First early post. Reaching Lv. 15. Yeah no biggie. Not playing Hearthstone for about a week. I even doubt I'm gonna do all those achievements again. Hate to say it has gotten to the point where I have no mood to grind any losing deck just to finish them.
And I doubt I reach Diamond 5 at this month. Maybe at some point I can cut ties with all this Hearthstone addiction forever.
But if you still have the love to play the game, go ahead and play. Nothing including me should ever stop you from getting fun.
Maybe we'll see again at some point, or maybe not.
I've never been a great druid player, but I remember years ago, back when Wild Growth cost 2, druids often ran very few 3 drops because they planned to jump straight to 4 mana. So they delayed effect is definitely significant, even if it won't always matter.
I have absolutely no idea about Standard, as I only play Wild, but I hope they are going to tackle it:
Warlock Questline is dominating in Wild and is pretty strong, so if they target Wild as well with Balance Changes, I could see them changing Crystallizer - I have no idea how they would nerf it, but 1 Mana to deal 5 damage to yourself is almost enough to complete a part in the questline...
There's also Questline Hunter, and I mostly see (and play it myself) Odd Hunter. They could easily take away some of its power by increasing the cost of Clockwork Automaton by 1, making it unplayable in Odd Hunter.
crystalizer shouldnt be changed, its a balanced card outside questlock.
and imo better idea (for now and future) would be to make the quest require taking dmg on your turn a certain amount of times. Say 4/5/6 times then crystalizer would still help with molten and/or flesh giant but not almost complete a step of questline on its own.
I really love duels, but I don't play them a lot because I like constructed better and I have only so much time to play. And this challenge will definitely stimulate me to play more duels. Thanks, Avalon.
Thanks! It definitely wasn't optimal, in normal circumstances the only corrupt card I'd keep is the Medic. The other ones were just there to fill the requirements.
Honestly I didn't expect to get far with this deck, just goes to show the power of Meek Mastery.
Why would you nerf fringe wild cards that see almost zero play outside of given decks? Why not nerf questlines itself or newer and stronger cards like, you know, Darkglare?
Honestly, I'd leave Ignite the way it is and just finally, after years and years of this thing breaking stuff, I'd nerf the goddamn Sorcerer's Apprentice. Even if you nerf Ignite for Wild it won't make a difference. Mage still has Mozaki, APM Flamewaker, Quest all of which abuse Sorcerer's Apprentice, Incanter's Flow and the ridiculous amount of draw that Mage has. And considering these decks now kill people turn 6, and safely hide behind uninteractable Ice Blocks that only Quest Hunter naturally beats, different metas aren't going to really change the viability of these Mage OTKs. They're too fast now to be reliably countered by aggro. So unless we want to keep seeing new versions of zero interaction OTK Mages pop up every time a new expansion releases, Sorcerer's Apprentice needs to get the Summoning Portal treatment.

Im less concerned about wild because more broken things are available than being able to continually cycling Ignite. For now, if they would remove or nerf Incanter's Flow then I'd say we can leave the other mage stuff in standard alone for the time being.
The point of changing the mana cost of the quest rewards has less to do with investment and more to do with the length of the game and the madness of the quest reward's ability to close games so consistently the following turn its played, not to mention the absurdity that a combo deck can consistently finish a game by turn 5-7.
@Alleria, I expected this RT:CP thread would be created by either you or me if noone else would. So, this means you arrived in Stormwind before I did 😄
I am at level 57 with Tavern Pass. I only had 1 weekly quest saved up this time and I had no Challenge a friend quests active from my F2P accounts unfortunately.
I got early Legend a few days ago by farming Questline Warlock in Wild. I have been doing the new XP achievements ever since which are now 66% done. I want to complete them as soon as possible before the nerfs arrive next week which would probably increase the difficulty a bit I think.
Good luck and have fun everyone. Let us make the best of our stay in Stormwind, Cheers! 🍻
Got 3 extra legendaries from 20 packs. Total of 5 legendaries for $20!
I've been very lucky for the last two expansions. But the new reward system and legendary offerings helped a lot.
I was able to collect all the legendaries in Barrens (I think I've crafted only 2 of them) with buying the small pre-order, tavern pass and a similar offer like this one.
For Stormwind, I'm missing only 3 legendaries (again only bought small pre-order, tavern pass and this offer). When I reach lvl 50, I'll get another one so most probably I'll be able to collect all legendaries by crafting only two legendaries again.
I'd say nerf the Cost of quest rewards to make the bigger of an investment. And also nerf Ignite to shuffle a copy only at the end of your turn, because even if Incanter's Flow would be nerfed, Wild players still have to deal with Sorcerer's Apprentice who can still break that card.
I'm actually quite surprised at how the meta is still evolving. I refreshed HSreplay and saw warrior and rogue are in the dumpster (probably coz some players are still learning the bleed deck for rogue).
And finally, after 4 year, Blizzard has made hand buff paladin actually viable and a T1 deck. Wouldn't be surprised to see Alliance Bannerman targeted along with some non-interactive stuff from Mage and Warlock.
Very tempted to buy this, since I’ve only opened 3 legendaries (Rat King, Bolner, Jaxon, no quests) in about 80 packs since launch. No preorders but I bought tavern pass, I guess that extra 20$ might be well spent.
You're first try was closer: try Rogue and Deathrattle again, but have a closer look at the first line. The last line is flavor related and might be missed if you don't play the game in English.
Its actually a break from the usual, because convention would be to offer 20 packs from the previous expansion now, and then two months later to offer another with 20 of the current expansion.
Well, this deal does get you 10 more packs from stormwind, but the split can mean you're a little less likely to get a legendary off the 20 packs since they're 10 each rather than 20 of the same.
I have played all of them for fun, but I reached legend this month with Paladin. From the quest locks I faced, most of them run the zoo version now and they win with Flesh Giants instead

Hearthstone Won't Receive Balance Changes This Week, Developers Targeting Early Next Week for Card Changes
Darkglare has already been nerfed in the past and I don't think it's that powerful anymore.
I feel like they are better off with nerfing cards that abuse the quests, not the quests themselves so they become unplayable.

Prolonged Growth is just buffed Wild Growth. The very next turn gain normally doesn't matter too much.

I would like this:
Battleground Battlemaster - change to battlecry: give another friendly minion WF
Kolkar Pack Runner - change to 2/1
Trampling Rhino - change to 4/5
Wailing Vapor - change to 1/2
Incanter's Flow - 3 mana
Backfire - 4 mana
+ also make the rewards from Warlock, Mage and Druid quests more expensive
