I am at level 49 now in the track (bought the Tavern pass for the cosmetics and the XP boost). I have been farming the XP achievements (to the detriment of rank, but I'm at the Diamond 5 floor in both standard and wild, so I don't mind at all). Some of them are a real grind. Currently I am halfway through the "damage your opponent" one (the Tamsin questline), but people tend to concede when she gets dropped if things look bad on board. Overall, I am enjoying Stormwind and the new decks I have been able to play with what I unpacked.

Very cool concept, Avalon. Will be looking forward to see how this works out. 

Have a golden copy and i am pretty sure they will nerf this.

My nerf sugestion : shuffle into your deck and increase dmg and cost by one 

still broken with quest but thats whats you get blizzard

Entire book was buggy (especially the final chapter), no surprise that its final reward is bugged as well :(

Seemingly some card back should be here.

Also, Illidan doesn't have the crown after completion on hero selection screen.

Hey there dear Oocians! Let me welcome you the third Rewards Track Thread! I was waiting for someone else to make this thread, but after a week into the new expansion I´ve decided to make another one myself. Maybe some of you are tired of it already or simply don´t care, but for those of us, who want to track their progress, and see how is everyone else doing, this is the right place! I wish you´ll enjoy the new climb and hope you´ll end up higher than in the previous one!

OK, I´ll start then:

I´ve hoarded the 3 Weekly and Daily quests and bought the TP once again, so I´ve jumped to lvl 24 the first day I believe.. After a week in I´m at lvl 45, which feels good so far, but I know the climb will become way too slower. I´ve started to do the new XP achievements aswell, currently I´m at 30% done.

So, how are you all doing? Feel free to share your journey with us, your thoughts, feelings - happy or sad, just keep it friendly as usual, please. Have fun! :)

If you’re calculating the value of this deal, I recommend that you don’t think about the cost of individual packs or Legendaries. Instead, think about what you need to have fun with the game.

If you accept that a pack of 5 cards is worth $1.25, or a Legendary is worth $10, then guess what? Blizzard will keep offering you deals better than that, and you’ll sink hundreds of dollars into the game. The reality is that cards don’t have a static value to YOU. Your first 60 packs are vital to get all the Commons and Rares. Your next 60 are important to get a few more Epics and Legendaries, along with the dust to craft more. The 60 after that are nice, but have diminishing returns because you’ll have already drawn or crafted the most important cards for you. The ones after that are even less important.

So what do you want from the game? Is it enough packs to play a few competitive decks per expansion? Most competitive decks per expansion? A complete set? Also some cosmetics? Ok, now that you’ve decided that, what is it worth to you? Divide that over 4 months and decide if that’s a fair “subscription” price for the enjoyment Hearthstone will give you.

When I first started playing, the $50 pre-orders gave me the cards I needed from the current set (when added to my gold, of course), and the occasional other deal helped me stretch my resources to catch up on the older sets I hadn’t gotten. Then as my collection fleshed out, I only wanted the pre-order deal. Just as I was thinking that I should pay a little less, the new rewards track came out. Now I get all the cards AND cosmetics I could want from buying that pass and sometimes the mini-set. Some of the other deals are tempting, but I pass on them because I don’t need to dump more cards into my collection. It would just be wasted money.

You may decide you want more (or less) than me. Your decision may involve the occasional mid-expansion deal like this. That’s fine. I just encourage you to decide on a budget and a goal ahead of time so you don’t get tricked into buying more “good deals” than you actually want. 

I can see the golden bundle, and I'm FTP. I generally keep my golden cards, though, so perhaps that's the criteria they're using? 

They need to reevaluate Golden cards value. 1600 for an epic? Fuck off. Not gonna pay that with my wallet either. 

We are Dolphins. I buy the 2 prebundles and a couple other bundles along the way. Real whales seem to spend waaay more than we do.

I believe TJ is being joined by Lorinda this season (who also covered on Fridays last season). Their dynamic started off a bit hit and miss for me personally, but it’s definitely improving as they get more experience together.

First, thanks to Fluxflashor for the reminder about the lack of duplicate protection for golden cards!

I only got the standard bundle, and it was definitely worth it in my case: I went from 16 missing cards to 9 for United in Stormwind, including 4 legendaries (2 from the promo and 2 in packs).

Gotta admit, it would be fun to see specialists format where everyone plays Turbo Questlock and every game ends after 6 turns.

I know Specialist isn't particularly well-liked by the audience, but I also know a lot of the GM players were fine with it in small doses (remember that Blizzard gets their input before choosing the structure of the season), so I'm a little bit surprised it was removed completely for this season.

Also, with two players named on a variation of "Luna" in the Americas, I wonder if the casters will get into the habit of calling them by their full user name.

Speaking of which, do we know who will replace Frodan at the Americas desk? My first pick would be Jia -- her analytical skills are top notch, and I like her subtle sense of humour. On the other hand, I don't think her style would mesh with TJ.

On average I'm spending $20 each expansion (usually the bundles that arrive after launch). Never bought a pre-order bundle.

I'm not feeling very motivated to play at the moment. Especially with everything going on.

I've spent 3000 gold to buy 30 stormwind packs, have opened 50 in total.

Have just been doing dailies and weeklies, playing a little quest druid and face hunter (because I have the cards for that). 

If I feel like playing more, I'll probably use my tavern tickets (? - the tickets for arena/duels).

tldr; not buying any packs

As a whale, the Golden Stormwind bundle is a joke. I highly recommend against anyone purchasing this bundle just for the golden cards.

The regular UiS bundle on the other hand is good value for anyone on a budget or those who are missing just a few more cards to complete their pre-miniset, UiS collection. My general rule is that if the bundle costs more than 1 dollar for a pack, it’s not worth the money

That Illidan skin is sick! I wonder what this Boy chapter will talk about, since we already know part of Illidan's story thanks to last year's Prologue.

OP here, and I am still holding fast that Raid the Docks may need to be looked at for the Wild element.  Much like Stealer of Souls created an environment that was not only flooded with Warlock builds, but made them really dominant.  I would be hesitant to say that I have an encounter rate of 3-5 opponents that are playing pirate warrior with that card.  

Yes, it does require you to set up your board and maintain it.  Yes it plays differently than previous versions of Pirate Warrior.  Yes it is still dominating.  The one saving grace against Pirate Warrior was that you eventually ran out of gas.  With The Juggernaut, you are ensured 2x2 damage every turn, a random pirate on the board, and some kind of hero swing on top of what you draw and play that turn. 

I've been able to once in a while control my way out of it or out aggro them.  Suffice it to say that it is still really dominating.
