Okay, I´ve found another one, good for people who doesn´t open/want to craft the new Yogg-Saron legendary. I´ve managed to complete the achievement "Wheel of Misfortune" by playing Casual Duels with mage when I was offered a loot with the new Yogg (I even ended up with two of them by the end of the run).
The only payoff to holding and corrupting this multiple times is more stats on a single body that is very susceptible to single target removal. Sure, you could give it rush with Animated Broomstick, but Horrendous Growth takes so much longer to become a good rush target when compared to similar uses with Argent Braggart. Overall, this is just too slow for such a minimal payoff.
Hi there, looks like I´m on the same road as you, lvl 17 with the boost. I´m affraid the path will be harder and harder everytime, since higher levels will need 3000-9000 XP and that will be a hard work to achieve imo. I´m looking forward to yesterday´s 3 weekly quests, because 1 daily quest a day is nothing, more so on higher levels. Let´s see how it turns out later.
I run two f2p accounts one is level 15 the other is level 16, and from there my progress has hit a brick wall. Nothing i do nets me experience. the quests i have all orbit around playing ranked ladder. Something i HATE doing. And i will not do just because it tells me to. Mostly i have been playing a lot of battlegrounds to get those hero specific achievements. I have gotten a new hero almost every time, and i usually get top 4(sometimes luckier, but never first) so it has been a grind for those as well. I have only had to concede when not getting a new hero once, and i only did it because someone else was playing mister bigglesworth and since that hero is trash, i bought a Vulgar Homunculus and conceded, to brighten their day, hopefully they won, but they probably didn't.
Swindle draws a spell (not a minion) without its combo effect. A small mistake but still, the card is very different from Elven Minstrel and I would argue that it's better in most situations.
I wouldn't worry too much yet, since we know we're going to have an additional mini-set continuing the theme. I'm assuming that at least some of those characters will make it into the cards. If they do, I'll make sure to edit them into this guide. If they don't, great inspiration for the custom card competitions. :)
Hi, we are now 3 days into the new progression system and I am wondering what your current progress on the new rewards track and your overall experience is.
I play about 1 or 2 hours a day, finished all daily and weekly quests (with the 15% XP bonus boost) and I have reached level 17. My first impressions are:
- I only play ranked now since it rewards more XP
- The rewards track feels like a drag, because the progress has halted compared against the start
- The urge to win has become almost non-existent, because losing still rewards XP
- The rewards track has altered the way I play and I am not sure if this a positive change or not
- Hearthstone has become even more expensive than it already was
Calculations aside, I wonder at which level I will end up on the rewards track and if indeed it is going to fulfill Blizzard's promise of equal or more 'gold' acquired before the next expansion hits.
I have not been playing any ladder since Battlerounds was released, but I have bought 80+ packs the last expansions to keep up. I am reluctant to craft a deck before an expansion to not waste dust. I might play some ranked wild as I have been playing since Ungoro, and I have the adventurers and a few card packs from the expansions before it.
But it would be nice if they just added a few more win 7 game 2500 experience quests in diffrent modes.
I'm sad that so many of these iconic games and characters were simply left out. All WoW players remember battling against Moonfang and Death Metal Knight, the world bosses. Or that undead lady selling orc meat and Inky Black Potions. Or the other ETC members. As much as I like Yrel and Lothraxion, I don't understand why would Blizzard put them into this expansion instead of any of the characters or games listed in this article. That brawler Shaman legendary, whose name I completely forgot, has no background or story whatsoever. Korgol Crushskull would have been a thematically fitting and already well-known character in her place.
This makes it seem like this expansion is made of design and art leftovers.
Well, I was really lucky this time around. I had 90 packs (85 normal + 5 golden).
I started with the golden packs and the very first one gave me golden C'Thun, the Shattered along with a rare and epic. Soo happy! :) My best pack ever. Here´s the proof:
I've had almost the same luck as you, OP...I opened 5 golden packs, 83 normal packs, and I got none of the legendaries I wanted. At least I got one from the 5 golden packs, but it's probably gonna be unplayable (oh well, free dust).
Just looking at that list again pisses me off, I knew I shouldn't have bought the mega bundle. I always get shafted with the pity timer whenever I buy it, for some reason...
I did get an inordinate number of copies of Bladed Lady, so here's to hoping it becomes busted so I'll have lots to dust :P
Wooooo I made legend for the third time today! With good ol' Galakrond Bomb Warrior, probably my favorite deck of all time. I toiled away for like half the day, getting stuck at 2 stars in Diamond 1 for the longest time, alternating wins and losses, until I finally cleared the hurdle against two Libroom Paladins (supposedly the deck's weakness, but whatever).
Now that the new expansion's just around the corner, I'll just screw around with all kinds of decks for the remainder of the season.
I created a deck, but when I go to play I keep getting a deck-related error message. I haven't been able to play a single game, so I can't even retire the deck and restart.
Oh that's fair enough (and kinda scummy to hide it behind that steep condition). Still, it's fairly unusual for no a single site to even mention that there is new content in a brand new mode.
The backlash of the new system took place instead.
Hmm.. I tracked as well and got a bit over 400 and hour in wild and standard. (even minus the bonus for purchasing the package). Not sure what the difference was.
I think the XP system is based on the character XP system. So you make sure you play all the cards you can if you are loosing. Stay as long as you can. This seemed to help. Also, games that lasted past turn 7 seemed to yield more xp.
Respect yo deck, mane! I just changed the hero power to that flower power thang to get my Thun boi rolling quick like. I realize you made the deck before that was available, but just wanted to note.
After the dust of card dump has settled - what cards to look at?
To answer my own thread. After I watched some videos I found out that the 6/3 Mech ewith Rush seems pretty good.
Our Thoughts on Hearthstone's Madness at the Darkmoon Faire Rogue Cards
What do you mean? I definitely didn't confuse Ticket Master with Fal'dorei Strider, that would be silly of me!
You're right of course, my mistake XD I should've caught that when I was writing the joke for it, too.
Our Thoughts on Hearthstone's Madness at the Darkmoon Faire Rogue Cards
Honestly I didn't even realize Ticket Master's effect was a Deathrattle until you pointed out.
Understandable mistake to make considering Fal'dorei Strider.

I would probably put Revolve right above the carousel picture, you used for "Other Attractions" as well, since they go really well together

New Aggro DH
Did you consider Acrobatics? In theory it should be better than Skull of Gul'dan since most of the cards cost 1 or 2 mana already.
New Neutral Minion - Horrendous Growth

Also, I don't see how Tenwu of the Red Smoke can duplicate Ticket Master's plush bears since its effect is a deathrattle ?
A Tour of the Darkmoon Faire: Traversing Azeroth
I have written up a guide about the old gods already, but I'll be adding onto it very soon with the new cards we have in the Darkmoon Faire set.

Nice article. Love too see this posts. Hope that we will have one about Nyalotha. There's some reference to there in some cards.

Why do they need to make the system really complex in the first place ?
Pack Opening Results

I started with the golden packs and the very first one gave me golden C'Thun, the Shattered along with a rare and epic. Soo happy! :) My best pack ever. Here´s the proof:
From my normal pack opening, I´ve opened 52 packs (kept 33 for the release day), which gave me N'Zoth, God of the Deep (pack n.5), The Nameless One (pack n.7), Maxima Blastenheimer (pack n.46 - this one got my nerves) and Tickatus (pack n.47).
So after opening 57 card packs I got 5 legendaries, 11 epics (1 golden) and all of the rares and commons. Pretty neat.
Wish luck to all of you who didn´t open yet ♡

So 10 lines of changes and not one of them actually impactful or just too vague to mean anything ?
Is Duels broken for anyone else?
I created a deck, but when I go to play I keep getting a deck-related error message. I haven't been able to play a single game, so I can't even retire the deck and restart.
Is nobody gonna talk about the new treasures??
