  • "A critical error has occurred and the process must be terminated."

I was playing on my PC earlier today, when the game stopped, and then it showed this message I put in the title. I have tried a couple of things to solve this problem, however, none proved to be successful. Those were:

    - Reinstalled the game.

-Tried to open the app as administrator.

Fortunately, I was able to finish and win the game using my phone, but I really want to play on my computer.

  • Custom Battlegrounds tribe: Totems!

I think regular Totems having an innate Attack stat above zero is weird, especially a high one. Infusing them with power such they can now inflict damage (like Totemic Surge), damaging in a roundabout way (Serpent Ward), or being a Totem construct (Totem Golem) makes sense to me, but a regular ol' Totem generally just sits there and provides its effect while remaining inanimate. I know Searing Totem exists, but that's kind of the exception, not a standard. So...yeah, from a flavor standpoint I just don't buy a stationary Totem being a 7/7 or a 9/9. Sorry :(

Disregarding that opinion, I think you put a lot of effort into this and most of it looks good. I like Dizzy Totem in particular, because you could seriously punish your opponent with a high-Attack minion bouncing its damage off the Totem. Other than that, I think Totem of the Elements definitely has too much going on, and in Tier 4 you spelled "Wielder" wrong.

Thank you for your feedback! I fixed the spelling mistake on Totem Wielder. As for Totems having an attack value, I tried to avoid that for the most part, but sometimes you need your minions to be able to attack. On Wind Totem, I felt obliged to give him some attack since he is tier 1 and I didn't want him to be useless turn 1. Dragon Totem has an attack value, but it can't attack. It can damage you with magic if you get close, but it can't go out and attack you. Both of the T-6 Totems can attack regularly, but they are T-6 and I want them to feel powerful. Power-Infusing Totem is the only one I don't have an excuse for. If people want I can change it to say "Can't Attack" and maybe increase it's health by one or two points.

For any of the Totems, I could give them 0 attack but then give them an ability to deal damage to illustrate how they can still kill things but through magic and not physical powers, but why not just give them attack to keep things simple?

I am willing to adjust Power-Infusing Totem and Wind Totem if I need to. But I don't want to change the T-6 Totems or Dragon Totem.

  • Time For Keg Control To Return?

A lot of people are struggling with elusive decks and Heimer who also just makes infinite exclusives.

Was the solution easier than we think, just run all of the damage and healing effects with kegs, like people did when rising tides first dropped.

This is the great thing about Legends Of Runterra, things are so balanced that you can play off meta lists and still do well.

  • Sacrificing defenders to negate attacks...help please

What Kansas said was accurate, you have to confirm the block before it is officially a block. This is one of the negatives about Burst speed vs Fast Speed. Also keep in mind Overwhelming will run over the defenders as if it wasn't there either. Not sure if the ghost card remains there or not, but it is something to consider.

Lady Liadrin has secretly been in the game for years as the Shattered Sun Cleric, biding her time until she could take over the world become a true Legendary :D

  • Custom Battlegrounds tribe: Totems!

Once some time ago some person mentioned somewhere that Totems might become a tribe in Battlegrounds one day. The thought really excited me so for the past few hours I have been theorizing what it might look like.

Totems by themselves generally don't do too much. They are inanimate objects after all. Totems have higher Health and lower Attack than the average minion, and most of them have some other ability to make them relevant in combat. They do take some time to get going as all of their most powerful synergy cards are in tiers 5 and 6, but they have a lot of potential.

Without further ado, lets get into the cards!

What do you think? Is the flavor good? Is it well balanced? Could it be competitive? And does Totem of the Elements have too many stats? (I went back and forth a lot about that).

Amazing article, as always! Great lore info about some of the seemingly random names of some HS cards (for a person who does not know WOW lore) like Sunfury Protector or Shattered Sun Cleric!

  • Sacrificing defenders to negate attacks...help please

Because Transfusion is burst speed, you didn't confirm the blocker before sacrificing it. A unit is only considered "blocked" when the blocking player drags it in front of the attacker and hits "confirm". Because the unit wasn't there when you hit the button, the unit wasn't blocked.

Other sacrifice effects such as Glimpse Beyond work because they go onto the stack and wont have resolved when you hit the confirm button.

  • Sacrificing defenders to negate attacks...help please

    Hi everyone,

I’m having a hard time figuring out the rules behind negating attacks through sacrificing your own cards.  For example, I was blocking a card with a 2/1, and transfusioned it to buff up another defender.  I thought it would leave behind that little shell to signify that the attack would be negated, but it didn’t.  IIRC, other sacrifice mechanics work just fine, like kill an ally to draw 2.  Is there a general rule of thumb to preventing attacks through sacrifice?  Does it have to be a non-burst speed?  Can it not be dmg dealing cards, like transfusion, but must kill it instead?

    thank you all!

Its funny they are calling it A.R.A.M. :D I guess, technically, we are all going mid anyways, since there is no other path :)

  • D-A-M-A-G-E - Card Design Competition Discussion Thread

Thanks for the suggestions! I guess I don't pay enough attention to card wording and watermarks. Also I tend to be too strict in balancing. So, yeah, those are great points.

  • Season of Fortune, Gauntlets, Labs, Events and More Coming to Legends of Runeterra

We already had the "first" set released for Bilgewater on April 30. The next new region and cards will drop in August. After that, every two months we will get new cards.

When the first set of new cards will be released?

My first attempt at a card design entry. I always loved the fairy tale, and I thought it would be fun to be able to generate tons of Coins.

Welcome! I hope you've been enjoying designing your first card! I like the idea. The wording is a little off though. "Gain" isn't the correct term that is used when a card generates a coin. Look at Umbral Skulker and Tomb Pillager as examples. "Add to your hand" is the phrase you're looking for.

I'd suggest changing the text to "Add a Coin to your hand for each point of Spell Damage you have."

As for balancing, since the card is conditional to having Spell Damage, I think you can drop the mana cost to 2 and make it a Rare. Then if it's played without spell damage, it's at least a vanilla 2 mana minion.

The Watermark is another thing I would look at. Classic set is generally considered a bad watermark choice, and I know many people will dock stars for that. I'd suggest choosing a custom watermark for this one. There is a year of the phoenix watermark that works really well.

Overall, great job on your first attempt!

  • Did D&D Beyond Remove the Runeterra 'Dark Tides of Bilgewater' Campaign Due to Wizards of the Coast's Magic the Gathering

That is both incredibly sad and petty if true and also the only plausible explanation I can even imagine.

WotC sounds more and more like an incredibly frustrating place to work.
