  • Does "They Who Endure" need a nerf?

Honestly, I think Atrocity should just become a slow spell card so it can't be chained. That or Endure needs to lose overwhelm. As it stands the card basically counters it's own counter play unless you have Frostbite.

  • Return to Gadgetzan's Streets

Final Triclass set! The Exotic Beast Trade Federation! The Warlocks came up with the name, although it doesn't really roll off the lizard's tongue.

After the disbandment of the Triclass, many of the Hunters in Gadgetzan tried to help tame the loose Beasts that ran about. They later asked for help caring for the Beasts through the Druid's natural touch on wildlife and agriculture. The 2 classes build the Beast Care facility and spent most of their time nuturing the beasts until they either found a home or grew up and found new lands to live in. Of course, many of the animals caused ruckuses and the animal body counts were not pleasing. The Warlocks of Gadgetzan offered to take care of the dead animals and even were willing to feed them any of the necessary food across Azeroth using their Portals (what they were fed is still kept in question).

Hunter Class Cards: (Theme: Shuffle Tactics, Board Control, Late Game Hitters)

    Show Spoiler

Hunter's really like taking their time in this expansion, from the breeding of more Beasts to the sharpening of their animal's teeth. Be careful not to sleep on the Hunter's, they're packing some good late game this expansion.

And the Class's favorite Tracker is hanging out in Gadgetzan, it's [Hearthstone Card (Selena, Spirit Tracker) Not Found] for the late game values.

Druid Class Cards: (Treant/Beast Power, Stealth Tokens, Mana Manipulation)

    Show Spoiler

Druids have learnt to manipulate Nature "to a t" in this expansion, learning how to shadow their Trees and having their Beast grow in the branches waiting for their chance to strike. Be on the lookout for Druid's minion, they'll attack when you least expect it seems.

And for Druid's Legendary, the keeper of the Beasts in the Trees, [Hearthstone Card (Felicia, Forest's Friend) Not Found].

    Tokens:

Warlock Class Cards: (Theme: Discard, Demon/Beast Builds, Beast Buffs, Lifesteal)

    Show Spoiler
Warlocks decided to learn how to make their Beasts more powerful in this expansion, teaching them how to grow in the nether and how to imbue them with Fel itself. They even brought some new Demons into the mix and selling them at low prices for the public. Be careful though, those small Beasts will be getting larger the more you knock 'em down.

[Hearthstone Card (Gerald, The Grave Digger) Not Found], was one of the few Warlocks who truly changed his thoughts on caring for the Beasts when his pet rabbit was killed at a young age. So don't toy around with him…

The moment you've all been waiting for the 3 Triclass Leaders.

    Show Spoiler
    Elemining Co Tri-class Card:
Denia was a poor orphan after the Dalaran conundrum and had no home. The 3 Scientists decided to take her under their wing and learned she had the talent to manipulate the Elements herself. She's now become the top protege in the business and is next-in-line to run the business after her adoptive guardians retire.

    Trade Federation Tri-class Card:
Mauna is a very rare Sporebat that was rescued from the Federation early in it's life. The Hunter's tamed it, the Druid's nutured it, and Warlocks, found it the Angry Chickens it loves to eat. After being cared for, the mystical creature remained and drew many others with incredible creatures to it's place of residence.

    Dragon's Guild Tri-class Card:
Junior is a sucker for Dragons. When he saw how they had nowhere to go and were feared throughout Azeroth, he made it his mission to educate and share his love of Dragon with everyone. He's also good friends with Kalecgos after they met during the Dalaran encounter, so be sure to tell Kalec he says whenever you see him!(Sorry for lack of art. Couldn't find any younger looking Don Han'Cho art. Or even other Gang ogre art either)

That's it for revisting Gadgetzan! My next expansion in the Year of the Hunt is still in the works and I don't know how long that will take, but my goodness it's gonna get finished if it's by the end of the year! Hope for more feedback and would love some more encouragement on the custom year. I'm also looking for artists or even card designers to help out with the year, so if you ever wanna help out or just suggest something feel free to send a message! Art will mostly always be accepted because there's only so much you can find on Google. (Please help me *wheezes in Weasel pain*)

  • The Neverglade Collector needs a slight nerf.

Because prankster comes out two turns earlier, which is pretty big for a token deck?

Also good job on completely destroying collector. That card will see no play whatsoever with that change. I don't even know where to start explaining how bad that nerf is... "Slight nerf", yeah right.

  • The Neverglade Collector needs a slight nerf.

As it stands now the  Neverglade Collector feels slightly over tuned and far exceeds the Phantom Prankster.

I think what they should do is make it so he only heals the nexus 1 for every death. Not drain. That way it tones him down and makes for phantom prankster to become a viable option. Like if you are looking to push out burn damage you would pick Prankster. But if you need more sustain through healing you would pick the collector.

As of right now the collector does both so why would you ever pick the prankster?

  • The Confession Thread - we won't judge you!

I'm really enjoying winning games on turn 4 with Discolock in Wild.

Turn 1 Deep Freeze... Restart... Turn 1 Endless Legion into Enhanced Dreadlord + Rustsworn Champion x2

Not gonna try to play against him till the PTSD passes...

Its a win condition card that requires a whole deck built around it too work most of the time. By your logic Accelerated Purrsuit needs a nerf too since it leads into; Catastrophe

You missed DoubleSummon's logic entirely and your logic is missing a logic.

Thanks for pointing the typo, totally missed it. About the spells, i see why you don't like the fact that they are useless if you're not holding a dragon, i don't like that either, but it was necessary. Initially, they were  useful even if you were  not holding a dragon, but they ended up being too wordy or/and confusing, so unfortunately i had to put this limitation. Also, specific spells that are only useful in few decks and situations, like [Hearthstone Card (Tip the Scaless) Not Found], Deadly Poison, Deadly Arsenal or Sacrificial Pact are part of the game, so i don't think there's a design problem in that, especially considering the amount of cards that generate dragons we have nowadays. But anyway, thanks for sharing your thoughts on them. :)

G'luck to all those who made it! I'll be pulling for the Volatile Magmaling and the Cosmic Researcher.

  • When will Battlegrounds be out of Beta?

When they finally get those fancy new servers so they can stop messing around with hearthstone's.

I dont know about you guys, but I've been experiencing plenty of disconnects, slowdowns and whatnots in hearthstone proper, coincidentally when battlegrounds gets new updates.

  • Fan Community Spotlight - MrRhapsody's "Dragonslayers"

I think Bronze Highkeeper is very clever, swapping stats to become a big Taunt after laying the smackdown on whomever pops the shield.

Conversely, I really dislike spells that have no basic function (referring to Power of the Dragonflame, Crystal Surge, Bites the Dust, etc.). Spells you have to build around can still be randomly generated, and if they are created outside of their intended situation they are completely useless. That's why To My Side! at least provides a single Animal Companion, and Apexis Blast can deal damage without having to summon the minion. With the spells above, however, if you have no Dragons to discard, they are a total waste of space :( It would feel bad in Mage in particular, a class that can readily generate these spells by chance.

Also, "Sapphire" has two Ps. I was going to say something in the original thread, but became distracted and forgot about it.

  • When will Battlegrounds be out of Beta?

Not the best example but Paladins took like 2 years to go out of beta, however, I don't expect battlegrounds to take even half as long. As for a confirmed battlegrounds date I don't think one has been said yet

  • When will Battlegrounds be out of Beta?

So, does anyone know when the Battlegrounds will be considered out of beta stage? It's been around for a while with several updates, and I'm wondering what stage it has to be at to be considered "finished and fully released".

  • A Wild Hearthstone Weekend Featuring Silverback OTK, Pirate Warrior, Pirate Rogue, and More!

Thanks for including my deck. I originally posted it for the "show us your favorite Wild deck" birthday celebration and it is great to see other people enjoying it too.

  • Fan Community Spotlight - MrRhapsody's "Dragonslayers"

Most of the cards look amazing and well designed. Though some are a bit overpowered. Still chapeau!

  • The Confession Thread - we won't judge you!

I added people after I losing a match to have a very friendly talk... but I never removed that person! Sometimes we even become friends, but then I forget who he was because Hearthstone profile/social system is absolutely garbage.

Very cool one, also an easy way to make your opponent thirsty!

    Quote From anchorm4n

First of all, I'm really pissed that someone basically copied my card (Shard Mage) with their Orderkeeper Henley. It isn't exactly the same, but the idea of using unspent mana crystals was unique and I find it suspicious that someone should have come up with it by coincidence. Even if that was the case, can't people check the already submitted cards before they enter the competition? With no way to tell which one got submitted first, we'll both suffer now (I'm not necessarily saying my take is better, mind you).

Rant over. My favorites are First Arcanist Thalyssra, Mana Droplet, Nerubian Ritualist and Imbue Energy. Those are my 5 star votes, but I gave lots of 4 stars as well. Good luck to everyone!

Unfortunately I think it's unavoidable having similar ideas being submitted. I'm honestly surprised it doesn't happen more often.

I do wish more people checked the thread and voted on cards before submitting, but I understand that people have busy lives and might not be able to do that. They could make it a requirement to vote on cards before being able to submit an entry, but I feel that would just turn people away and reduce the number of entries each week.

As for the two cards, I actually voted yours 4 stars and the other one 1 star. I think the effect as an aura is problematic (even on a legendary), and it works much better as a battlecry like you designed it to be. Also, the other card left the "s" off of "Crystals".

So there being multiple "mana crystal" effect cards didn't effect the vote that I gave both of these cards. Yours was the better of the two, and my votes reflected that.

  • Does "They Who Endure" need a nerf?

Because it's quite bad without building a deck around it it doesn't get that big otherwise. you can't really look at the card in a vacuum.

It's not that simple, here you are mentioning the most toxic card in the game currently, Will of Ionia, because of this card cards that cost 5 or more rarely ever see any play because you will just get a massive tempo loss for playing those cards.

I think there needs to be some change to atrocity and will if anything I will be surprised if the they who endure itself gets changed.

Anyway we *will* see tomorrow what they are planning (unless they moved patch notes day to Tuesday and I forgot..)

Think that card won't be touched.. removing overwhelm will just make it easy to chump block, and giving it fearsome is just an "easy" solution, freljord has a lot to do with overwhelm it's a theme the region have, giving it fearsome which is more of a SI/Noxus mechanic feels probably bad.. but if they were to nerf the card I could totally see it being the case.

  • Does "They Who Endure" need a nerf?

Glad you made this thread, because this is the other big contentious deck running around right now. It has a pretty clear weakness against elusives, because all of the chump blockers don't do anything against that deck, but against everything else it turns out that playing a bunch of junk, into a neverglade collector to gain you life, into a they who endure is a little too consistent. You don't even need to run champions for it to be good.

I am guilty of playing the card now and then, which is probably pretty tilting for the opponent.

  • Does "They Who Endure" need a nerf?

Enemy plays a 6 mana 14/14 with Overwhelm. If you try to block it you die because of Overwhelm. If you try to remove it with say, Will of Ionia, enemy atrocities and you die.

The effective answers to this combo are quiet rare (frostbite?).. Why is my enemy able to spawn a 6 mana 14/14 with overwhelm again?

Either They Who Endure should NOT have Overwhelm (cause a 6 mana XX/XX it's good enough on its own, it doesn't need overwhelm on top of that) , or the mana costs should be tweaked so that you cannot play it along side Atrocity on the same turn. I rather have the first one.
