  • All Showdown in the Badlands Day 6 Hearthstone Card Reveals - October 24

I don't care if it's going to be meta defining or not - I am compelled to craft Maw and Paw simply because it's an American Gothic homage/parody

It looks like someone on the Hearthstone team did not do their research when they named Maw and Paw.

The actual American Gothic painting doesn't depict a husband and wife. It's supposed to be a father and his daughter.

No, obviously they meant "maw" as in mouth and "paw" as in hand, because they're zombies and they are going to claw at and bite you. Duh.

Oh dear, DK is going multi rune again.

Will it work this time? BUU plague DK might make something, but thus far from what Im seeing its not looking good. They need an AoE option. Pray that they do get something of that sort.

  • Hearthstone Balance Patch Coming Thursday - Tony, Yogg-Saron & The Jailer Redesigned

Was there even a control priest back then that played benedictus at all? All priest post KotFT was pretty much raza priest, the only time Ive ever seen it in competitive is literally as a meme.

Maybe Im misremembering but there wasnt even a pure attrition control deck during that era, all the way until witchwood after all the DKs rotated. Only one that I remember, and that deck was crap as well, was controlock, before the kobolds set started.

This comprehensive list highlights the diverse range of support students need throughout their academic journey. Platforms like https://writinguniverse.com/essay-topics/ can also be a valuable resource, particularly when it comes to academic assistance. Addressing these various aspects of support ensures that students have the resources to thrive not only academically but also in their personal and professional lives. It's essential that educational institutions continue to adapt and expand their support systems to meet the evolving needs of their student communities.
  • Hearthstone Balance Patch Coming Thursday - Tony, Yogg-Saron & The Jailer Redesigned

Really like these nerfs even though my favorite decks are gonna get hit hard. The Tony re-work is just priceless and exactly what I wanted considering pirating is copying from another person. The flavor is now spot on. The Yogg re-work is a nice touch coz Yogg is all about random and the massive mana cheating was the main problem with him, not his abilities. The Jailer I don't care about coz I never owned him but I would say Immune is probably the most broken mechanic in the game so it's good they limited it to just the Jailer himself. Also as mentioned previously, it's good to future-proof such an obnoxious effect.

Overall, I'd imagine quite a big hit to Secret Hunter seeing as Prison Breaker is such a good board clear in that deck and I doubt Yogg will be used in the archetype anymore. Oh well, guess I'll be going back to Pure/Silver Hand Paladin now but I'd imagine Rogue will jump up a tier coz most of it's bad match ups have been dealt with.

Really like these re-works, even if they killed these cards. It was for the best.

  • Stormgate October Update - Alpha Test Recap, Infernal Host Faction, Rollback Netcode Success

If the Infernal Host runs anything like the Zerg, I'll be out of my depth playing it for the entire game's lifespan hehe!

I never really 'got' how to play Zerg because in the Heart of the Swarm campaign in SC2, even on high difficulties, I just needed Kerrigan to win the game lol

I'm thrilled about the upcoming Hearthstone sets! It's always exciting to see characters from the World of Warcraft lore making their way into the game. By the way, if you're a fan of WoW like me, you might also be interested in WoW arena boost services to level up your PvP game. Speaking of WoW, achieving the coveted wow gladiator title in the arena is a true mark of a skilled and dedicated player. Can't wait to see which legendary cards they introduce in the new year!

  • Stormgate October Update - Alpha Test Recap, Infernal Host Faction, Rollback Netcode Success

    There's a 3rd faction? 😱 Oh wow, now I'm really keen.

But I did read somewhere that the infernal host faction was based on the Starcraft Zerg faction and that was my main faction when I played SC frequently. But still keen to see all the units per faction.

  • Hearthstone Balance Patch Coming Thursday - Tony, Yogg-Saron & The Jailer Redesigned

I don't get why they nerfed Tony's Cost on top of its effect. Now he's basically Archbishop Benedictus, a card that was already bad when it came out six years ago...

Fact is, if you could do this effectively and consistently, wouldn't you rather just be playing Heartbreaker Hedanis instead?

One of the problems with Overheal as an archetype (and strategy in general) is a serious lack of payoff cards.

I dont think its lacking payoffs. Heartbreaker Hedanis and Heartthrob are actually pretty good, the latter especially. The main problem is that there isnt really a load of cheap heals to trigger them consistently and quickly enough.

And thats exactly what I think this card suffers from.

  • 6 Great Wild Decks in a Post-Un'Goro Buffs Hearthstone

The Jungle Giants deck really might be a mid tier contender :D I ran into one on ladder, got destroyed and found a new friend the other day. His version is running Topior and lots of Nature spells, Dew Process being among them so you draw into your free stuff faster after quest completion. Even Shaman and Seedlock were clear losses but if you run into anything slow it's a ton of fun.

  • Hearthstone Balance Patch Coming Thursday - Tony, Yogg-Saron & The Jailer Redesigned

Overall it certainly looks like Wild finally gets the much needed attention, even if those nerfs are mostly aimed at Standard.

    • Most importantly, the nerf to Yogg takes away the ability to deal with wide boards for free from Miracle Rogue and Questline Druid, which is something they shouldn't have been able to do in the first place.
    • Generally, I for one am happy to know that I no longer have to fear a random board clear out of nowhere from every class.
    • Reworked Tony might find his way into people's ETCs to protect them from Mill Druid.
    • The Rake nerf is another slap on the wrist of QL Druid - nothing serious, but maybe enough to allow other decks some breathing room. It certainly got harder to combo it with Moonlit Guidance to get an extra copy, for example.

That leaves us with only two decks that look problematic for me - Quest Mage and Mine Rogue. Both are incredibly frustrating to play against. Mage has the downside of being quite reliant on RNG to work out for them while Rogue luckily is pretty boring to play even when you're winning. Maybe that's enough to save us from those two dominating the meta, but I'd love to see them being adressed anyway.

Play both. Redundancy makes decks more consistent.

What methods are there of destroying cards in your hand, aside from Immolate?

I think it's a hint at an upcoming card of some sort.

    EDIT: Called it.

  • The Frostwolf Orcs of Alterac Valley: Traversing Azeroth

    That's right! Fun Games

  • New Neutral Minion - Tram Mechanic

What methods are there of destroying cards in your hand, aside from Immolate? Would it trigger if this died and you had a full hand?

  • New Priest Spell - Holy Springwater

Its a card you'll hate and hate alot to see when facing priest.

Bad enough that control priest is a pain in the arse to deal with, now youre giving them flexible healing options that heal for a ton, for very little mana.

One point of commentary. I dont think this card actually triggers overheal because the description clearly writes 'damaged character' which implies that it only fully heals something, not overheal it. The excess however is a different story. But it does quite demand that you heal something first, and if theres nothing to heal this card does nothing.

  • New Neutral Minion - Whelp Wrangler

I don't know. The whelps will be very easy to kill, but maybe if this is played early your opponent will be unable to kill this in the same turn, forcing them to deal with another whelp next turn.

  • New Priest Minion - Injured Hauler

At first I thought this card is overpowered.

Then I think to myself, how many times have anyone actually seen Heartbreaker Hedanis in the past 6 months. The answer being very, very few. I personally never seen this played against me, though I have played it myself.

The problem is that its actually pretty difficult to overheal past 4, which is what this card starts out with. Not to mention that its unlikely to ever do more than two AoEs at a time. And lastly, for each healing option you play on this card you're actually not healing your face, which can be big.

Fact is, if you could do this effectively and consistently, wouldn't you rather just be playing Heartbreaker Hedanis instead?
