Ionia has always had acess to the best costed "removal" in the game in the form of bounces.
It remains the only way to simultaneously deal with big units, equipment, and attachments and buffed stats instantly under curve.
So with the huge surge of Illoi and Jax decks who specialize in big pp units with infinite value its no surprise that the answer is 4 mana boops back to hand.
How do I feel about this personally?
As a mtg player I like removal, I like control, I like hard answers to plays. Ionia specializes in being able to soft answer everything while delaying for their wincon.
Turns out tho that's very good right now.
The meta circle will look like this.
Big PP midrange > aggro
Ionia > midrange
Aggro > Ionia
I dont find rock paper scissors metas super compelling so I hope we see some interesting decks and developments break this stalemate soon.
This looks like a good card, but i dunno if it's good enough to make the cut in a priest deck. Does priest really need a Assassinate style card for 4 mana while priest already has tons of other clears. Like do you really run this when you already have cards like The Light! It Burns!?
Shadow priest can run it as well, but does it really want 4 mana remove a minion? Sure the healing can be nice, but i'm still not sold on this.
Too unreliable. IF a Dredge card is ONLY good if the Dredge effect pops off it'S not worth using.
Harpoon Gun was good because it helped set up your plays while also being a decent vanilla weapon. This will most likely just be a 5/4 that might help out on your next turn, which isn'T good enough.
Reverse Touch of the Nathrezim. Fantastic for an aggressive deck, helping you maintain the board while also pushing damage. Great synergy with Spell damage as well.
If priest is playing aggro this card would easily be in it. Yes there is a condition, and that is you need to dredge an undead, so if you're playing this card chances are good half your deck needs to have the undead tag. But that's paltry. Undead shadow priest is already an aggressive archetype that does exactly that.
The only downside to this card is its one-dimensional design. Its never seeing play outside of one specific deck, but hey ho.
Lol, this is actually that duels treasure, vampiric fangs, except its 1 mana more.
Well, what is there to say. If you're playing a slower priest deck you'll likely have room for one of these. Even if you dont, you'll likely get this off a discover anyway.
In a Sister Svalna deck this card is insane. Mostly because you'll likely be able to get a few Radiant Elementals out and then this card goes from insane to outright breaking rules. Imagine going close to beating priest only for them to whip this out with a cool middle finger. Sometimes I really think part of priest's identity includes making your opponent break his monitor and uninstalling the game.
Love the dual type and faction flag concept... that being said the picture of the Sylvanas cards blows my mind. Horde faction - sure I guess even though she hated them.. wouldn't the new scourge faction be better fit (even though she hated them too I guess). High elf type, so above getting any of the elf buffs, and also so elevated to avoid get any other kind of synergy with that half type? Undead type has no treasures that I'm aware of as well, but sure we'll see some with this patch given the theme.
The only consistently relevant case where this card is worse than Snipe is if you have four or more minions, which makes it summon less Zombees. As Hunter, that's not impossible, but it also shouldn't be too big of a worry.
My first ever and only single time becoming Legend in Classic. The goal was just to complete the Back In My Day ranked game mode achievement.
The climb was very straightforward because the ladder is infested with dumb bots which are easily farmed with this deck. I only encountered a handful of real players on the way to legend which in total took about 88 games.
Restless Mummy but only if you hit 6 mana. This seems horrible, the main reason Restless Mummy was good was because it came down on turn 4 around the time where a 3/2 with rush could still remove a decent amount of minions. These days a 3/3 with rush is not good enough (Look at all the 3 mana 3/3s with rush that were printed that saw no play). You NEED the manathirst and when it gets it, it's way too late. This only looks decent for Arena.
So i'm guessing it uses your unspend mana if this triggers during your opponents turn? This seems horrible. Like this will probably summon 1-2 minions AT MOST during your opponents turn, and if it uses all your mana on your next turn then it's even worse. It does have good infuse synergy, but still i feel like this is way too slow. your opponent can easely play around this and minimize the number of summons thanks to the effect being a deathrattle. This seems really bad.
Okay so this card is SCARY when abused. Untill rotation though i'm 100% sure Druid will abuse this alongside Wildheart Guff. That being said, i feel like Warlock can also abuse this thanks to Amorphous Slime and Infantry Reanimator, so lets be on the lookout for that.
Hold on a sec, i just realised something. First Rivendare, Warrider and trigger the deathrattle. Next play Amorphous Slime and cheat out Thaddius, Monstrosity. Your opponent probably kills it, so just Ress it a few times with a few Infantry Reanimators once you draw all the horseman, just wait until Thaddius, Monstrosity discounts EVEN cards, then play all the horseman and kill them with a 1 cost Twisting Nether. TBH this might be way too slow, but still a fun combo.
Additionally in Wild this card will probably cause some interesting combos. This is honestly a scary card which might break the game at some point. OH and i just realised you can also cheat this out with Kael'thas Sinstrider as well.
5 star card, must-include for MANY hunter decks. This draws your Tracking, Wound Prey and Barbed Nets/Ricochet Shots. Questline hunter might make a comeback thanks to this...

Why Ionia Is Meta Again

New Priest Spell - Mind Sear
Very good in shadow priest, probably will see play until the shadow priest package rotates soon.
In wild this is SCARY. Radiant Elemental + Mind Sear + Embalming Ritual + Test Subject = Rank 1 legend. 4 card OTK that only requires 3 mana to pull of. In b4 Radiant Elemental finally gets nerfed... or Test Subject gets "buffed" to 3 health.
New Priest Minion - Rotting Necromancer
Must-include for shadow priest, and other aggresive priest decks.
New Priest Spell - Cannibalize
This looks like a good card, but i dunno if it's good enough to make the cut in a priest deck. Does priest really need a Assassinate style card for 4 mana while priest already has tons of other clears. Like do you really run this when you already have cards like The Light! It Burns!?

New Priest Spell - Cannibalize
Blizzard: "Oh no, we can't have any more blood and gore in our card art, think of the children"
Also Blizzard:
Good card btw, even if it won't be maindecked it will stil show up randomly and turn games around.

Mistake is a mistake. That shit gonna get nerfbat among the first batch for sure.
New Priest Spell - Mind Sear
Its Holy Smite's shadow brother.
Dealing 2 health is below par, but this card is specifically made for shadow decks and its still does 3 damage to face.
Too bad Darkbishop Benedictus is rotating in 2 months. This is precisely the sort of card that should have been printed a year ago.
New Priest Minion - Rotting Necromancer
Its a 5 damage fireball with a 5/4 body.
If priest is playing aggro this card would easily be in it. [Game] Card Treasure Hunt (Hearthstone Riddles)
Nope. Way earlier. This may be too eclectic since what happened this Summer wasnt seen by all.....
I'll spruce it a bit
Mercenaries Final 25.4 Content Patch Brings Six New Mercs, Dual-Types, Factions, & Mythic Boss Rush
open them, get 1/10 value for renown to apply to lvl ups on mythic mode.

This is how I'll always call this card now.
Control Warrior (Season 107 - Legend)
My first ever and only single time becoming Legend in Classic. The goal was just to complete the Back In My Day ranked game mode achievement.
The climb was very straightforward because the ladder is infested with dumb bots which are easily farmed with this deck. I only encountered a handful of real players on the way to legend which in total took about 88 games.

But what if the minion my opponent summons has Overkill? 🐝

New Neutral Minion - Mistake
Very good 1/3, this will see play in a bunch of decks in both standard and wild.
Hold on a second... This is an epic card... Could this be it? Could this be... a PLAYABLE Mini-set Epic?!?!?!?!?! WOW, those are ultra rare!
New Neutral Minion - Thaddius, Monstrosity
Okay so this card is SCARY when abused. Untill rotation though i'm 100% sure Druid will abuse this alongside Wildheart Guff. That being said, i feel like Warlock can also abuse this thanks to Amorphous Slime and Infantry Reanimator, so lets be on the lookout for that.
