Wow ... compared to the other symphony-like cards, Mage is getting the short end of the stick ... Discover-able value, sure, but far from a win-con on its own ... kinda "mhe"
When your music is instrumental, it doesn't matter if the words make no sense.
Technically its 'working as intended' since those cards read '1 more armor/attack', meaning that its an upgrade not a grant. But these are splitting hairs, the point is that team5 coded it to only work with armor/attack regardless of how unintuitive the wording may be.
But yeah, that combo is pretty much broken and will likely be fixed within the month.
I do like how it doesn't restrict what kind of card it will draw, other than their cost, which makes tutoring a tad easier to predict. This will definitely be abused.
I don't think it is that good, for it is very slow, but that the same time, I much rather for Team 5 to give sub-par new tools to DK, as the overall power level of their tool box and way above most other classes, so there is that comforting aspect to having a new legendary minion be just "okay".
Isn't Cage Head already taken by Nicolas Cage' fan club? ^^
You get your head stuck in a cage ONCE, and all of a sudden you've got a new nickname.
I like the flexible usefulness of it, but dreads how slow it is and how much of a waste of tempo it represents on the turn it is played; to truly get benefit from it, you need to be slightly behind, and if you were losing the board, this isn't going to reverse the tides ...
Like the artwork. She is the hero of the guitar. The guitar hero. Trademark.
Definitely a broken interaction. I encountered 4 Drek'Thars with this comb from 5-9 wins. Although I won 3 of these it seems disputable for a 5-6 win deck to OTK turn 6 and hadn'T I had taunts en masse for a single heropower to do 30 dmg turn 6 :/
I also don't get why the new Beasts (Groovy Cat and the 1/2) read 'Your Hero Power gains+1' as this is not what they do (plus they have different wording albeit their effect being the same). If read by description the effect should be that your HP gives you an additional +1 attack/health.
At least to me it seems, they neither thought through the wording nor the interactions in several formats (as the 1/2 also doesn't give you armor if your HP didn't already. Though it states otherwise...)
Just ignore the post above. I won't be participating on a regular basis anymore since I'm too competitive to fully focus on the creative process and ignore the results of the competitions. While I don't mind losing in general, I just don't have fun when I get the feeling I have no chance at winning at all. And that has been the case for quite a while now, no matter the reasons for it. Thanks again for organising these to the staff and also thanks to the great community in the discussion threads! I've always felt welcome and appreciated there. gl & hf everybody!
I expect more Death Knight nerfs. I don't think Construct Quarter was that important for them, but it had no runes and I suspect they are reluctant to nerf the two or three rune cards. Death Knight's biggest crime may be using few cards from Festival of Legends.
New Death Knight Minion - Screaming Banshee
New Mage Spell - Infinitize the Maxitude

New Mage Minion - Holotechnician
Shooting Star and good ol' HP ping came to mind!
Ironically, operating the spotlight comes with very little recognition.
New Mage Weapon - Cosmic Keyboard
Could be a fun addition to the Big Spell Mage package, could see this being used to gain a bit of board presence with no loss of tempo whatsoever.

New Hunter Minion - Thornmantle Musician
Kinda cute, but also kinda un-significant ... doubt this will shape up the meta
She calls the hyena her "little chef". Not sure what that's about.
New Hunter Minion - Harmonica Soloist
Discover + Cast a secret, with a decent body for cost too; kinda threatening!
A magician never reveals their Secrets. A musician on the other hand...
New Druid Minion - Summer Flowerchild
I do like how it doesn't restrict what kind of card it will draw, other than their cost, which makes tutoring a tad easier to predict. This will definitely be abused.
New Death Knight Minion - Boneshredder
They are very subtle in their push for that Blight Boar to be a thing ..!
Is that his makeup or just his natural fur pattern?
New Death Knight Minion - Cage Head

New Death Knight Minion - Death Metal Knight
He prefers listening to bands dead rather than live.
New Death Knight Weapon - Arcanite Ripper
When I first read that card's name, I thought it was a mistake as it sounded so similar/familiar to a certain warrior's OG card: Arcanite Reaper
A guitar with a skull - perfect for headbanging.
New Death Knight Spell - Harmonic Metal
I have bashed together plenty of pieces of metal in my day and not ONCE has it sounded harmonic.
New Death Knight Spell - Climactic Necrotic Explosion
My interest was suddenly nipped in the bud by the realization it is a rainbow DK cards ... Is that really the pay-off for diluting your decklist?
The less legible the band's logo, the more hardcore it is.
New Death Knight Location - Mosh Pit
This is sooooooooo going to be abused with that Blight Boar from Cage Head
Let the Corpses hit the floor!
New Death Knight Minion - Hardcore Cultist
Consecration on a frail stick - but consecration at a discount too ..!
Thumb in = devil horns. Thumb out = I love you. A VERY important distinction when you're at a metal concert.
New Demon Hunter Minion - Guitar Soloist

New Demon Hunter Spell - Taste of Chaos
The discovering piece makes it somewhat decent. 2 dmg for only (1) mana also mean cheap early removal!
It's spicy!
New Paladin Minion - Lead Dancer
"Follow my lead!" *dies*
A true born leader ... whom most likely won't see much play!
New Rogue Minion - Rhyme Spinner
Kinda seems un-inspired in terms of design - pretty generic - but who knows, it might see play
Blizzard Nerfs Three Death Knight, Demon Hunter, & Paladin Cards in Surprise Hearthstone Patch
You kinda forgot to mention all the Battlegrounds changes there.

Undead Priest
it was a standard deck when I posted it
