I think this game is too expensive for most people in the world.

It’s too expensive period, even for a whale like myself. With rumors (and pretty much a downright confirmation) that Hearthstone will go from three expansions a year to four, I’d imagine a good chunk of us will jump ship and be done with it. The expansions, more importantly the cards, are worthless since Team 5 limits us on how we can play with them. So why buy more of them?

Yeah, honestly, I haven't played Hearthstone at all in like 2 years. The last expansion pre-order I bought was Sunken City and I still haven't opened the card packs for it. I was hoping to get back into it, but nothing really intrigued me. The year before that, there were a few games played during expansion launched, but hardly what I'd consider playing the game to be.

And I know I'm not alone in that. My close friend group, everyone played Hearthstone for years. Everyone slowly dropped out of the game though and people that did return would do so for at most a week during a new set. It took Blizzard too much time to figure out a decent cadence for game updates. I think 4 expansions will be a net positive for the game, provided that they keep the overall cost the same.

Bonus points for Bobby Kotick in that scenario because when they announce cheaper pack bundle prices, people that aren't clued into why that is happening (4 sets vs 3) they'll come back and buy cards.

I still think one of the worst things they ever did was give classes 2 legendaries each expansion. The power level of them due to them being unique to classes is just disgusting. The neutrals they were at least forced to tame them down a bit so they weren't all instant includes for all classes.

^ Though I'm sure someone can find me saying otherwise, because there was a point in time where I thought it was a positive from the "they'll be able to push at least two archetypes per class per expansion now", but I still viewed the cost increase as the big downfall.

Digital card games fucking suck. Riot has a pretty decent model but the game itself feels too jank to me. Give me a Hearthstone, minus 70% of the RNG, and a model closer to what Riot is doing with Legends of Runeterra, and I think that would make a solid card game. I'd make it myself if I had the time! True story, there was a point in time where it was planned to have a card game on Out of Cards itself.

  • Dies To Removal - Card Design Competition Discussion Thread

new Serpent Sting variation and 2 new cards. Now the Sting is an actual slow poison slowly eating away at the minion. EXTINCTION is an old idea i still love and laugh when i think about it. Crazy ass warlock calling down a meteor over the entire board. And Fresh ingredients, well, don't think it's very creative but i wanted to have a third idea.

    linkblade91

I think for just 3 mana this is insane removal. Compare to Shellshot. Also, from just the card alone i did not realise it jumps back to the left most minion once it reaches the right most. Thought it just stops like Rolling Fireball.

Transmute is super cool, yet i think 2 mana and just common quality is too low. 3 mana and at least rare or even epic should be better i think. Roar of Time's "bad effect" is barely noticeable as at 6 mana very rarely you can even do something else that turn.

    Demonxz95

Seems fine balance wise, in the end you'd only really use it for card draw with the added bonus of maybe removal and a small body. i'm personally not a fan of all the Infestation variants but card seems good enough.

    Neoguli

For ethical reasons i strongly advise you to stay away from AI art. Not the place for such a discussion but in short, it's stealing from actual artists without their consent. As for the card itself, i'm not a purist to timelines so twinspell in DK works fine for me. What i don't like is the fact it's OP. Combine this with Frostwyrm's Fury or any other multiple freeze effects DK might receive and it's basically a 2 mana destroy all/multiple enemy minions. You probably compared this with Shattering Blast, but the thing is that card requires others to do anything. This alone is just a plain 4 mana destroy 2 enemy minions but it can be a 2 use 1 mana less Shattering Blast when combined with other freeze effects.

  • All Day 5 Card Reveals for Hearthstone's Festival of Legends Expansion

    Pro

Blackrock 'n' Roll has some potential! If you play this on turn 5, followed by Lor'themar Theron on turn 7, you're looking at some thicc bois for the rest of the game. If you can gain enough armor and draw some taunts ...

  • All Day 5 Card Reveals for Hearthstone's Festival of Legends Expansion

Awww cool is that War Master Voone in the artwork?

Also adding power and health is fantastic unless this card is at the bottom of your deck.

But then I guess you'd run Lothemar as like a second copy of this.

I guess this is a tempo or big warrior tool

  • All Day 5 Card Reveals for Hearthstone's Festival of Legends Expansion

Oh, I see! I misunderstood the card then. Yeah, then it would make more sense for Cthun!

  • All Day 5 Card Reveals for Hearthstone's Festival of Legends Expansion

It gives C'Thun +10/+10. It adds the cost, not set it to them.

  • All Day 5 Card Reveals for Hearthstone's Festival of Legends Expansion

Well that gives Cthun +4/+4. I think I'd rather just use the guy from Lich King that doubles minions' stats (Lordemar? idk)

  • All Day 5 Card Reveals for Hearthstone's Festival of Legends Expansion

Haha! :D  I really like today's flavorful "Reveals: Day 5!" news picture! Laughed out before I even clicked the news :D

(funny and real (I guess) at the same time, plus the Dormant thing, that when you are Enraged you go to sleep (Dormant)).

(Less funny if you are the one sitting and waiting at 5 AM, that's for sure...)

As for "Blackrock 'n' Roll" card, seems strong... except it is a 1 of as a Legendary and you have to survive somehow first and then draw it on time...

Sorry but I am not optimistic about this one, until we see some more Warrior cards.

  • All Day 5 Card Reveals for Hearthstone's Festival of Legends Expansion

Well, I mean, warrior will be a class, right? In this new release system they are releasing cards with sinergy, so, this card doesnt have sinergy? We at least need to see the core set

  • All Day 5 Card Reveals for Hearthstone's Festival of Legends Expansion

[Hearthstone Card (Blackrock ‘n’ Roll) Not Found] is not what warrior wants or needs. Cool card I guess atleast. Second 5 mana song related to Blackrock mountain

  • All Day 5 Card Reveals for Hearthstone's Festival of Legends Expansion

At first I saw Black Rock n Roll like “… Wut?”  But then I thought of C'Thun!  Will probably still suck, but that’s never stopped me from trying before!

Note that it does not say "friendly" minion. Looking forward to using this on a taunt that's blocking lethal.

  • ETC Band Manager bug?

    Pro

I wasn't netdecking. Just trying to add him to a deck I had already built myself (and later edit his band). Looks like Alfi had the same problem. I know you can submit bug reports, but don't you need a screenshot? There's isn't a way to show this bug.

  • All Day 5 Card Reveals for Hearthstone's Festival of Legends Expansion

Lol, and here I was optimistic that warrior wont get screwed yet again.

And then this comes out. There better be huge support, like an AoE to replace Shield Shatter, and a draw engine, otherwise the rock concerts going to the morgue.

  • All Day 5 Card Reveals for Hearthstone's Festival of Legends Expansion

And... Warrior is looking like a forgotten class yet again... Warrior is the new priest 😅 RIP

  • A Guide to Galactus by The Daily Snap

    Galactus the World Eater

    How To Play:
There are 2 phases to play the deck: Destroy Worlds followed by Winning. For the first couple of turns you attempt to retain priority, so you can ensure your Galactus lands through disruption (specifically Aero). Then you want to give priority away after Galactus to ensure your cards are Shang proof and your Shang is live (also applies even more to Valkyrie versions). Having turn 5 Spider-Man or Doc Oc after Galactus makes this even easier because it gives perfect information about your opponent's last turn. Kang has also given a big boost to this deck's ability to climb ladder as an additional way to see your opponent's last turn after Galactus, but also, and more importantly, allowing you to see if they have the Aero when you are about to destroy worlds. Snap + Kang > they play Aero, go back and retreat.

    Additional Info:
With the advent of the Thanos meta the Galactus deck isn't in a great place, since its soft to Aero and early Leeches. But you can definately climb ranks thanks to the combination of the high power level and opponents not always prepping for it, due to the low volume of Galactus players on the ladder right now.

  • ETC Band Manager bug?

Yes, same happened to me, but this was not a netdeck I just wanted to add him to my old deck.

  • ETC Band Manager bug?

If youre netdecking, bugs tend to happen though Ive no idea why. Happens sometimes when I netdeck a interesting list and the game just wont start. Had to build it myself to make a bug-free one.

I'd imagine what happened is that ETC comes pre-loaded in the netcode, so the game thinks ETC is already loaded. Can't say for sure, but Ive not encountered it. Maybe its because I tend to avoid netdecking lists with ETC in it.

Have you tried getting rid of ETC from the list and adding it back?

  • New Druid Weapon - Timber Tambourine

Sigh! Stop giving Druid more annoying cards in Wild!!!!

The scumbags will gladly replace Sphere with this and bank free 5/5's while they live forever with armor and rush summons....

  • New Rogue Spell - Breakdance

I think it's pretty safe to say that Shadowstep will not be in the core set considering this and the  legendary spell. It would be too much.

Yeah this is awesome. Will definitely see play

  • ETC Band Manager bug?

Hmmm. You should be playing Thief Rogue instead! Link below

  • New Shaman Spell - JIVE, INSECT!

Rag is remembered for being a wonderful card but that was back in the day where everything was big and the game was much slower.

Count the minion as one mana and this works out to still be 8 mana. Its an underwhelming card on its own but sure if it works out to combo it fine
