Its an ogre card. Not since Ogre Brute has any of them actually seen ranked play. This one will continue that trend.

Atleast is a funny packfiller with a trolden potential when is summoned with cards like Serpentshrine Portal.

Utter trash, even the positive outcome might be useless as you can't target it, while the negative outcome is devastating. And in exchange you get... worse than vanilla stats? Should be at least a 4/4.

In the past we would have "50% chance to reduce the cost" and it would have been terrible. This is a better use of the 50% chance and I like it.

EDIT: I though it was increasing the mana reduction (like, once increasing it now reduce by 2) but its not, its increasing the cost... pfouahahah as bad as the old 50% cards from the past then.

Its weird, because the risk and rewards are basically at polar opposites to one another.

Unfortunately, this is a card more for streamers to scream about to their fans. Far as competitive is concerned, it can easily give you a massive advantage on top of being a soft taunt, or it can make you curse at your screen and destroy your keyboard.

This is an absolute filler card.

Not only is it RNG but even the positive effect (payoff) is so poor. This will never see play outside of arena.

The way I understand this is there is 50% chance to discount a single card in your hand by 1 and a 50% chance to increase a single card in your hand by 1.  So effect is already bad and you attach it to a below baseline vanilla body.

Nobody wants to increase the cost of their cards in hand. The chance to have it decrease will not be worth it. Won't be played. 

I'm not sure if this will be viable, but the flavour is 5/5

No, I think my assessment was fair. While 'rattle rogue has had a few looks over the years, the Boomsday -> DoD version (the 'Necrium' version I suppose) was designed from the ground up to be a 'cheese deck'. It was all about getting big deathrattles early and multiplying them.

Regardless of whether it fits with your idea of what a deathrattle deck looks like, the core of the deck was big deathrattles and deathrattle synergy cards. The deathrattles were not just some optional component like Brain Freeze is in spell mage.

There should be interesting interaction with Majordomo Executus. If you gonna die by attacking as Ragnaros with Majordomo Executus's deathrattle on [Hearthstone Card (Counterfeit Dagger) Not Found], you will turn into Ragnaros again.

Nothing says shady like a V-neck+Goatee combo 😏

Not optimistic about this card.

It looks like an anti aggro weapon of pally but competes with so many other weapon cards in paladin. That plus the massive downside of not being able to hit face.

Necrium was a failure because it didn't actually make Deathrattle Rogue. It made Cheese Rogue that uses a specific two part combo to just scam the game.

It's like saying Freeze Mage works because Spell MAge runs Brain Freeze

It's difficult to make this compare well to Underlight Angling Rod, but I do respect the design of this, especially at a time when I'm worn down by what feels like 16 months of aggro. Is it worse than the Angling Rod most of the time? Yes. Is it better if you just want to spite (smite?) aggro? Yes.

It's not bad but I'll need to see the deathrattles first. If you don't get this on curve it just gets worse later on (unless we have some insane gamewinning deathrattle).

Also, I wonder how this works with certain deathrattles that work with minion stats (like Sergeant Sally)
