  • Taliyah Champion Reveal and More Shurima Cards for Runeterra's Empires of the Ascended Expansion

    Reksai?

  • New Shurima Spell - Ancient Hourglass

    Possibly a staple Shurima card.

  • New Shurima Card - Rock Hopper

I like it, vulnerable is always strong so opponent will have to play around it. Synergy with both challenging units and landmarks.

    Defensive card.

  • New Shurima Champion - Taliyah

I can't predict if it's going to be strong, however that landmark archetype is something fresh and interesting - I'm going to have some fun testing it.

  • Taliyah Champion Reveal and More Shurima Cards for Runeterra's Empires of the Ascended Expansion

Landmarks may finally become their own archetype, not just small addition to some decks.

I think it won't work with The Rekindler as you obliterate an ally, not kill it. It would have to die later different way.

  • Hearthstone Mercenaries Interview Recap - More Information on Hearthstone's Upcoming Roguelike

Blizzard using STS as the reference point is more than enough justification for the community to do the same. Plus, there are still enough unknowns about Mercenaries that it's not worth worrying too much about what game it will be most similar to, and it's fine to focus on the known fact that Mercenaries will have features akin to those in STS that the existing HS game modes don't have.

Do we know timing on the Reveal Calendar, either for Core or Barrens?

  • The Landmark Payoff We All Deserve

Yeah I know right. Although I bet someone is gonna try rockbear arena...and it will be bad 😅

Right, but I'm not just talking about dev comments about their inspiration. Fansites, news pieces and comments keep acting like the two games are similar, but they are really, really not.

Am I the only one that is sorta feeling like they might be a little too liberal with the burst speed?

Buffs at slow speed do not work at all and gem speed buffs are usually mediocre.

So yeah better release buffs at burst speed so that they actually get played

I was really hoping for a UI announcement at BlizzCon. Blizzard games have typically had exceptional UI, but what was wobbly with the release of Battlegrounds completely broke with the addition of Duels, achievements, and the rewards track. Mercenaries makes that Modes screen even more crowded, and do Solo Adventures and Tavern Brawl need to be so front and center? It's past time for the wooden box to be updated and redesigned.

I also want to see some better incentives to get more players participating in Arena and Duels, and I'd be fine with the retirement of Tavern Brawl. Tavern Brawl really only functions to give a boost to players with a weekly pack and a low-pressure mode to complete quests. I'd rather have those time-investment incentives put into Arena and Duels which thrive on a large player base to work. I hope the Mercenaries PvP isn't an afterthought either, which will require its own incentives to get many players participating. The new game modes (and Arena) are great. I want them properly supported.

Sorry id NOT be fine with Tavern brawl removal at all. I love brawl,i lvoe the thigns thta happens there that cant and shoudlnt in normal HS.
ANd i do not like arena or Duels AT ALL and id rather have a Mode removed at all for ANy reason.

  • Is Targon Ruining Your Enjoyment Of The Game?

I don't really feel like Spell Shield is an issue in itself. I just feel like it mixed with elusive is really obnoxious since it blocks out any way to interact with that minion at all. Blocking is cut off and you either can't target it with a spell or you need to have a spell you can throw away. If you aren't playing Targon yourself you usually aren't generating targeted spells all over the place so you need a fair amount of luck to have something on hand to fix the issue.

  • Lord Jaraxxus Will Celebrate a Comeback in Hearthstone's New Core Set as a Proper Hero Card

    Quote From Me0203

That would make him a better card, yes, but it would also make him a different card. The fantasy of playing Jaraxxus involves risk. You can put out game-winning pressure... but if you can't keep it consistently, you die.

If they're going to remove the health limitation (or at the least not even reference it in a new ability) they might as well rename him.

Imo the risk isnt a core design of jarraxus and in modern Hs that just doesnt work at all. ANd if  keep his hp he is never ever gonna be usefull in modern HS at all. Its prolly the biggest reaosn he never sees any play and hasnt for YEARS

and id rather have jaraxus be actual something can atleats ever at all CONSIDER then forever useless becasue hp cap.

    Quote From h0lysatan

    My thought on New Jaraxxus.

    Hero would be the same,
    Cost 9 with +5 armor,
Battlecry: "Deal 2 damage to all minions, if they died, summon a random demon"
Hero Power, Summon 2/2 Infernal Beast with rush.
    No weapon.

    Why would you NERF jaraxus

  • Lord Jaraxxus Will Celebrate a Comeback in Hearthstone's New Core Set as a Proper Hero Card

    Quote From KANSAS

I would like the weapon and hero power to be the same. The problem is that he is 9 mana which takes up your whole turn, and the 15 health is simply too low. Making him 8 mana and getting 20 health instead of 15 would probably be enough for him to be playable. But I imagine they are going to make bigger changes than that.

set hp 15 (and 5armor) But CAP STAYS 30. If not he is still gonna be utter trash otherwise. 15 or even 20 max hp is just to little, espcially if just spend entire turn just getting  a 3 attack weapon.

  • Lord Jaraxxus Will Celebrate a Comeback in Hearthstone's New Core Set as a Proper Hero Card

    Quote From SLima

Even if they remove the health cap or just make him a regular +5 armor hero card, this won't be enough to make him competitive imo. He will become playable which is a very good thing but competing is a completely different story. Late game Warlock strategies are suffering a lot nowadays because of the constant self-damage from the hero power and all the burn and aggro power creep. It's really hard to survive to play such late game cards. Simply getting a weapon and a new hero power isn't enough to help you stabilize against all the burn being thrown at your face constantly. They need to re-evaluate the state of the class as a whole imo. A change to the base hero power, better healing cards or something else. But something needs to be done in order to help Warlock actually live long enough to play Lord J.

if  make him 8mana and not cap hp (but gain 5armor) he is standard has atleast some chance of ever being usefull at all. aslong his hp is capped, never will be.

  • New Shurima Card - Desert Naturalist

Well I said that she was solid not great,  you are however wrong about landmark removals being bad in non landmark match ups... Some of them are bad even in landmark match ups.

  • New Shurima Spell - Stoneweaving

Paying 1 extra to always have a fitting card to play in your hand? There is hardly a deck that would say no to this card concept... (unless the set of landmarks is terrible)

  • New Shurima Card - Sai Scout

It's decent. That it forces you to pick a landcard in order to not get a 2/4 vanilla makes this card pretty meh and definetely worse than the 2 mana 2/3 with predict but still its a decent card

  • New Shurima Landmark - Hibernating Rockbear

Meh the idea of frontloading you board is cool and certainly strong against slower deck. Against aggro however...

I don't think we will see this card a lot

  • New Shurima Landmark - Salt Spire

It's a card that resolves around salt so no question: It's an easy 5/5 meme-meta defining card!

  • New Shurima Card - Rock Hopper

This is really strong for 2 mana... i mean progress taliah 1 deploy a 3/1 and give the next enemy unit vulnerable permanently? Very Strong card for Renekton and Taliyah decks

  • New Shurima Spell - Unraveled Earth

This is a borderline op card. Like... give the next 2 enemy units summoned vulnerable draw 1 and progress taliah 2?!  I have the feeling that Taliyah will almost always be leveled on turn 5 and given how big of a deal that is for shurima... yeah that card and Taliah will proably a central part for strategies of shurima decks.
