Probably sees play in Controlock if nothing else, but I'm trying to think of how much healing you need to do for it to be worth it. Probably 6 or more? The fact that it's only your hero does also limit it's use, since you can't heal up a big taunt after a trade.
I mean we've all been playing it for going on 7 years now. It's actually kind of amazing that we all enjoy it still (or at least I hope so). Think about how many games many people pick up play, and then never play again as soon as the new "hot" game comes out. (I.e. FIFA, COD, Madden, etc). I actually like the fact that I consider Hearthstone one of my core games.
Sure my play time waxes and wanes with my other gaming interests, but I always end up coming back (in a healthy way.....not like in an unhealthy WoW-MMO Addiction way haha).
I do wonder if the game is gonna get revamped or new code though. At this point they have to be encountering some serious coding issues and it often seems like with the multiple game modes they've tried (Arena, Duels, BG's, Solo Adventures, and now mercenaries) that maybe starting over fresh with "Hearthstone 2" and cutting the bad modes (Duels is just a better Arena mode for example, though I still enjoy Arena for it's "sealed pack draft" feeling.
I like the flavor and art. But I mean come on, who the heck thought this card was worth printing? If you go first and if this starts in your opening hand and if your opponent doesn't use the coin to kill it then you to draw a single extra card for 1 mana. I am calling it now, this is the worst card in the set.
I also think it is weird that this would be featured in the announcement video. They only get to showcase a small number of cards to tell us what the set is about and create a good first impression. You'd think they would pick something more exciting. It isn't a big deal or anything, I just think it's an odd decision.
Paladins will already play Smuggler's Run to get a single +1/+1 buff, and for the same amount of mana and a minuscule amount of extra work, you an get triple that. I am not looking forward to dealing with this.
Something to remember about mage is that, especially in wild, they can generate a lot of cards. Playing 9 spells of specific schools in the right order is tough, but probably not as hard as it sounds. And once you have spell damage +3, unless you are already dead on board you should be able to just blast your opponent to pieces.
If nothing else the queslines will be a lot of fun to experiment with and will inspire a lot of cool deckbuilding.
I don't think this will work. There are simply too many hoops to jump through and too many risks to take. Such a large portion of your deck will have to be built around making this work and surviving it just doesn't feel plausible.
That being said I am still likely going to craft this because questlines are awesome, I already have the Neeru package, and I have wanted suicide warlock to be viable ever since I opened my second Pit Lord years ago.
And that's one of the reasons why the mode is still in beta. It allowes them to change fundamental parts of the mode like the (permanent) 25% darkmoon prices chance and now this.
"One month into the expansion" also goes well with the Ve'nari bartender skin which comes out in the end of august accoarding the store description.
My main gripe with this card is that it can't be used with Shudderwock to stack up multiple healing/damage effects every turn since shudderwock would go dormant turning off the battlecry. Other than that it is pretty much like all of the other free set legendaries, unique, fun, but not terribly powerful.
I have already used this guy in a few decks and I love it. In control games, you get a long range heal. For damage games, you get 12 damage to your opponent's side of the board, for aggro, you get a 3/3 + a 2/2 with an ability. It's just good all around

I'm biased... but with all the self hurt that Warlock has, this will be all too easy to completed. Especially if you have that damned weapon to help reduce the cost of Blightborn Tamsin, it is really going to suck. It makes all the more sense now why Stealer of Souls was banned in Wild

Focused Study - Card Design Competition Discussion Thread
blizz hire me pls
New Priest Minion - Darkbishop Benedictus
I am so ready for this! I'm also really glad he costs 5, because this would be REALLY problematic with Genn Greymane.
New Paladin Weapon - Prismatic Jewel Kit
Nice utility, but not OP. I think it will have a hard time competing for the weapon spots in your deck, but it's good enough to try.
New Mage Spell - Fire Sale
"Fire" sale lol.
Really good card, though. Flexible and useful AOE.
New Hunter Spell - Ramming Mount
Pretty good card overall. I assume the summoned Ram also get immune while attacking.
New Neutral Minion - Flightmaster Dungar
I play a lot of control so this card looks really good, mostly for the healing.
Will try to find a spot for it in Control Warlock.
Hearthstone Patch 20.8 Hero Skin Voiceline Previews and Interactions for Ragnaros, Lady Katrana Prestor, and More!
*sigh* I am a sucker for Mage portraits... Fineee! Though.. I would love for Dragoncaller Allanna to be turned into a portrait.. one can only dream!
New Neutral Minion - Peasant

If I didn't already want Ragnaros, I definitely do now lol. Capt'n Rag'nar'os! :D
United in Stormwind is Hearthstone's Next Expansion - Live Reveal and Recap
So, combo decks will fill their decks with Tradeable cards so that they can find their combo faster by trading all the non-combo pieces?
Does trading a card count as shuffling a card into your deck for [Hearthstone Card (Augmented Elek) Not Found]?
Does it count as playing a card for triggering Combo effects or for Edwin VanCleef, Questing Adventurer, etc.?
Does it count as drawing a card for "when you draw"... effects?
Will it trigger "Cast when drawn" effects?

Big Swing Tavern Brawl Demon Hunter
Glad it worked. Il'gynoth was a throw in as the last card. While that would be a fun, memetastic way to win, a skull is a better choice, tbh. :)
In Hearthstone's Future 21.2 Patch, New Heroes Will Always Appear in Battleground Lobbies
yeah right, remember when he said spicy stuff was coming and lilipad lurker got a +1/+1 buff (it's good but not spicy kek)
New Warlock Spell - The Demon Seed

Hearthstone's Battlegrounds Gets a New Hero and Minion, Rebalancing, Future Minion and Tribe Overhaul
He was one of the original heroes, but got removed pretty early on. Probably for being to weak.

Arcanist Dawngrasp
firing off 3 arcane, frost, and fire spells to get this to trigger may be harder than it seems
Blightborn Tamsin
5 mana to ensure that you get 2 mana for a draw and damage your opponent is amazing
