  • NEW - Oracle Rattle Druid (video Guide)

nope. The three out of ten times it actually works it's fun, but other than that it just gets stomped.

  • Hunter and Warrior Quests are Total Nerf Targets

Based on my impression so far (WILD perspective):

    • Warlock ist the one I have encountered the most and it is extremly strong; it is basically impossible to not finish it before Turn 7 with a decent deck list; once Tamsin is down you lost pretty much; nerf suggestion (this will happen): make it a temporary effect (as long as she is on the board)
    • Mage quest seems fairly strong but do they really need it in wild?
    • Priest quest is really slow, too slow
    • Hunter: Did not encounter it yet but seems not that strong in wild
  • Hunter and Warrior Quests are Total Nerf Targets

Gotta disagree with the OP here. Raid the Docks feels really weak right now. I tried building a control shell with it and a somewhat midrange one, and I didn't win a game in 6 tries. Maybe my builds just suck, but it feels really slow compared to the burn meta we're having right now. A better list might emerge, but I don't think it's gonna be a nerf candidate at all.

Defend the Dwarven District seems to be Tier 2 at best for now. I haven't played it, but from my observations while facing this deck, it struggles against board-centric decks and loses gas fast, which was expected. Its ideal game plan is to just direct every damage to face, but with its lack of card draw options that's just not a reliable plan. An interesting strategy would be to go the control route and basically set up for an OTK turn in the late game, but Hunter just doesn't have many defensive tools. I've beaten all Tavish Hunters I've faced with my Quest Warlock, which sounds insane.

Speaking of Quest Warlock, it feels really good to play, and pretty solid too. Warlock's defensive toolkit is really strong right now so surviving into the late game against aggro isn't impossible now. Touch of the Nathrezim and Demonic Assault(one of the underrated cards of the set) make this deck viable. I'm still not sure about this deck's viability once some refined aggro decks come out, but I'm enjoying it while it lasts.

And once again, Mage is a huge pain in the ass at the start of the expansion. It just sucks when your opponent doesn't play any minions and just burns your face again and again, especially when your gameplan is dependent on interacting with opponents' minions. The Mage quest looks like bait though; a more straightforward Spell Mage seems like the better option.

The nerf targets I'm seeing are Incanter's Flow (should've been nerfed last expansion, honestly) and Ignite. The latter will just murder any control deck with its infinite value. Why did they print that?

I agree with this bolden part of the statement, but would say the same thing applies to Warlock, it too is a very uninteractive deck to play against for similar reasons. There is no real way to interact with how it tries to kill you.

To be fair, that applies to just about all the quest that was introduced and obviously that's what everyone is playing at the moment. All the quest decks are practically single player; just complete the quest and load up the win condition. The only interactive part of it is that your opponent can screw you over by playing no minions, and even then its not a guarantee.

That's not to say that its a bad thing. Its good to have a variety of decks that isn't just loading up the board, but its quite another thing entirely when most of the games you're playing is basically just a single player fest. I can only hope that a week later the meta would form somewhat and we start seeing more board focused decks.

    100% agreed.

  • Lady Prestor

  • Awesome United in Stormwind Launch Decks from Hearthstone's Top Players and Streamers

The mage quest isn't an aggro deck, it is a very fast combo deck. With the ability to draw through their deck and go infinite with Ignite

This deck craps on control and the way to counter it (in theory) is to aggro it down. I can see a optimised Hammer Shaman or Face Hunter beating it.

Its not something we have seen a lot in HS standard format, usually the Combo/OTK decks are a lot slower here than in other card games, so I can't really blame people for confusing it for an aggro deck.

That being said, I will be very surprised if the mage and warlock quest deck don't get a nerf somewhere, they seem very overtuned. Perhaps the Mage quest is just building of a mostly refined Spell Mage deck, but I sincerly doubt it.

I unfortunately unpacked the Mage quest and I can't understand why Blizzard pushes archetypes that are SO MUCH aggro. The game is supposed to be played and enjoyed, non to be ended in the first turns. I tried it and I finished the quest in turn 6, then destroyed my opponent 30-0 in the following turn because I simply had so much damage in hand that I had no reason to not go face. That poor priest just wanted to one-shot me with his quest, I felt so guilty.

  • Leaving The Barrens Behind, Entering Stormwind - How Was Your Rewards Track Journey?

Got to 151 without tavern pass at 7995 gold (Yes Blizzard rigged it so I couldn't get 80 packs). I have missed a bunch of weekly and daily quests coz Hearthstone can't be the only game I play 🙃

  • Pack opening statistics and saltiness

I bought the 60-pack bundle then bought 57 more with gold, and I opened 8 legendaries: Varian, King of Stormwind, Darkbishop Benedictus, Bolner Hammerbeak, Rise to the Occasion, Cornelius Roame, Jace Darkweaver (golden), Sheldras Moontree, and Raid the Docks.

The free legendaries I got are The Demon Seed, Lothar, Anetheron, and Lady Prestor from the battle pass.

Not bad at all! That's 8 legendaries in just 107 packs. I've been meaning to play some Warlock decks (quest and Handlock seem fun) and Pirate Warrior, and I'm relieved I unpacked Varian so I won't have to buy the tavern pass anymore just to get the Diamond version. The cosmetics in this pass just freaking suck (with the exception of Yrel), so I don't think it's worth buying. I'll just climb up the ranks with no XP boost, which might be easy enough.

I'm also amused that this is the 4th straight expansion that I've gotten a golden DH legendary. I've had golden Metamorphosis, Ace Hunter Kreen, Star Student Stelina, Death Speaker Blackthorn, and now Jace in my collection lol

  • Leaving The Barrens Behind, Entering Stormwind - How Was Your Rewards Track Journey?

I won't be able to buy the tavern pass until pay day (I have bought the others when they became available), and honestly, I understand the outrage behind the initial tavern pass. It feels like regular play awards little to nothing.

  • Scholomance EVEN Warlock

Yes! I think many of the cards from United in Stormwind (UiS) support Even Warlock. However, in my opinion, the cards from UiS support the archetype in a way that goes in a slightly different direction from the traditional Even Warlock archetype. Specifically, I think that the UiS cards push the archetype into a more control-focused build that really tries to drop endless giants as the win-condition. On the contrary, the previous versions of Even Warlock generally tried to mana-cheat giants quickly while keeping its health total in precarious spots to maximize the effectiveness of cards such as Hooked Reaver, Lesser Amethyst Spellstone, and Molten Giant. Unfortunately, I'm not sure which style is more effective, but I think you can use the UiS cards to take the deck in this kind of direction:

Control Even Handlock Card Swap Ideas

+1 Anetheron, +2 Dark Alley Pact, +2 Entitled Customer, +2 Spice Bread Baker, +2 Goldshire Gnoll, +2 Faceless Shambler

-1 Sunfury Protector, -2 Molten Giant, -2 Lifedrinker, -2 Vulgar Homunculus, -2 Lesser Amethyst Spellstone, -2 Hooked Reaver

(Also, swapping out Darkbomb for Drain Soul or dropping Hellfire entirely might be worth it in this more control focused list.)

There are other cards that are certainly worth considering (e.g. Encumbered Pack Mule), but I haven't gotten to playtest these ideas yet. I will definitely be experimenting with Even Warlock this expansion, and there is a decent chance I will make a new guide/list after I get around to testing it out. I'll be sure to link it in this guide somehow if I do get around to making a new list.

  • Hunter and Warrior Quests are Total Nerf Targets

Played with Quest Warlock for a while and the deck seems VERY solid. It absolutely demolished any minion-based strategies and can very easily win most matchups. It only really struggles against Mage which has the capability to burst Warlock down while not having any minions to leech off/cycle cards.

And of course, the quest I hate is Mage :) just throw down spells and complete it by turn 6. After that, just take everything and point it face. I don’t know, maybe aggro is really good against it?

  • Pack opening statistics and saltiness

Around 140 packs (preorder + 40 from gold + reward track/ ladder reward):

9 legendaries (8 questlines + rogue disguise guy). Missed only Shaman and WL. Paladin ql came from the 5 golden packs.

Preorder goldens: rat king and druid guy.

Additionally I got Lothar as reward track reward and Paladin guy from Standard pack (reward)

That makes a good collection. I have been lucky overall, because I opened a golden Maiev from some Phoenix packs lying around, too!

  • Blizzard President J. Allen Brack Leaves the Company After California's Sexual Harassment Lawsuit Filed & Employee Walkout

If he wasn't let go for this, then at the least he should have been let go for that hairdo.

  • Leaving The Barrens Behind, Entering Stormwind - How Was Your Rewards Track Journey?

Got to level 181 without the pass. Nice amount of gold for United in Stormwind.
The other accounts are a little bit lower like 178/179.

  • standard pack

I received the hanbuff Paladin Legendary from Standard pack. So it's not a general problem.

  • [Game] Card Treasure Hunt (Hearthstone Riddles)

    Not sure, but... Barrel Toss?

  • Pack opening statistics and saltiness

This is the first time I've been so grateful. 8 legendaries from 85 packs. No pre-bundles. only gold.

  • Garrote Fatigue Rogue

So why does this need Cornelius? Shouldn't any draw spell do the trick?

  • The Pepper Thread - Share Some Good Vibes!

Really working on refining still but I made a new Ignite Exodia Mage on day 1.  Only played a few games so far and have mad a few changes here and there, but I pulled it off once already!

I you aren’t aware, the combo goes 1Sanctum Chandler, 2 Sorcerer's Apprentice, and then Ignite into an infinite loop of damage!

BEWARE animation times!  Hemet, Jungle Hunter can be used to set up the combo turn once you have the needed cards.  Doesn’t empty your deck, just removes all spells, which should cost 3 or less!  This guarantees the Chandler draws the shuffled Ignite.

If you’re interested I hope to have a list up soon!

  • Hunter and Warrior Quests are Total Nerf Targets

First impressions: Use Malygos the Spellweaver in your Quest Hunter decks. 10/10 Satisfaction. Get Tavish, Master Marksman at 8 mana by playing 2 spells for 3 mana and play it for avoiding Mutanus the Devourer with almost no cards in hand, then play Malygos the Spellweaver at 9. You will end game probably at 10.

  • Pack opening statistics and saltiness

Opened roughly 40 packs with gold and got 5 epics and 3 legendaries; 2 of which were quests fortunately
