This is one of those cards where you want to use Provoke against a board of small tokens or something. Is it worth it? Probably not as there's not much mech support in standard right now, but it's good value nonetheless. You wouldn't be making a deck around this guy though, he's more of a last minute tech option
Pretty great card draw/tutor for the new quest warrior and maybe with all these pirates we'll see the dreaded insurgence of aggro pirate warrior. Good card, will see lots of play
Twin Slice for mage, insta 5 stars. Sure it cant go FACE, but if you look at all the other fire spell support in this set then i dont think its that much of a bad thing.
In wild i'm not sure if it sees play. Thats because you often prefer Ray of Frost in OTK decks, because you can cast Ray of Frost multiple times without the fear that a minion dies before the 2nd cast.
Nice, Priest needed more silence effects since the core set introduction. Probably one of the best silence effects seeing as it's tradable, and I can see many players being greedy in wanting the best board to silence. Should see a lot of play in control/quest priest. Can even be discovered off of Pandaren Importer for Shadow priest
Hmm seems kinda.. bad. Needs big spell support, which it doesn't have it standard. But even in wild, why would you want to risk discounting a spell to <5 mana? That just means 1 less dragon from Dragoncaller Alanna.
The only time i can see Celestial Ink Set being used is in either wild in a big spell deck and just pray that it hits a 10 cost spell, or in standard once it gets the support it needs.
This minion is the sleeper of the set. Insane attack for 4 mana that will destroy absolutely anything in the mid game and the lifesteal effect makes it useable in so many different archetypes like control, midrange, quest, combo... except aggro, they prob wouldn't run this, but could!
Really cool AOE for a control or big paladin deck. It'll be a small amount of healing but could scale with spell damage if you're desperate. Also being tradable makes it extremely flexible
This looks like it belong in a big spell mage with Clumsy Courier. Not enough support for that yet and not really that many big spells unless you want to try an elemental mage with Grand Finale. This weapon definitely needs more support.
Welp... guess there's no fatiguing mage anymore. Every mage deck would want to include this card, even if it's not part of their game plan. It's just straight up infinite damage
Revealing cards should start the moment the expansion releases. That's how it should work instead of all the theorycrafting and blahblah before it's even released. Gives lots more fun and we would see more variation in decks cause people have to make decks themselves and not everyone playing the same deck from the start. But hey...that's my ow opinion :)
There are pros and cons. I wasn't super engaged with the card reveals back in 2014, so I accidentally went into GvG like that, and it was indeed great. But even if everyone liked that approach (which they don't), a large part of HS's revenue comes from pre-orders so they are never going to hide everything until release.

New Mage Spell - First Flame
Twin Slice for mage, insta 5 stars. Sure it cant go FACE, but if you look at all the other fire spell support in this set then i dont think its that much of a bad thing.
First Flame also finishes 2/3 turns for Grand Magus Antonidas, AND because its 1 mana it can get generated from Wandmaker. Also alongside Sanctum Chandler you can draw a bunch of cards. Oh and First Flame is also good for finishing the questline.
In wild i'm not sure if it sees play. Thats because you often prefer Ray of Frost in OTK decks, because you can cast Ray of Frost multiple times without the fear that a minion dies before the 2nd cast.
New Priest Spell - Shard of the Naaru

New Warrior Minion - Stormwind Freebooter
Pretty decent pirate for the quest and even an aggro pirate warrior if that turns out to be a thing in standard again.
New Mage Weapon - Celestial Ink Set
Hmm seems kinda.. bad. Needs big spell support, which it doesn't have it standard. But even in wild, why would you want to risk discounting a spell to <5 mana? That just means 1 less dragon from Dragoncaller Alanna.

Dean Ayala's Hearthstone Community Q&A #23 - 8th Board Slot, 2022 Expansions Locked-In, Hearthstone Manga?
They opened hand size to 12 cards, only a matter of time before cards limit and expand board size
New Mage Weapon - Celestial Ink Set
This looks like it belong in a big spell mage with Clumsy Courier. Not enough support for that yet and not really that many big spells unless you want to try an elemental mage with Grand Finale. This weapon definitely needs more support.

Dean Ayala's Hearthstone Community Q&A #23 - 8th Board Slot, 2022 Expansions Locked-In, Hearthstone Manga?
It says "permanent", which makes me think it will not be for a minion, but rather for an "aura" effect or something akin to that.
[UiS] Overload Spell Shaman
Is there a reason we're not playing Charged Call? Seems like a no-brainer in this deck
New Neutral Minion - Guild Trader
You don't include this in your deck, but you can discover it with Primordial Studies and then trade it for something else in your deck.
[Game] Card Treasure Hunt (The Resurrection Attempt)
It's a murloc. And this is the only murloc that has *** keyword ITSELF. There is a lot of minions that can't be "missed".
Sorry if it THAT bad. Didn't have time to do a better one.
Really Annoyed By Reveals
There are pros and cons. I wasn't super engaged with the card reveals back in 2014, so I accidentally went into GvG like that, and it was indeed great. Game freezes on Amazon tablet after latest patch.
Same here on my Samsung tablet. Phone works though.
New Neutral Minion - Two-Faced Investor
It will probably never see play, however it is a card that would certainly appeal to those looking for diamond hands.
Dreaded Mount
