This card will be polarizing because people will only remember when it blows them up. Really needs rush to be playable, since it's usually going to be a crappy 7 drop with no impact. Will be funny to get off of random effects, though, I suppose.
Probably not good enough for a Freeze Mage revival in Wild, yet once the other two mage cards are known, I'm heading into deckbuilding again. If these other two cards are also Frost oriented, and I wouldn't be surprised if they are, it might just work out.
Completely agree! Plenty of elementals as well that Shaman would like to run. And it doesn't necessarily need to be a straight up elemental Shaman. Running two Marshspawns and two Cagematch Custodians might be good enough already.
Dirty Rat is a common sight in Wild. The effect and the taunt keyword is what makes it such a great card, not so much its stats. Mutanus's effect is largely the same considering that eating the card is kind of like having taunt, but it's not like you can play this right before you AoE the board and it cost 5 mana more. That's a lot. Can't wait to try this out in a Reno Shaman alongside a Rat, but I expect it will be to slow.
For Standard I have good hope this can make an impact. Due to it's mana cost only slower decks can run this, but with chances to snipe an opponent's old god, Il'gynoth, Tickatus, or some other key card, I expect all slower decks to strongly consider running this card.
Demonxz95, I would change it to let you pick the totem each time instead of summoning a predetermined one. This would make it similar to Dwarven Sharpshooter or Fallen Hero in that it effectively upgrades your hero power, but then it goes away when it dies.
grumpymonk, I like the idea of making her cheaper and reducing the draw to 3 cards. The effect is cool, but she is probably too slow to be played.
anchorm4n, The card looks fine, I don't have much to say about it except that people may not like the idea of giving paladin another cheap minion that tutors something.
BasilAnguis, The first one is definitely better. The wording on the second one feels a little odd to read. Balance wise it is kinda bland, but the flavor it's super cool and that's mostly what matters for these competitions.
Fedrion, Your card doesn't work since it has 3 lines of text. Just say "Gain an empty mana crystal" to shorten the wording. I also think you could get away with making it a rare.
Arkasaur, I love it, but I agree that 3 mana is probably fair.
Wailor, It probably works better as a priest card with the time flavor. I think it's balanced at 4 mana, but if I am the minority then you can ignore me.
Linkblade91, I like it as a 3 mana 2/2, but I would rather it draw the lowest health or lowest attack to make it simpler.
Nirast, Boastful Assassin is an interesting concept, but hard to balance since the two keywords have anti-synergy with each other. Hibernating Rockbeast is a much cooler card, though I would make it a rare or maybe an epic.
Priest relies on Shadow Spells too much to reliably run this for the intended effect, but at the same time it's a very decent draw option that also synergizes with Raise Dead.
This in turn means that Priest now might have enough card draw to reconsider running C'thun, which they might have to once random generation becomes more and more inconsistent and stuff like Scorpid and Wandmaker no longer cuts it.
You cannot build a functioning Mage deck that runs mostly Frost spells, making this essentially a worse version of Arcanologist most of the time. Mage doesn't need draw that much and Frost Mage doesn't exist.
At best you run this in Hero Power Mage as an additional tutor so maybe you can run other spells alongside Wildfire, but that deck is bottom tier garbage and this certainly doesn't help.
Hey look, it's Tickatus 2.0...most likely to be similarly overrated.
Real talk, if you can spend 7-mana to maybe delete a relevant card from your opponent's hand then you're probably already winning. This only matters in Control vs Control matchups at which point we'd actually need a meta where Control decks are not only top tier but also so immensly greedy that pulling a random minion from their hand is a net positive most of the time and not just a huge waste of mana.
Most of thesee are usually played in decks with enough minions that you will never reliably pull them outside of specific situations. Only Clown, Liadrin and Rattlegore usually end up in situations where you get an obvious chance in which case most other available answers will usually do the trick anyways.
Unless there's some crazy way to duplicate the guy and just munch their entire hand I don't see this being anything beyond a meme.
He works as a counter to Taelan Fordring, especially if your opponent has a small hand. Kill Taelan to make them draw a strong minion, then eat the minion with Mutanus… would that work in real life?
It looks like “Dungeoneers” will be a sub-theme of this mini-set. That’s a change - the previous mini-sets introduced no new theme. Instead, their thing was to mix up themes from all three sets of the year. Since this is our first time getting a mini-set after set #1, I guess that wouldn’t have worked. I like this decision.

Mutanus the Devourer
This card will be polarizing because people will only remember when it blows them up. Really needs rush to be playable, since it's usually going to be a crappy 7 drop with no impact. Will be funny to get off of random effects, though, I suppose.
New Mage Minion - Frostweave Dungeoneer
Probably not good enough for a Freeze Mage revival in Wild, yet once the other two mage cards are known, I'm heading into deckbuilding again. If these other two cards are also Frost oriented, and I wouldn't be surprised if they are, it might just work out.
New Shaman Minion - Primal Dungeoneer

I wonder if every class will get a Dungeoneer or only the ones with specific Spell Schools.

I'll mention it here since they finally showed up on reddit. Hearthstone's Russian account posted a video with some new cards.

We're waiting on official translations since they shouldn't be too far away. At least that's what I said before lol.
New Neutral Minion - Mutanus the Devourer
Dirty Rat is a common sight in Wild. The effect and the taunt keyword is what makes it such a great card, not so much its stats. Mutanus's effect is largely the same considering that eating the card is kind of like having taunt, but it's not like you can play this right before you AoE the board and it cost 5 mana more. and Blizzard doesn'T like combo decks so this is on brand.
Anything that makes OTK decks suffer is good in my book. Work for your wins you lazy hippies goddamnit
New Priest Minion - Devout Dungeoneer
Priest relies on Shadow Spells too much to reliably run this for the intended effect, but at the same time it's a very decent draw option that also synergizes with Raise Dead.
This in turn means that Priest now might have enough card draw to reconsider running C'thun, which they might have to once random generation becomes more and more inconsistent and stuff like Scorpid and Wandmaker no longer cuts it.
New Mage Minion - Frostweave Dungeoneer
The worst dungeoneer revealed. Mage doesn't need that card.

Mana cheat is the new priest trait. And i hate it.

The problem with Mutanus is it doesn't do anything for Murloc Shaman. And it's a Murloc. Damn.
New Neutral Minion - Mutanus the Devourer
Hey look, it's Tickatus 2.0...most likely to be similarly overrated.
Real talk, if you can spend 7-mana to maybe delete a relevant card from your opponent's hand then you're probably already winning. The only cards in current decks that you would want to pull with this in a control deck (aka Warrior, Priest, or Warlock) are Lady Liadrin, Rattlegore, Tickatus, [Hearthstone Card (Y'shaarj the Defiler) Not Found], Troublemaker, Illidari Inquisitor and Carnival Clown.
Most of thesee are usually played in decks with enough minions that you will never reliably pull them outside of specific situations. I just need that murloc now
New Shaman Minion - Primal Dungeoneer
That's the card that shaman needs, control shaman lacks of card draw, and that is a tutor for 2 cards with a body attached.
5/5 even is not played.

Or delete him! That's what I'll be going for... if Warlock is ever part of the meta, I'm running Mutanus in every deck. Payback time... I hope...

Flashy card, but the meta actually lacks of combo minions, so looks bad.
