Exactly the same thoughts!  Obviously there might be a few things in Wild/Legacy that need to be kept in check, but I say only in extreme circumstances.  Everything else, let it run wild!

Then in a Limited style format, rotate things in and out, ban problematic/polarizing cards if needed, etc.  Bans would be only for if a single card pushes a class/archetype to a far higher power level than everyone else.

Hell, I’d even go so far as to say remove a lot of the gross mana cheating stuff so players in the mode have to think, make good trades, and play a more “old school” style of the game!

Your two cents suck, no one enjoys Wild.

  • [Game] Card Treasure Hunt (Hearthstone Riddles)

Nope that isnt it! Yeah K&C was where I started actually spending money on this stupid game and became a whale

  • Blizzard Commits to Fixing Problems With Hearthstone's Wild Format

i want: wild as an eternal format (with all nerfs reverted) and add a legacy format (with nerfs set at the point in time when the card left standard), where all decks must have been standard legal at one time, i.e., all cards within two consecutive standard years.

that way you could try oil rogue vs. totem shaman vs. libram paladin vs. dr. boom warrior and so on. it would be a place where you could actually play your old decks.

  • Blizzard Commits to Fixing Problems With Hearthstone's Wild Format

    1. Add Explorer, it’s a dynamic format that changes monthly and gives your cards more value.

    2. Add another format period, Hearthstone is at its worst when both constructed formats are busted.

    3. BG’s should not be looked at as an alternative for HS when it’s in a rut regarding the state of the meta(s).

If BG’s gets its own program/app outside of traditional HS, it’s gonna show.

They are selling old packs so give out all cards for free is not a way Blizz would go

  • Blizzard Commits to Fixing Problems With Hearthstone's Wild Format

For me wild should be the place to test out all the cards you have in your collection, and those that you do not. And there are 2 ways to go about it.

    1. Pick 2-4 "eras" + core, make decks from them, battle other players with other choices of "eras". This requires balancing all the broken shit (and firing the "designers" that allowed it to thrive).

    2. Rotating sets, but give us ALL the cards even if we do not own them. The current set is never included in this rotation until next "cycle" (be it expansion or miniset) - basically any release of new cards will give you access to the previous ones.

I'd also love a second mode - give us all cards from all previous card cycles from Standard, but adjust the rewards. I.e. when the miniset drops, give access to the initial release of cards, and so on. Basically, i want to play with all the cards from standard, even if i do not own them, in a sort of Casual mode, with no ladder, fewer or no rewards, maybe a separate reward track focused on other things than gold, etc. It'd be like owning the cards, but because you actually don't, the rewards are very low or zero.

Wanted to share an interesting build created by @ketronome using Tacter's guide building platform.

I hope this helps some of you and if you try it and it works, please feel free to comment and let know how it went for you!

    HOW TO PLAY

    T1: Sunspot / Pass.
T2: Morbius OR Colleen Wing (discarding Swarm or Wolverine).
T3: Lady Sif (discarding Apocalypse) OR Nakia (ideally buffing Swarm, MODOK or Apocalypse. OR Morbius + Sunspot.
T4: Dracula OR Morbius + Colleen Wing.
    T5: MODOK.
T6: America Chavez + all 0-cost Swarms, ensuring Dracula discards Apocalypse.

  • Blood Magic

To be fair, anything that isn't druid, priest or dhunter wouldn't be. And even then its 90% dhunter all day everyday.

  • Blood Magic

One of those brawls where DK isn't a good class 😅

  • Blizzard Commits to Fixing Problems With Hearthstone's Wild Format

I vaguely remember there was a Dean Q&A before he left where he hinted that Team 5 were looking at changing the classic format into a rotating sets format which I've been asking for since they created the Tavern Brawl Blocks. See https://outof.cards/hearthstone/tavern-brawls/117-brawl-block-gods-gadgetzan-gurubashi

I really enjoy deckbuilding and that part of HS is basically non-existent now due to deck codes and the meta getting solved so quickly in Standard. If there was a rotating sets format that changed between 3 - 5 sets at random every month, it would create new smaller metas and we get to use mid-power level cards again that just collect dust in wild.

As for wild itself... it's sad that Team 5 has just left it to get so bad. I pity the players who play the mode but it will keep morphing into a monster with every new set added to the game.

My opinion is: Change wild into the ultimate "legacy mode" and unnerf everything (even Warsong Commander) and just let it run rampant then change classic to a rotating sets mode that has more rules/limitations to create a more healthy meta.

  • Insta-board

This is the worst deck possible. It's called instaboard but you don't get any board just die to your own spells. And you are never able to play any minions. Don't play this bad deck. Ever.

How does one create a Bnet account without a user name to where a PANTS name is given?

I have encountered a lot of PANTS playing wild... it's weird!

  • More New Decks That Came Out Of Nowhere

Can't even do math on a troll chant and I'm the bad player.

Demacia illoi isn't even a meta deck but sometimes when people think hand vomit is good play I remind them that if I play something one tick down the meme scale they instantly lose.

I am interested in your thesis writing service I need to finish my heardle thesis next week and i still cant find the solution for me.

  • More New Decks That Came Out Of Nowhere

I've talked quite a bit on many platforms how the sudden mainstream success of both yetis and Leona surprised me quite a bit.

But the weirdness doesn't stop there:

Jayce Lux at 55% this ain't no isolated incident we are talking 500 games in the last 3 days consistent winrate with good old fashioned I'm a firing my Lazar!

Ziggs Thaliyah at 55% with 1500 games played. Oh boy and for you arsenal fans it is in fact running one copy.

I will mention it again but I mentioned on reddit that Annie ezreal was one of the top new lists and it is once again holding down 55%

Plunder back to 55% so great for thr gangplank lovers

    You know what's down?

Nora cuz **** Nora and every single player that thought Nora decks where the meta and the future.

Sorry bit of a pet peave but sometimes you can't help but be right.

Overall even what 2, 3 weeks into this latest balance patch meta we are seeing huge moves on the tierlists, so I think calling this meta jello was the right call. It keeps on jiggling.

  • Blizzard Commits to Fixing Problems With Hearthstone's Wild Format

I don't have high hopes. Wild is the only constructed format I play but it's far from a healthy one. It's burdened by issues and cards that do too much for too little that have been stacking up and up since around Scholomance without being addressed. If you were to nerf all of the best decks in the format quite brutally today, there'd be a new batch of similarly broken or uniteractive decks tomorrow because there's a lot of broken shit in the format that's just being held down by what's currently strong. The devs would have to take a holistic approach and address a lot of stuff from as far as 3 years back to bring the format back in check. Cause as it stands, the format is, and has been for quite a while, extremely polarized. You got busted uninteractive OTKs and combos, and you've got aggro decks trying to kill those OTKs before they go off. Nothing else is left. Control is dead (Shudder Shaman being the exception cause they infinitely lock aggro out of the game and have an utterly busted Murloc package holding them afloat). Midrange is dead. They have been for years.

Obviously etarnal formats will end up stacking up in power over time to create some pretty nutty play patterns, but in a game like Hearthstone where reactivity isn't nearly what it is in something like MtG, the format can't simply correct itself through proper teching (forget sideboarding, too). All the initiative is in the hands of the player who's turn it is, so when your Druid opponent starts slinging 45 mana worth of stuff because of Floop's Gloop + Flipper Friends + Celestial Alignment by turn 6, there isn't shit you can do to stop them Mecha'thuning you the same turn (they can do insane shit like this and that isn't good enough for them to be tier 1). Similar stuff with Priest's turn 3 Neptulons, Discardlock's lethals from full to dead all from hand. We're in an environment where an uninteractive deck like Quest Mage doesn't seem all that bad anymore cause at least the game isn't over turn 3 or 4.

They have A LOT to address and I don't think they have the guts to take the hammer to the format in the manner it needs.

  • Blizzard Commits to Fixing Problems With Hearthstone's Wild Format

High skill cap, for a quest that can be completed by turn 5? I think not.

  • Blizzard Commits to Fixing Problems With Hearthstone's Wild Format

Note that all of the decks you mention are aggro decks, except Big Priest, which is terrible to play against unless you are playing aggro yourself or a very quick combo deck. If you want to play something else, you're in for a hard time.

You can't really play a deck without mana cheats anymore if you want to win games. For the weekly ladder quest, I turn to Evenlock: while not a meta deck, it does do a lot of mana cheating, which is necessary to keep up with people summoning a board for hardly any mana (play one pirate, get two for free!).

  • Blood Magic

Indeed, 3 months + 1 week ago was the last time ...

  • Blizzard Commits to Fixing Problems With Hearthstone's Wild Format

Tech cards are a solution for tournaments and ladders with a really low variety of decks, but not a solution in general. Say that 20% of opponents runs Ice Block, then teching against it will make your deck slightly worse in 80% of games.
