Echo wrote "I don't see this deck doing well considering it is so focused on doing one thing", but I actually think that the deck that might break the game will be more degenerate than this, focusing entirely on the early turns and not even playing ramp + Mountseller.
I have faith in blood herald, a token heavy demon hunter might work there is a lot of support for it, I am definetly gonna try it, demon hunter got a lot of draw so maybe..
I am really hopping that archetype works cause I like token decks (except druid, which is bs)
But it would have been a better option for Control Warlock (which I also don't remember really existing at that time anymore) because Project could just miss while Contract was far more likely to hit an essential combo piece.
Either way it was way too slow and useless in most other matchups
Final count: 35 of the 135 cards released feature some type of analog information repository (also known as a 'book', but it's fun to call nerds A.I.R.heads) in their art. About 25%. Things you didn't need to know!
Blood Herald seems to be the typical "low-tier" card that in at least one game your opponent plays it and is stuck in board until he kills you with it.
Been feeling like arena is slowly dying all around with it being super unbalanced and totally forgotten not just in news but also lack of leaderboards and such. So seeing some love from anywhere right now just makes me really happy and i'm stoked to have a new column just for arena.
It does have a crafting system. There's no DE system but you earn wildcards either from packs or slowly from opening packs. I've spent about 30$ total on the game since I started playing a few months ago and have some pretty competitive decks.
Down points for the game are the expensive land cards, which are needed for top tier decks but aren't terribly exciting to spend your craft budget on.
Up points for the fact that crafting a card lets me use it in countless decks. If I made a priest card in HS I can only play it in priest decks. This makes my cards feel like they are a little more valuable.
All in all the whole system feels a lot less predatory than the paper version since you never have to get into bidding wars for cards. The gold system is fairly quick to build up packs and if you invest in a mastery pass you get a good flow of rewards for continued play.
My last down point is in the short time I was playing the ban system can really destroy decks. For instance my mono-black sac deck was really ripped apart by the ban of the Cauldron Familiar. It's still playable but I crafted a pretty good amount of cards for that deck and was refunded very little.
HS is more economical if you are completionist but you can cheaply play MTG too. Especially if you jump in during a new expansion and buy a mastery pass, great value. If you complete the mastery levels and watch the shop you should never need to spend that much cash again to have enough gems to purchase the pass for the next season.
Sure, if you build one or two top competetive decks, you can achieve it (but still only one or two).
But if you want to explore the game and play wacky decks, you cannot do it, because the cards are extremely expensive and also you will meet only very competetive decks as people mostly do not have resources to put together fun ones.
So yes, if you play netdecks only and it suits you, MTGA is fine, if you want to explore the game deeper, you cannot.
In paper magic you can get the "bad" cards extremely cheap, in MTGA a very bad mythic costs you the same as the very best.
Before we dive in, we've got some important timing info on the next few patches. As we just announced over on the Riot Games site, Riot's taking the week of August 10th off to disconnect, recharge, and reboot. To make sure we're not just shifting more work onto people in the following weeks, we're adjusting timelines for the next few LoR patches.
Patch 1.7 will go live normally tomorrow, but will last an extra week (so three weeks in total rather than the usual two) before we update again.
Patch 1.8 will go live August 26 (rather than August 19), and will also last for three weeks. 1.8 will contain a couple minor card changes but won't be a full-fledged balance patch, though it may feature a few other things…
Patch 1.10 (yes, we're skipping 1.9) will land on September 16, and will contain our next significant round of balance updates. This patch will last the usual two weeks and resume our normal update cadence.
This patch-note fills me with uncertainty regarding a new region actually coming out anywhere near August, unless they are really trying to keep it a surprise for some reason.
Oh wow, Flux, congrats! That´s some crazy stuff you got there :D Thanks for sharing, this IS the content we love to see! Now, I´m secretly jelaous kappa XD
I see they changed it so the tri-class cards from MSG are now listed under their classes.
Thanks for the downvotes guys, I had no idea the devs had confirmed anything about where multiclass cards would be displayed in the collection when I posted that pure speculation based on how it worked in the past.
People seem to underrate the fact that this card is 2 MANA. Like people are saying “oh, you don’t play this on 2”. Well obviously you don’t keep it in your mulligan. Like a 2 mana 6/6 is insane no matter how you look at it.

In any case, don't disenchant your extra copies of Gibberling and Voracious Reader.

Even then, it's 8 mana and Demon project already barely saw play.. And is 2 mana..
And even more it could also not help vs combo.. Or worse help them..

If Enchanted Cauldron ends up seeing play in a competitive deck, I'll eat my shoe. Happily.
Also, wait a tick, Double Jump isn't among Demon Hunter's best-rated cards? Outcast: Disbelief!

This is the perfect quick rundown for me as Real Life™ has been getting in the way of me knowing much about Scholomance Academy.
A great idea generator and a little insight into the possible good and bad cards of an interesting looking set.
Soul Fragment decks fascinate me and it looks ill be going that route on Day One.
I'll also be trying out some sort of Cauldron Deck in Wild because I'm drawn to Random.
Thanks guys and keep up the good work!

It would be cool if the quest reward gave them rush without overload, but I'm guessing that isn't going to happen.
