I'm rooting for Alutemu, Gaby and Monsanto. All three players that have shown how amazing they have performed this season and deserve to go to World's the most.
Go with Diablo because his skillset is based on his Heroes of the Storm abilities and I want someone at Blizzard who isn't a designer to remember HotS exists.
I had something similar in the back of my mind, but couldn't figure out how to put it into words in a simple way. This moves a bit outside the guide's scope of judging on existing WoW lore flavor, which is why it wasn't included, but is still a very good point for the card's general flavor in relation to the warlock cards in this set as a whole.
Actually, Darkbishop Benedictus is depicting the time (possibly near the end of it) when he was still masquerading as a bishop of the Light, but secretly practicing the Void. Thus his bishop attire. Archbishop Benedictus is depicting him in his full Twililght Cultist robes as a minion of Deathwing. That fight took place at Wyrmrest Temple in Northrend, which is why he was included as part of Knights of the Frozen Throne. Really, that version would be better called "The Twilight Father", but I don't think they knew they were going to make him into another card at the time, so they just used his real name and had to slightly change it to "Darkbishop" when they made the new card in Stormwind.
Benedictus didn't get a good reveal or enough screen time in game. With the amount of characters in such a rich world like Warcraft I know it can be tough to get each enough time. Still he's one of the few I really liked the concept of and wanted more.
Shadowlands has been fun to watch with all the souls of past villains being revisited. Was hoping Benedictus would get his redemtion/punishment. Ah well.
It's the same character, just at different points in their life. Archbishop Benedictus is the version before he was corrupted as described in the article, while Darkbishop Benedictus is the version after.
Yeah, I don't think he's a weak merc. I was just saying I'm not fond of the design decision at this point in the game's life cycle. I will be less annoyed by it when there are more mercs and building a team feels less "paint by numbers."
I went really simple with Leper Gnome, Sandtrooper, Loot Hoarder, and Power Word: Shield. It worked well enough.
Draw cards for reload, deathrattle damage for more SMOrc. If you face someone without removal (or refusing to remove like the Ignite guy I fought) you just build a board and smash their face.
Super simple list. The one class card could be replaced with anything else to do the same on other classes.
For Mozaki Mage you need to try to get some big Hyena to win early, but if they draw well and get Ice Blocks there’s nothing you can do. For AnnoyPaladin just focus on board control, don’t go face and remove all their minions so they can’t buff them.
Anetheron's card effect could be seen as you taking the place of Tamsin Roame. During the game, you have to use your hero power to draw cards and allow Anetheron to activate his effect. This could be seen as you doing the preparations necessary to summon him to Stormwind. At least, that's how I see it.

[Game] Card Treasure Hunt (Hearthstone Riddles)
Maybe Snapjaw Shellfighter but I doubt it since it's an epic.

Cute Warlock
if you survive until turn 6
Lets play a game - Non-existing cards
Ah, my 3. legendary and my first ever golden one.
Maestra still not working
No reveal of mini set is ofc the bigger issue
Lets play a game - Non-existing cards
This card is mostly forgotten, but I keep thinking about it — why is it a legendary!?
Lets play a game - Non-existing cards
The watermark! This version uses the one from Saviors of Uldum when the card is from Forged in the Barrens.
Believe it or not, I actually have seen a few Questline Warlock decks on ladder that included the card in their deck.
Lets play a game - Non-existing cards
I changed something about this card. Ten bucks to anyone who can figure out what it was without looking it up.
Not actually; I can't verify whether or not you looked it up.
Maestra still not working
Patch doesn’t work.
Blizzard: the grand deception revealed!
Lich King or Diablo??? (Mercenaries)
Go with Diablo because his skillset is based on his Heroes of the Storm abilities and I want someone at Blizzard who isn't a designer to remember HotS exists.
Battle of the Bans
I love the Raven Idols brawl.
More brawls in rotation means more people get something interesting more often. Not every brawl is meant to be for everyone.
Lich King or Diablo??? (Mercenaries)
There are some frost and shadow synergies that Lich King can be worked into. With Varden, Voljin, Tamsen. Maybe more. But no tribal synergies.

As someone who has never played WoW, is there any connection between Darkbishop Benedictus and Archbishop Benedictus or is that just pure coincidence?
