If an adventure card gets nerfed, you’ll be able to dust it for it’s full value. From what I can remember, it’s only happened before with Naga and maybe one other card though
Just no! Bloodbloom to 4 destroys Mecha'Thun lock and only slightly delays Darkest Hour. Bloodbloom needs to stay at 2 mana, but should be changed to work on spells that cost 5 or less. That would completely kill the problem deck and leave good ol' Mechalock untouched.
It depends on how it gets nerfed. 1-2 years ago I've made a thread about the possible nerfs to BB in hpwn and one of people's suggestions was being able to use it for spells that cost 5 or less. That would kill a lot of the utility of this spell, but it will preserve the Mechathun deck. In that thread I had also stated that changing the cost of BB would hit only the aforementioned combo deck hard, since you would need more Emperor ticks for the combo, while Big Warlock would cheat out their big minions one or two turns later. None of these suggestions sounded optimal, but what can you do?
This card is slowly making its way into every single list. It does more than disable highlander decks. With most of the classes having such limited card draw, top decking a useless bird is detrimental and extremely unfun. What was put in the game as a counter to highlander, has become a staple in almost any deck list. If all the classes had more card draw, it wouldn't be an issue. But they are set in making some classes bad at drawing cards, and the win rate of those that can draw vs those that cannot is very evident right now.
Note: some spells or units can be used against other things. But I won't repeat their exact names (i.e: Demacia - Purify) because that's super redundant.
Against a Burst Spell
Demacia
Purify
Against a Fast/Slow Spell
Demacia
Detain
Ionia
Deny
Wind of Ionia
Against a Power buff Spell (before and after the spell goes through)
Do they have a policy on refunding adventure cards?
I don't particularly need the dust/gold anyway, but with felwing this seems like a case of the card's rarity not being representative of the actual price players spent for it.
Probably the correct choice. At diamond 5 to legend ~two thirds of players are running these two decks. I just hope they don't kill these decks with overzealous nerfs.
I hear you, og. I feel that their ongoing ignorance of Ramming Speed's dominance is the biggest upset since their failure to nerf Unseen Saboteur, and that is in no way biased by the fact I have 3 of the latter.
I'm kinda salty about the Sac Pac change. It's not because it's going to get nerfed, but because it's going to happen only due to the fact, that the devs don't like how the spell acts as a removal against the dh's demons. Imho it should have been changed years ago. It was never fun, when you played Mr. J and then your opponent responded with a single answer and ended the game like that. That "hero card" was the fairest of them all, since playing it made you very vulnerable to an unanswered board/burst, and it deserved way more respect after the hero cards were first introduced.
Everyone complaining about how there is no counter to elusive units and how the game is ruined by an "uninteresting mechanic," then threaten to quit and uninstall the game. Go do it then lol.
The issue isn't with Elusives, the issue is with your inability to understand that more likely you'll be fighting elusives and will need counter cards. So many people are currently hopping on the Bannerman express because of its round 4 power spike, and yet they complain that all the power and health in the world can't stop an Ionia deck. Guess what, YOU'RE RIGHT. What good is that when you are getting bodied by a Solitary Monk with Stand Alone and by Shadow Assassins?
So now you been known that power and health alone don't counter elusive attacks. Well you know what does, that is commonly found in every goddamn Bannerman deck? CHALLENGER UNITS, SINGLE COMBAT, and PURIFY. WOW! How many Fleet Feathertrackers (challenger) have I went against, paired with War Chefs or Laurent Chevalier (also challenger btw). You can (oh my god) CHALLENGE the elusives in battle and force them to defend! Oh what? The enemy had enough mana for Twin Disciples or variant of a Barrier spell? Well if you were smart enough to perceive it, you should have Purify to nullify EVERYTHING.
Another fun factoid is that you can counter elusives with OTHER elusives. And Frostbite. And Vengeance. And Drain. And Noxus Guillotine. And simply having a spread out board so that they will have to defend against something or take hella damage/lethal.
Yeah. We have a lot of automation baked into the site so we don't have to waste time. Its why we're faster than other places and why certain other places stopped doing a lot of the work after we left =
Took bloody long, but please do it this time blizzard. I'm not saying this because I have a golden Darkest Hour and Bloodbloom. No. Really. The fact that [Hearthstone Card (crystal caverns) Not Found] been nerfed three times and Open the Waygate is merely being considered for one should be made a crime.
I dont see why they dont just make Lord Jaraxxus a hero card already. Or at least make him immune to sac pact. Its kinda a real old meme at this point.
Changes to Frenzied Felwing is perhaps expected, given that dhunters can legitimately get this out by turn 1 if necessary. I expect them to bump the mana cost by 1 or 2.
Bad Luck Albatross is a counter to highlander. But subtlety its actually a counter to nearly every deck, since many classes now can barely draw cards. I didnt expect anything to be done over this card, but Im glad they're doing something about it.
Just make Kael'thas Sunstrider enable only the first 3rd spell. Its not really going to ruin any combos given that most classes barely have any 0 mana cost spell. Its only truly viable in druid, and team5 should take that as an indicator about that class as a whole.
I'm glad to see Sac Pact changes coming. Not only does it completely spoil the Demon Hunter archetype I was actually excited for (i.e. the Big Demon version), from a WoW flavor point it's pretty silly that you are allowed to use it on enemies - it's supposed to be a way to sacrifice your own demons to heal you.

100% in agreement, it should have been fixed long ago ...

This is also what I'm most sad about... Mecha'Thun Lock is a very honest and balanced deck, AND fun to play
Darkest Hour Lock is neither, so why not change Darkest Hour??

Probably increase Open the Waygate condition to 10. Maybe even 12, judging from how stuff like this is dealt historically.
uninstalling until elusive is fixed
Good bye sir.

I have a golden Darkest Hour ready to be disenchanted and they are nerfing Bloodbloom

WHy my Mecha'thun deck getting hit too... you know replacing Bloodbloom by couple of Galvanizers will reduce consistency a lot

Ok, now I'm in love with Alec Dawson.
My bet:
Open the Waygate to require 8 spells (or maybe even 10).
Bloodbloom to (4).
As much as I love generating spells in Mage, QMage has grown to be an abomination since Uldum.
