the first half only "costs" 2, then the mini version is like a minion Prep that helps you cheat out basically anything you want. For Pirate Rogue this is an auto-include, I think there will be other kinds of Rogue that give this a run, as well.

  • New Hunter Spell - Patchwork Pals

So they're basically saying we can choose the Animal Companion if we pay one more Mana? Sounds pretty strong and incredibly versatile! This will round out a lot of decks...

  • New Paladin Spell - Flash Sale

This card reminds me of Arbor Up: It's a buff spell that brings along a decent body and can be back-breaking if you've already got a decent board presence. I like this better at the 4 spot than something like Crusader's Aura specifically because it brings with it an Annoy-o-Tron so you can protect whatever minions are already on the board (and the Aura only buffs if the minions are ready to attack).

  • New Neutral Minion - Tar Slime

Very strong 1 drop, this set has a lot of those for different tribes! This will instantly slip into Elemental decks and do a great job of keeping the early under control or enabling follow up effects without being a total waste of Mana later in the game.

  • New Mage Minion - Puzzlemaster Khadgar

This is exciting: Usually when I play against Mage my weapon removal is just a dead card. Now it has a use! 10/10! Can't wait to Oooze!

  • New Neutral Minion - Workshop Janitor

I'm of a completely different opinion here - for me, this is one of the candidates for the Magma Rager award. It's way too expensive and 5 Mana do nothing has a nasty habit of exploding in your face if your not ahead anyway. Maaaaaaybe Spell Druid can use this because their location is super cheap and they might need the draw.

  • New Death Knight Minion - Darkthorn Quilter

This is the big payoff for Undead Buff strategies; I want to make this so big that it can machine gun down the entire board with a little left over for the opponent's face. I'm pretty high on this specifically for buff decks, I don't think any other decks will bother.

  • New Priest Minion - Clay Matriarch

This definitely looks strong and will probably be a favorite card of the set for many players. It's a dragon, it promotes board based strategies and it helps enable one of the funny broken (?) stars of the expansion. Nice one!

  • New Paladin Spell - Crafter's Aura

This is the Aura that would most benefit from some variety of cost reduction, like from Holy Cowboy, because otherwise that's a lot of random for a bit too much Mana and most 6-Drops in Standard aren't the kind of minions that you want to summon randomly (or at the end of your turn).

  • New Rogue Spell - Dig for Treasure

In a vacuum, this looks bonkers. Draw a Pirate for free sounds amazing! The biggest problem of this card is the power level of other 1 cost cards that Rogue already has access to... first and foremost Secret Passage and Gear Shift. So just like toy boat, I wouldn't bet on this making the cut in Wild Pirate Rogue.

  • New Paladin Weapon - Painter's Virtue

Hand Buff Paladin is one of my weak spots, but for the most part the archetype has never been that powerful. A 2 Attack weapon that costs 4 is not going to bring handbuffs back.

  • New Shaman Location - Fairy Tale Forest

Powerful location for Battlecry Shaman. I'd be interested in trying to use this to tutor specifically Shudder or Hagatha, and run otherwise only spells or minions that don't have Battlecries but that probably is getting a little too cute with a card that's just good.

  • Win a Whizbang's Workshop Pre-order Bundle With Out of Games

Rarity and gold seem to matter, with gold mattering a whole lot more, even more than in actual Hearthstone's dust value. The total pack value might be some kind of multiplication rather than addition, because a lone golden legendary isn't enough to get a really high score, but in the company of some golden cards of lower rarities the point value skyrockets.

  • New Neutral Minion - Nostalgic Clown

These callback cards that refuse to use their keywords are confusing af. This might end up being one of the best of them actually, the damage potential is nothing to ignore. Combo with Brann or Highlander Brann or Spirit of the Shark and you're good to go.

  • New Warrior Spell - Chemical Spill

I'm a lot lower on this card than those above me. If it's going to see play it'd be in a deck that has plenty of targets, and I don't think Warrior has enough to make that happen.

  • New Shaman Spell - Incredible Value

Nice reference here but probably not good enough to make the cut. I don't even know what would be the best outcome here. And what's the synergy with the rest of the set? I don't want this to be hit by Magatha either.

  • New Rogue Spell - Dig for Treasure

Rogue always has to have at least two cards that Cost 1 and draw cards in Standard, it's the law. I mean, even if you didn't have the second half of the card, drawing a minion for 1 Mana is still pretty good. I like Pirate Rogue, so I'll definitely try to see how powerful this card can get.

  • New Priest Minion - Clay Matriarch

A solid Taunt minion for Dragon Priest, and that miniaturize is so good as extra value. I really want Dragon Priest to be good!

  • New Neutral Minion - Rumble Enthusiast

Nope, absolutely not good enough. It's a nice outcome for random effects that summon a 3 cost minion like Wandering Monster, but that's about it.

  • New Neutral Minion - Sing-Along Buddy

Awesome card for a multitude of decks, some of them being Even Shaman, Even Paladin, QL Druid, maybe Even DK. Oh and don't forget DK Uther OTK decks :D

  • New Neutral Minion - Wind-Up Musician

Yeah, obviously a big W on flavor, but way too slow to be useful. Especially considering it's in the same set as Messmaker.

  • New Neutral Minion - Corridor Sleeper

The general sentiment seems to be this isn't it and I agree. The big plus is that you won't have a feels bad moment pulling this from packs if you've preordered one of the bundles.

  • New Death Knight Spell - Lesser Spinel Spellstone

I'm here for Handbuff DK and this is a very solid piece for it. Even if you don't upgrade the Spellstone, +1/+1 for all your Undead is nothing to scoff at since most minions you'll want to run in that deck share this tribe anyway.

  • New Paladin Spell - Fancy Packaging

Nice filler card if you have a deckspot left and don't know what do add. I'm still mad about Shroomscavate being a card. Wild probably doesn't need it?

  • DAMN! Lets hope I get this lucky during opening day

I could not even sleep from the sheer excitement! Not one but TWO WEAPONS!?
