    Hello, hello, hello!

Get Ready for the Boom! looks less dangerous, I'd go with that. Not sure if it necessarily needs art change, considering the usage for this art is Hero Power, but it may be good idea.

I definetely prefer shaman card, it's kinda cool. The other one is a bit more boring, and big minion synergising with small minions may not be realy good. Not sure about balance, if you plan to buff it I'd go with 3/5 or 2/6, or, eventualy, 3 Mana 2/4, though I feel like Shaman has too many 3-drops.

I prefer the Pyrotechnician that may hit face, but that may be personal preference, because both are properly made cards. When I think about it, I like Cthun more, but it may scare off some voters, so it may not be the better choice.

Looks ok to me, maybe a bit too narrow.

  • All Forged in the Barrens Mini-Set "Wailing Caverns" Card Reveals for June 1

I guess tomorrow's going to be a big day then since the mini-set's launching on Thursday.

Still this is just a frustrating amount of cards to reveal after a long weekend.

thanks for reaching out to Blizz

I reached out to Blizzard for comment and can confirm that card reveals are done for today.

Sorry, I assumed we were going to see more than this. I would have titled this differently if I knew.

Fangbound Druid is so good for me. Like holy shit. And it has taunt! Its fucken great. This is the card I wanted to see in the original set.

What i dont like seeing is they're giving combo disruption to the class that randomly generates bullshit every turn, all turn. Great.

Continuing the age old tradition of just tossing borderline game breaking stuff into Druid until it overflows and the entire class has to be nerfed again.

Why do they insist on making the Druid playstyle "stay alive while doing basically nothing for 5 turns and then win instantly".

It's not that hard to make Midrange Druid happen, just give me something tempo oriented I can play instead of Wild Growth.

Core set had the perfect oppertunity for that ,couldve had greedy sprite instead of wild growth if needed/they wanted even buffed it (like 3/2 instead of 3/1 or something)

The core honestly has alot of misser optertunities in what couldve been (like why are river crock and yeti there when printed a better river croc anyway in barrens) or not changing way the same style of effect is done (like ramp for druid on minion vs being a spell). Or being a cohesive set for some but not others and not buffing some cards when was the perfect chance for it)

Not to say that the meta is good or anything but statement like "this the worst meta ever" are to be taken with a grain of salt. One thing I noticed about card game communities is that they have a tendency to get hyperbolic any time they don't like something ( Yes I have been guilty of this myself).

There are many viable competitive decks beside Azir/Irelia ( Thresh Nasus, Shavana/A.Sol, Ez Draven, Overwhelm Shurima, Lissandra/Trundle) so the whole no deck diversity is nonsense. The problem is that these deck tend to hard counter one another so playing the ladder feels like a coin flip.

Oh and the most interesting thing is obviously the pirate part. Has anyone seen the pirate pool in standard? It's ONLY 2 MINIONS! Southsea Captain AND Circus Amalgam! This means 2 thing: You and your opponent are VERY likely to get a stealth minion, and were probably getting Pirate rogue support in the future! This is some nice foreshadowing if were actually getting more pirates in rogue!

    All pirates in standard

Whoops completely forgot it's ALL pirates! My bad! For some reason i thought it was only rogue/neutral ones.

Edit: Seems like i also forgot to actually click on the rogue picture, so it didn't show Rogue pirates either. My bad lol!

And basically random bad 1-drop for Wandmaker

On second thought, I don't think this card is bad at all. at some point, it's a good tech card.

pull this off wandmaker and pray to hit their illucia? idk why else u would want this or run it.

More hand distruption. If somehow it also benefits you it might be useable, but idk what type of rogue deck would be looking for stuff like this. I mean look at Shenanigans, that card has a ton of support with secrets, is similar to this and yet still sees zero play.

The thing about secrets is that it's too slow for todays meta. Paladin and Hunter are very strong early game, and when are you playing 2 mana do nothing? I wish Shenanigans was better, i really like it. (And Secret Rogue.)

The only good thing about Savory Deviate Delight is that it's a decent tech card, thats almost always a bad effect for your opponent. Still i do think it might not see much play in standard. Maybe in wild it ight see play considering there are plenty of decks like: most highlander decks, APM mage, Raza Priest and Big Priest that don't like to get their minions turned into absolute garbage. And Pirate/Kingsbane rogue also doesn't care that much about their own minions, so they MIGHT experiment with it.

Hmm this seems... interesting. On the one side it's Rogue, which is more of an aggro/midrange class. But on the other side if your playing some kind of slower rogue deck, maybe it makes sense? If you see a big treath you can Sap it, and *with some luck* get rid of it with Savory Deviate Delight. The only time i see this seeing play is if the meta SLOWS DOWN a lot, which is NEVER happening with all the powercreep FACE decks keep getting. (*Cries in Control Player)

(Completly messed up this part, apologies!)

The only deck in standard that MIGHT use it is of course Stealth Rogue, which probably won't mind getting an stealth minion and disrupting their opponent. Worst case scenario you get a pirate/amalgam, and you probably wont mind rerolling a Sneaky Delinquent token from the deathrattle into another minion and disrupting your opponent in the progress.

In wild it might see some play? Pirate/Kingsbane rogue might experiment with it, and worst case scenario it's a tech card against OTKs. This is an easier way of dealing with those OTK decks, considering Dirty Rat requires you to kill the minion immidiatly. Oh and it's probably also good against Raza Priest and Big Priest. Actually in wild it might be a pretty good tech card! And it's 1 mana, so maybe ODD Rogue might try it out? Probably not considering they just aim FACE.

Edit: As Tumbleweedovski mentioned to me, i completely forgot it's ALL pirates not just neutral/rogue ones. And i forgot to click on the rogue icon when looking up all the pirates, so i also messed that up. My bad! :)

  • New Druid Minion - Lady Anacondra

    ...

Honestly you might be right about Mutanus.

As of now, there is no way for Druid in Standard to do something else the turn they play Alignment (other than possibly spending 3 mana before playing Alignment). Meaning that whenever they do play it they are sure to pop off the next turn so it's almost guaranteed that Anacondra will be in their hand so Mutanus (who now costs 1) will be able to chomp her and hopefully give you enough of initial tempo to deal with whatever else they have to play in the coming turns.

Lightning Bloom will also cost 1 after Celestial Alignment.

  • New Rogue Spell - Savory Deviate Delight

Demonic Project isn't good, and I don't see how putting it in a class even less able to use it will be either. Unlike Dirty Rat and other disrupting minions that give you a card in play as well as the effect, this card does nothing but lose you card advantage.

  • New Druid Minion - Fangbound Druid

It's not good, but I really love it. The grindy taunt/beast druid deck can use this to discount hadronox in order to fit it in the same turn as all kinds of copying and deathrattle-triggering effects. I doubt it sees serious play, but it's definitely a fun card.

  • All Forged in the Barrens Mini-Set "Wailing Caverns" Card Reveals for June 1

I don't like how the 1 mana spell is so easily discoverable/gotten from Wand Maker.. Not that I think this will be strong, just that it will be unfun to play against

  • Diamond Cards We'd Love to See From Hearthstone's Year of the Kraken

    Quote From anchorm4n

Is it a certain fact that the diamond cards will be bound to owning cards of their expansion? I think there would be a lot of possibilities for more creative achievements, like owning all neutral Pirate cards for a diamond Patches instead of that bird that doesn't see play.

The bird sees play in quest rogue btu thats a tier 4 deck which is still an improvement comapred to eyars before where was actulyl useless.

  • New Druid Minion - Lady Anacondra

The combo with Celestial Alignment has been pointed out, but I think it might not be necessary. It is clearly incredibly strong, but I don't think it really adds anything when the deck is already very capable of generating enough mana to deal lethal anyway.  Druid has reached a critical mass where adding even more ways to get everything for free won't really improve the combo decks that much, meaning that even if this is as broken as it looks, it won't massively change winrates for combo druids.

  • The State of Wild Episode 47 - Dean Ayala Interview, Wild Diversity, Could Sorcerer’s Apprentice be Nerfed?

For unnerfs i still dont egtw why Extra arms wasnt unenrfed (if its its cause its buff reverrions as reaosn thats stupid IMO).

It woudnt harm or breka wild or anything and would just make the alreayd lot worse decks priest has  (aggro DR/innerfire) better but still wouldnt be a aa good  as big/Reno.

As I see it it would only give a priest a more viable option outside ress/Combo and give more variety to the class/potentialy the meta.

  • New Druid Minion - Deviate Dreadfang

    It should be obvious that this wasn't aiming for wild, but for posterity;

This card is at 8 mana, which means that anything you could do with this relating to spamming spells could instead be done with malygos and friends. Winning the game is a lot better than clearing the board.

  • Built To Scale - Card Design Competition Discussion Thread

Still deciding which stat line should I go with my cards. I was thinking about 4/4/4 for the Stitched Monstrosity, to make it more combinable with other cards and make a slight callback to Abomination. Not sure about the Maelstrom Harbringer (which I'll probably go with), however. 3/5 maybe? 3/6 seems too much.

Anyway, early feedback while I decide what to do.

    Nirast
I think I prefer Get Ready for the Boom!, purely because Exponential Explosion seems too dangerous. You should definetly change the artwork, though.

    anchorm4n
I agree with Demonxz95, Pyrotechnician is awesome. If anything, it seems too strong compared to Meteorologist, but I don't think that card is probably overcosted.

    Demonxz95
The effect is quite original and the flavor is pretty appropriate, which isn't easy considering how abstract it is. I think it lacks simplicity, however, but that might just be me.

    NebuchadnezzarHS
It's not that Japanese folklore would feel out of place in Hearthstone, it's the anime artstyle. Even art which is pretty close to Hearthstone like MTG tends to do worse in comps. If you want to go with this route, check out the Pandaren race (they have ninjas)
