I think questlines were an improvement compared to the original Un'Goro quests: by getting intermediate rewards, the end reward didn't have to be ridiculously strong to make the quest(line) worth playing. The DH questline was an extreme example of this, where the end reward didn't even get played in most games: it was the intermediate discounts that mattered.
In some cases though, like the Warlock and Warrior questlines, the end reward did have game-ending power and I think those would have been better if toned down a little. Ironically, while Priest's end reward was literally game-ending, it didn't feel as much of a problem, since surviving until the point you could use the reward was hard enough.
Like quests, questlines lead to decks that tend to play very similarly from game to game, so while initially they're fun, they can out-live their welcome. This could maybe have been mitigated if there had been balance changes sooner: by the time the Hunter and Warrior questlines got nerfed, I was already really sick of queuing into them.
A lot of the questlines don't have much of a board presence, which makes the game play quite uninteractive: while I enjoyed playing the DH questline myself, it's not very fun to sit there and watch an opponent draw and play a huge number of cards per turn. This is a problem with the specific questlines introduced in Stormwind rather than questlines as a mechanic, so I hope that if questlines come back, they will be more minion-centric.
Every card here sans Farm Hand (which, cuteness aside, looks like the worst of the bunch) can be played in Rainbow DK. Is Climactic Necrotic Explosion back on the menu? All that card was missing was a good way to spend Corpses in Rainbow.
It might be a little hard for them to go too crazy right now since they already have Anomalies live in all formats. But they could always exclude Twist from stuff like that to implement some wacky rules to the format. Perhaps future Twist iterations will do just that.
Since Excavate is looking to be pretty good, this card looks pretty good too. I think a lot of the treasures you can Excavate are fairly low cost (haven't looked at the list in a few days), so the discount might not be super impactful. Still seems pretty valuable.
Ooh, I like this card! Sure, it's just a 2/1 that maybe you can res a bunch of times. But it's such a coo concept, and in terms of value, maybe even pretty good! How many times will you be able to Excavate?
Taking an enemy minion can be a hugely powerful effect, but "random" makes this hard to use well. When there are only 2 enemy minions and you can choose, this gets pretty good. Heck, at only 3 health, you can probably kill it yourself if you really need to.
This is basically Possessifier without the body. Maybe slightly better since the summons are Undead. Maybe slightly worse as it needs a bit more board space. I think it's a good situational pick off Discover effects, probably not good enough to include in most decklists.

I think this card could actually be really good. It's healthy enough to survive and give you multiple health buffs. Even if it dies, you still got 5 corpses (no, 6) and your opponent had to expend resources getting rid of it.
I genuinely enjoy these types of cards, even though sometimes you get a raw deal. Yes, I've played plenty of evolve Shaman in my time. This card is comparable to Corpse Bride, except the value is harder to predict. Instead of just a vanilla 4/4 or 8/8 or whatever, you get a minion that might be way better, or might be a total whiff.
I love it! Great flavor, fun reference to Thing from the Addams family, and a pretty good card too! The pool of undead in Standard is pretty wide, but not so huge that this will lack consistency.
I'm pretty curious to where Rogue is going to stand after the nerfs honestly. Mech Rogue definitely seems like its going to benefit the most from these given the fact that none of their cards got touched, but Yogg was definitely one of the stronger cards in the secret/miracle lists solely from Shadowstep/Breakdance effectively giving you 1-4 extra copies. I'm having a bit of a hard time being able to justify what is more or less a value 9 drop in a deck that is usually trying to close out the game by turn 9, even if being able to rebuy it constantly could be helpful in matches that do end up going long. Like you said though, definitely think the Yogg nerf is more or less for the best, even though I will be upset that my turn 5, 6, and 7 mind controls aren't going to work anymore.

Should Questlines Return to Hearthstone? Looking Back at Stormwind's Demon Hunter, Hunter & Druid Quests

I read the text because it's rather amusing.
New Death Knight Minion - Maw and Paw
REALLY good target for Sinister Soulcage.
Has soft synergy with Climactic Necrotic Explosion, since it increases the value of the spell by 5 automatically if it goes off.
I think this also helps Arcanite Ripper and Screaming Banshee, too?
