Could've been fun, but as most Brawls it's 95% RNG. The decks are so bad, that it's just a matter of who draws better.
PS: Paladin is by far the worst, did 5 games with each class, and couldn't win a single one with that one (usually dead before even a single card could be played).
I actually won the one game I played with Paladin. Got the "This minion only takes one damage at a time" taunt up with the shrine still active and then just kept buffing, and buffing, and buffing... Opponent couldn't get through it so I was free to build up a board behind it and go face, face, and face again.
But talking about the luck of RNG, my first attempt my opponent had a random Reno Jackson, and it was randomly active the turn before I had lethal.
Looks like a card that’ll probably get run in most decks, because there’s really no downside to running it, aside from cutting some essential card I guess. Would’ve preferred they not print something like this, but whatever I guess. Hopefully it’s not as good as it looks
Seems kind of meh really, the class already runs a lot of 2 mana cards, and the early game is when it’s most important to play on curve. Probably too slow
We haven't quite gotten to this one in our reviews yet, but I just love it. Being able to selectively cast a few spells from a plethora of options seems like a really fun card to play, and I think choosing being one big spell and several little ones will be a real test of skill.
I'm not saying they can't be used in tandem, I'm saying that a 10 mana, 6 card combo has only ever been playable when it's sealing a game. Merely generating a huge board, for a full 20% of your deck, with the ability to do so again with yet another card, is generally not a game winner. Any successful combo like that has generally been an instant game win, not a "if you can't clear this board, and another, or burn me down in the mean-time, I win".
Druid is one or two cards away from being broken at the moment, and I'm not sure how they proceed without either making it a failed archetype, or hopelessly broken.
As a replacement, they're getting different 0TK support (Imprisoned Satyr) and this weird, spell synergy without any decent spells build. Either Druid gets a really, REALLY strong, high cost spell in future, or they spend a year in the wilderness IMO.
On a side note, I'm really looking forward to factoring in Marsh Hydra in my Jungle Giants deck in Wild.
The new legendary spell Evocation seems like a good fit for this deck - one could do with 1-2 less random spell generators, and/or be less reliant on the elemental synergies with Lesser Ruby Spellstone.
Is that a sling that is targeted to my face ? but how exactly that shot buffs that beast ?
I really can't get some of the flavors that Team 5 chooses.
Yeah, flavor wise it is a little strange. But I guess since it's "scrap shot" the left over scrap metal from the sling shot is used to fashion armor and weaponry for the beast??? I'm really trying here..
Pretty much the flavor of the expansion involves turning everything into mechanical monstrosities (rusted legion), so using the scrap to “upgrade” one of your beasts seems like it’s fine flavor wise.
Seems like a decent card altogether though, if a bit slow for the class
Just to confirm, this does give 1 excess mana, I saw it during the streamer thing.
Dog was playing this in a ramp druid with breath of dreams, the druid sidequest, some big dragons, and the ten drop that is a 7/7 that deathrattles a 7/7. It honestly looked pretty solid. Has potential to be like a tier 3 or even tier 2 deck. Pretty similar to embiggen, not sure if it would be better or worse. If druid gets some better cards to ramp into, especially dragons, it could be a big deal deck. Ysera, Unleashed is a hell of a card.
I’m probably wrong, but looks like a pretty good finisher. Besides, as a hunter, if your opponent has control of the board, you’ve pretty much lost anyways
Only real time I can see it’d be useful is right after you use the ramp card to get control of the board again. Beyond that, overpriced for the early game, not that impactful for late game
Well, since the class hasn’t gotten much in the way of anti aggro, probably won’t see much play (at least the 7 mana minion left a body on the board when you played it)
I'm very interested to see the discard mechanic used in a class other than warlock. This will be great for giving chaos mage lots of choices to draw from without cluttering up the hand and burning though too many cards like I've had to deal with in the past.
A very iconic mob from Outland in Burning Crusade. I'm always down for some more hand-buff synergy in wild, and I'm sure it will have some great benefits in standard as the year goes on and we continue getting even more beasts. Nothing outstanding, but solid enough for me.
Our Thoughts on Hearthstone's Ashes of Outland Druid Cards
I wonder about the interaction of Ysiel Windsinger 1 mana spells vs 0 cost mana spells with 7 mana crystals.
Will it stay 0 cost, or they disregard it and make it 1 mana cost spell?

New Mage Spell - Evocation
Looks like a card that’ll probably get run in most decks, because there’s really no downside to running it, aside from cutting some essential card I guess. Would’ve preferred they not print something like this, but whatever I guess. Hopefully it’s not as good as it looks
New Mage Minion - Astromancer Solarian
Looks great, cheap spell damage is always a bonus, and the prime is pretty much guaranteed to kill or damage some of the enemies
New Hunter Minion - Helboar
Fiery Bat was decent back in the day, probably a bit too weak these days though, even if this buffs a minion in hand
New Hunter Minion - Imprisoned Felmaw
Seems kind of meh really, the class already runs a lot of 2 mana cards, and the early game is when it’s most important to play on curve. Probably too slow
New Hunter Spell - Scavenger's Ingenuity
Pretty nice that it does specifically tutor beasts rather than being “draw a card, if it’s a beast give it +3/+3.”
Surprised they decided to give the class some more draw though.

New Hunter Spell - Pack Tactics
Worst case, you get a 3/3 for 2 mana, any minion with a decent effect becomes amazing with this. Pretty much a guarantee it’s gonna see play
New Hunter Minion - Mok'Nathal Lion
Looks absolutely amazing, especially since deathrattle is something Hunter’s consistently get more support for

That won't happen. DH won't be getting added to any of the old adventures - You can't even use DH against The Lich King.

Look at the fact they're losing a lot of their existing support (survival Ferocious Howl) Treant synergy (Landscaping, Dendrologist, Mulchmuncher,Treespeaker) and combo/0TK support (Flobbidinous Floop, Juicy Psychmelon).
As a replacement, they're getting different 0TK support (Imprisoned Satyr) and this weird, spell synergy without any decent spells build. Either Druid gets a really, REALLY strong, high cost spell in future, or they spend a year in the wilderness IMO.

Highlander Mill Mage (Saviors of Uldum edition)

New Hunter Minion - Augmented Porcupine
Looks scary alongside all the other buffs hunter has for beasts. If only this was printed back in Gadgetzan
New Hunter Spell - Nagrand Slam
I’m probably wrong, but looks like a pretty good finisher. Besides, as a hunter, if your opponent has control of the board, you’ve pretty much lost anyways
New Hunter Minion - Zixor, Apex Predator
Looks strong, but also really slow for the class which kinda kills it. The prime is definitely great though
New Hunter Minion - Beastmaster Leoroxx
Looks relatively strong (and like another reason to run Octosari). Cheating out minions is usually what makes decks strong after all.
Our Thoughts on Hearthstone's Ashes of Outland Druid Cards
It makes sense that you only get 1 Excess Mana. With 2, you can actually setup some insane malygos-kaelthas strats.
Still, my fingers crossed that you can get 2. The card is already good on its own, if it gives 2 Excess Mana, then it might well just be broken.
New Druid Spell - Bogbeam
Only real time I can see it’d be useful is right after you use the ramp card to get control of the board again. Beyond that, overpriced for the early game, not that impactful for late game
Our Thoughts on Hearthstone's Ashes of Outland Druid Cards
The sad thing about Ysiel Windsinger in standard is that Kael'thas Sunstrider can probably do it better.
The best way to play her in my opinion is to draw towards your win condition, with expensive cards like Overflow. That's it really.
New Druid Minion - Imprisoned Satyr
Well, since the class hasn’t gotten much in the way of anti aggro, probably won’t see much play (at least the 7 mana minion left a body on the board when you played it)
