I always thought the blood elves had joined the Horde during Varian's kidnapping anyway. That's exactly the context of the World of Warcraft comics in which Valeera appears, which are set somewhere in the late Burning Crusade (BC) time period.
Those comics definitely ret-conned the timeline to begin with, by shifting Onyxia's death at the hands of players in Classic to death at the hands of Varian (alongside Valeera, Broll and Jaina) in BC. Despite being at odds with WoW Classic, they're still the canon version of events.
So I'm not entirely sure the timeline has actually been played around with for HS canon (at least not regarding the blood elves and draenei taking part). All it needs is to say the Year of the Gryphon is taking place in late BC, rather than forcing it into Classic and opening up a bunch of unnecessary inconsistencies (including Garrosh's presence, btw).
It's probably an underdog in those matchups (as you might expect from a budget deck) but it has legs. It's best to play against Lunacy Mage like it's a Control deck (mulligan for Ironclad, draw hard for Grom and buffs to finish them off). That matchup is winnable if they don't go crazy with Lunacy and Spring Water (and watch out for Devolving Missiles). Against Secret Pally, Minefield works really well to kill their Divine Shield minions, and we have enough cheap Rush minions and weapons to fight for the board early while hoping to explode late.
You should have Premium. I do think I know what's up though.

Velen, Prophet of Peace is a stalling minions so your opponent has to remove him if they want to attack. Even against token decks you can use him to limit them to essentially 5 board slot.
Temple of Y'Shaarj is meant to synergize with Y'Shaarj himself to create more Corrupt card.

@Linkblade: The card seem too swingy whether or not you get a good batch of cards every turn.
@Nirast: Both of them are way too specific while being not very powerful in the pay off.
@Anchorm4n: There's no way Demon Hunter will run Rag over something like Priestess of Fury since it doesn't do anything if it got killed. The Frost Watch Post is great and fitting with Mage flavor. Because Frost Nova isn't in the core set you can print this and not having it be degenerate.
@Karmin: Seem way too low impact for the cost and stat.
@Wailor: The 5 mana version is much more balanced and ready to go.
@CydonianKnight: What does duplicate card even mean? Do you need to already have the first copy in your hand?
@Demonxz95: Sheep Cannon is literally just a weaker version of Kolkar Pack Runner. Mini Ragnaros is way too swingy for such a low mana cost.
Isn't it much harder to consistently trigger the quest in Duels? Especially as decks get thicker later on. Not to mention getting it in the first place from a bucket.
They are giving it more attention than I'd expected with the removal of certain treasures, although still a long way to go. But if they keep that up...
It seems very consistent early in runs b/c the deck is so thin. It can certainly go bad with buckets that don't hit. The feelsbadman is real, though, and it makes zero sense to have reverted it all the way back to original form.
Also, as is evident by the delayed launch and the multitude of very strange bugs, it's quite obvious that they just didn't have as much time as they needed and it's very likely that playtesting suffered because of it.
I mean if you look at the history of first expansions for the year, they launched it quite early if you ask me, about 10 days on average earlier. (Earliest: April 2nd (Blackrock) | Latest: April 26 (Old Gods) | Median: April 6th - April 7th)
They absolutely could have given themselves a week of more time but for some reason, be it publisher or manager urging it, or an absolute belief that they were ready... They decided this should be the first expansion released in March since the games own release date in 2014
Oh no I don't mean that they released it too early, I'm saying it quite literally wasn't finished yet (for various reasons, some of which might be pandemic related) but they just couldn't push it back even more.

It's fun to see the HSR win rate of the various decks: Paladin is very high (56%), DH is below average and all the other have about 40% win rate or less ... with a 27% "peak" win rate for warriors :)
I'm very happy to see it return and early on in the expansion cycle. I understand them not wanting to do it the first week, but the second is an absolute must! IIRC one expansion we were 4 or 5 weeks in when the recipe brawl arrived and it was like, what's the point?
We only had a recipe brawl once last year so let's hope this is changing it up.
I'm not trying to suggest that aggro should dominate and control should lose - in fact, I strongly prefer midrange and control strategies. But I think you're reducing the question of archetype/class pair matchups down to archetype matchups, and losing some important details. The prototypical Mage approach to dealing with aggro is stalling until they can play big board clears. That was always the case with Ice Block, Frost Nova, etc., and it's no different now. That lack of cheap board control means they're inherently weaker against heavy aggro, and the loss of massive freeze has reigned in a lot of their unfair stall/combo kill playstyles.
So, should Control Mage vs. Aggro Druid be a bad match-up for Mage? Probably yes - Mage's toolkit is way better at playing control against midrange decks because they have single target frost spells and big AOEs. But that's okay in my mind, as there are other control classes that can go toe to toe with Aggro Druid more easily, and probably some midrange decks that can beat it easily. The goal of a healthy meta is to have lots of classes and archetypes beating up on lots of other classes and archetypes, and this specific match can be bad without having Mage be a bad class in the metagame. We just need a metagame with greater deck diversity to create some of that archetype balancing.

I dunno man, Far Watch Post on 2 feels like it wins the game against a deck that cares about early tempo.
Vulgar Homonculus was awesome and it was a 2/4 that you had to clear with a downside. Post is a 2/4 that you have to clear with an upside.
