Regardless if this legendary is good or not, I'm so excited to try it! And with each new mini-set and expansion, there will be more Fel spells to play with. Here's hoping Blizzard printed a high cost Fel spell to release with this guy.
Board presence implies having multiple units on board. As just stated the majority of the top tier decks go all in on one champ, usually a cheap one with quick attack.
Yes some decks continue to do well playing aggro, usually revolving around burn or extra attack phases.
These decks are "fine" nobody complains that they go for a mystic shot and get noxious fevered. It's far worse when your opponent plays a 3 mana champ and depending on your region you know that he will essentially never be removed, and will threaten insane burst damage and might even have extra attacks.
Its way toooo swingy the ideal game of legends of runeterra should be decided by mana 5 not mana 3.
I always get excited seeing these Tess type legendries. They have so much potential and have to be re-evaluated every time more cards get added to the game. Also a nice big legendary to help push that control/big demon archetype
Horrible, even if it could go face there's little to no reason to run this over other weapons. May be better than Truesilver Champion if you play cards like The Glass Knight or Zandalari Templar since you take damage before getting the heal but why would you play those cards in the first place lol
I guess the point is that a fairly narrow class identity isn't necessarily a bad one. We have 10 classes, and they don't all need to be able to do everything, and nobody needs to enjoy all 10 classes either.
Oh I certainly agree here, but they've clearly pointed out and made in the past various archetypes/sub-archetypes available for classes, even with those who had established class identities. Just pointing out that maybe this year they'll try to push a control hunter meta, who knows. It would be a refreshing change of pace is all I'm saying as I'm really really tired of seeing hunter have a tier 2 deck that skirts both buffs and nerfs, but is always "just good enough" to make ranking up every month an annoying, living hell.
In short: I'm tired of hunter *consistently* always having a tier 2 aggro deck every single month that is viable for them to rank up with. (Sometimes even tier 1). Every other class enjoys brief moments on the bottom of the heap after a nerf or just bad expansion releases. Hunter? Nada.

It's difficult to make this compare well to Underlight Angling Rod, but I do respect the design of this, especially at a time when I'm worn down by what feels like 16 months of aggro. Is it worse than the Angling Rod most of the time? Yes. Is it better if you just want to spite (smite?) aggro? Yes.
Since you're the only one who took the time to forment a thought beyond "card bad ugg zugg. me post count go up" I'll respond to you! I think the intention here was not to print a low impact epic card, but rather to prevent the card from being used in certain archetypes. This isn't horrible, and if paladin was in a meta/world where they needed healing/removal that scaled with attack (or got attack buffs from spells other sources) this could be great even. But simply put this is a weapon/healing card meant to never be put into an aggro player's deck. I think they feared that making it able to hit heroes it would just forment another paladin aggro meta.
While that does make the card feel "underwhelming" from a reveal standpoint that would be my guess as to why it is designed the way it is (also being lifesteal, if it had 4 attack, it would be BETTER than truesilver or underlight rod. So everyone making comments about how the other weapons are better, just remember that by giving this weapon ANY number of stats (attack/charges) actually makes it the de-facto go to weapon for paladin.
All to be boiled down to Pass Pass thing, combo out burst...why even design good cards when they will never succeed in that combat trick heavy environment?
It's ironic that you complain about the "pass pass thing" because that's exactly the control play style, keep passing until your opponent play a unit and pop it off with removal.
Pass pass, Zed
Pass Pass, Darius
Pass, Pass, thing, sivir, ruin runner
So your telling me that in meta where have decks like Pirate Aggro, Lurks and Azir/Irelia, you can just keep passing for four even six turns and still be alive? Not gonna happen.
You can afford to pass for one or even two turns but after that you have to play proactively develop your board put pressure on your opponent. because otherwise your going to be dead by turn five or six.
Honestly, that might not be such a bad plan. Rogue definitely has the draw now and the ability to shuffle multiple plushies while maintaining tempo and drawing into them on a regular basis doesn't sound horrible
We have 3/4 of a Wandmaker solution if we ignore Line 3 or assume, err..., the Marsuul Cubs from Adorable Infestation are actually squirrels? I can't come up with anything better for now.
BTW, if this happens to be correct I feel like this is a team effort so maybe R or anchorm4n can do the next one.
I'm not even saying Rise to the Occasion is necessarily that good, it still may be way too slow, but this is the only questline that is even in the ballpark of looking like it might be playable imo
Some shenanigans are possible. Also it is possible to get infinite coins and hey loser flingers. At least Pen Flinger was nerfed way before this expansion so it is just a 4 mana 3 card full board clear
While not amazing, some Secret Paladin weirdoes could just slot this in an extra late game push with the late game equivalent of a Lord Jaraxxus hero power. Let's not forget that, between First Day of School, Invalid Deck ID and all the secrets, you already have enough fuel in some decks for Rise to the Occasion to be workable. In fact, I'd argue the worst thing about this card is the first reward, since it's in conflict with Sword of the Fallen.
Out of all the quests revealed so far, this one is my favourite, not in terms of pure power (which frankly, it doesn't have, Rise to the Occasion is a very balanced card), but in terms of flavour and ability to fit the class it's on.
New Warlock Card Revealed for United in Stormwind by Keuhn - Dark Alley Pact
Oh hand lock and giants, I've missed you for so long. And with Backfire on turn 3, the fiend will probably be bigger than giants

New Demon Hunter Minion - Jace Darkweaver
Regardless if this legendary is good or not, I'm so excited to try it! And with each new mini-set and expansion, there will be more Fel spells to play with. Here's hoping Blizzard printed a high cost Fel spell to release with this guy.
New Warlock Card Revealed for United in Stormwind by Keuhn - Dark Alley Pact
Maybe even better since you could coin it out on turn 3 as a slightly smaller threat or combine it with tamsin
New Warlock Card Revealed for United in Stormwind by Keuhn - Dark Alley Pact
The shadow tag matters quite a lot, playing this twice with Tamsin Roame seems fun.
Rise to the Occasion
I don't see the Reward Cards anywhere ?

New Warlock Spell - Dark Alley Pact
This looks good - Warlock Hero Power on turn 2 and maybe even 3 and that could give you a Minion with good Stats early on.
New Warlock Card Revealed for United in Stormwind by Keuhn - Dark Alley Pact
Welcome back Mountain Giant
EDIT: Btw for those who wonder, the hermaphrodite Lappish beaver line is a reference to French cult classic La cité de la peur (my favorite movie)

[Game] Card Treasure Hunt (The Resurrection Attempt)
OK, putting together R and anchorm4n's work:
1. Line 1 could be Wicked Whispers or Whirlwind
2. Line 2 could be some Mage frosty 1-drop, maybe Brain Freeze or Snap Freeze
3. Line 3, well we'll get to that later.
4. Line 4 is likely Focused Will
