    Some early feedback:

    Show Spoiler

Pokeniner - So if you heal for 10 damage combined, you deal 10 damage to all enemy minions? Seems powerful on paper, but I wonder if it might actually be too weak: the odds of it being a true board-clear are low, considering you need multiple heavily-damaged minions to get that output up. Doesn't seem realistic *shrugs*

KANSAS - I understand what you're trying to do, but I'm not a fan of Reign of Fire summoning minions from two different sets, from different Years. At some point, one or both of the cards will be in Wild while Reign of Fire is still in Standard. The N'Zoth box is okay, although it doesn't really fit the Priest's Uldum set and it's harping on the Yoggbox.

Wailor - Demonxz95 and I were talking about a similar idea on Discord. Adding in the full-heal makes the card powerful, especially compared to Tree of Life or Nozari. I think Bastion would be rather frustrating to deal with unless you're Aggro and capable of ending the game super fast.

Demonxz95 - Chamber of Traps is interesting, but I think it would be a real pain to play against in practice. There's also already a 10-mana Mage spell in the Uldum set. Burning Legion is fine, but I don't find it super interesting.

  • Landmarks Could be Healthier

Landmarks remind me of an early online card game I used to play that had a similar unit to landmarks.

In Might and Magic: Duel of Champions they had special ongoing effects you can play.  They were destroyable, (far easier than landmarks are) but they provided tangible long term buffs like (all units have +1/+1).  You could even have two of them in play at the same time (so for certain races, you could get +2/+2 to all units).

I don't know how I feel about landmarks because honestly,  the only one that seems broken is Star Spring.  The others don't really have "when X happens, you win".  But for some reason star spring does.  I feel like star spring just needs to have it's alternate win condition removed, and then slightly buffed.

Perhaps here is how it could go:

At the end of the round heal all units by one.   If all units are already at full health, give the highest and lowest cost unit +1 health instead.

This way it's encouraging you to stack health, which invariably is a good strategy with soraka.  And feeds into your win condition of being able to outheal/outlast your opponent, without straight up giving you "when X amount is healed, you win". Which to me feels cheap, and honestly doesn't match up with the rest of the landmarks.

Edit: I thought of a second card:

    • Chains of Kel'Thuzad is based on his ability of the same name, both in the Naxx raid and in Heroes of the Storm.
    • Convergence of Wisps is based on the climax of Warcraft III, when Malfurion blew the Horn of Cenarius and thousands of wisps mana-detonated Archimonde to death.
      • I could make it a Legendary, if that would help balance the idea.

I really like Convergence of Wisps. My only suggestion is make it legendary - all insta win cards, such as Mecha'Thun and Uther should be legendary, and this is no exception. A better card text (imo) for the first half would be "Destroy all your mana crystals", or "Transform all of your mana crystals into wisps".

Thought of a crazy Priest clear that focuses on your being very timely with your trading.

Thoughts? I'm looking it over and from how it seems, it might be too strong, but it's a very setup board clear condition with a major payoff.
(Also to clarify, all healed damage is totaled to to the damage dealt.)

  • Tom Kench is OP!

Acquired taste reads: "Tahm Kench swallows an enemy unit. It strikes him, then he Captures it." The enemy unit strikes him, then he swallows the enemy (if he survives).

  • Tom Kench is OP!

Some archetypes, you mean any deck that isn't aggro or running culling strike, reckoning, and vengeance, right? Even then, successfully playing reckoning can be tricky if the TK is in play. Vengence is a 7 for 4 and they prob have a Bastion in hand you won't be able to bait out because any somewhat smart player would save it for TK. Good luck saving your units before he devours them. His ability is too cheap at 2 mana, period.

*edit* decided to go with a different card instead.

Some support for Beast Druid that allows you to play smaller beasts, as long as they have a good effect. I may end up changing the stats to 12 instead of 10, and I also might have it pull from your deck instead of hand. Also, I will adjust the text some so that the '10' isn't on it's own line.

  • Intense Magic - Card Design Competition Discussion Thread

Here's my first idea. Not sure if it's too overkill.

I'll give feedback tomorrow. I might post more cards, if I come up with something else.

  • [Game] Card Treasure Hunt (The Resurrection Attempt)

    Incorrect

  • Kamikaze the Dead

I like it; it's a nice update on an old archetype. The only change I would make is squeezing in 1-2x Citrus Courier, possibly in the Fading Memories slot.

  • Landmarks Could be Healthier

    Do you like Landmarks?

    I don't.

    It's not about Powerlevel.

Low_Interactivity-Infinite_Value is not fun because in slower matches one player may not draw theirs and that leads to many NonGames.

I think Landmarks would be more fun if they naturally Crumble in 4 turns. (self-destruct)

Targon's Star Spring Landmark could be changed to:

Round End: Heal damaged allies 1. When I crumble give allies +3/+0.

Bilgewater's The Slaughter Docks could be change to:

Round Start: Toss 1. When I crumble summon a Sea Monster.

Some things to keep in mind about making a 10-Cost spell is how each class gets to 10 mana and uses that. For example, 10-Costs are obviously very different for Priest than they would be for Hunter for instance. Druids can ramp to get to 10 mana (which is part of why Ultimate Infestation was broken). Some classes can of course also use Kael'thas Sunstrider much more effectively than others. A self-cost reduction effect might also be really useful to expand design space.

With that said, here are my first two ideas.

The tokens of Burning Legion are all vanillas.

      • Edited it to Legendary rarity, and changed the first sentence as-per Ilphelkiir's suggestion.

    Competition Theme: Intense Magic

It's time we started casting some real spells around here!

    • You must create a 10-mana spell
      • Your spell must simply cost 10 mana - there's only 10 in the game right now, so plenty of room to get creative

Arkasaur is interested in exploring the most explosive spells this week - so hunker down and prepare for some chaos!

As always, I can be reached through Discord or here on the site via PM if you have any issues to report.

    That's a nice promo.

The art for Protection and Company are both adorable too.

  • how Tahm Kench works?

1.) You have a Tahm Kench on board at the start of a round; he generates 1x fleeting An Acquired Taste

2.) You play that An Acquired Taste on an enemy unit

2a.) First half of Taste: that unit strikes your Tahm Kench

2b.) Second half of Taste: if TK survives, that unit is detained

3.) If TK levels or L2 TK attacks: the detained unit is permanently obliterated. Otherwise, it will return instantly if TK is killed, obliterated, or recalled.

Smart opponents will take advantage of 2a and use that opportunity to either damage TK or buff their unit's attack such that TK doesn't survive for 2b. It is good to try to keep some buffs in hand so you can boost your TK's health and/or heal him up. This is part of what makes TK + Soraka such a powerful pair.

Just wanted to mention a control counter to some of these climbing decks as well ;)

    https://outof.cards/hearthstone/decks/19848-aggro-blaster-control-shammy

This one worked really well for me over the past week, and who doesn't love racking up some wins with a misfit like Shaman?

Don't know if I'd classify shaman as a misfit except for first 2 years of hearthstone when shaman was considered super bad.  Once they got overload synergy and overcosted overload minions (4 mana 7/7) they haven't really been a meme.

I agree with you when looking at the overall lifespan of Shaman. I was just talking about the current meta within Standard. They are quite low tier, but I also think they are being overlooked, particularly on the control side.

    Two questions regarding the stream:

    1) When will it start? The announcement mentions two times within half an hour of each hour. My best guess is that the first one is when the "waiting screen" appears and card pack drops via twitch are already possible, while the second one marks the start of the actual content.

Your guess should be correct, at least that's what I'm expecting.

  • how Tahm Kench works?

I'm not entirely sure what you mean. If the two fought do you mean like Single Combat ? If you do then that would be a bug, but it would be one that is in your favour since Tahm Kench is only meant to take the damage of the enemy minion. Then if he survives said damage he captures the unit that struck him.

  • Total War CCG

Just found out yesterday about a card game in beta based on the Total War franchise. Has anyone tried it yet? Seems to copy a lot of things from HS with some new twists in gameplay also inspired by the front and backline from Gwent. Still looks rough around the edges tho.

Havent had the time for it yet. Anybody else?
