I wish they would reduce the crafting cost of the buffed cards to be equal to the dusting cost the same way they increase the dusting cost to be equal to the crafting cost when they nerf cards. I dusted my Dr. Boom when it got nerfed and now I will have to craft it back again.
So the new dup protection says "...you will no longer receive more than 2 copies of any common, rare, or epic card until you have owned (at any time) 2 copies of every card of that rarity from that set."
Does this mean even after you dust a set of terrible epics, that you don't have to worry about opening them in a pack again until you get all other epics from that set?
I agree, Burrowing Scorpid doesn't really look like a rogue-only card. Sure it has stealth which is a thing for rogues in this set, but this could easily see play in a number of midrange decks across the classes.
I think that square would be better filled by Soulbound Ashtongue which will probably only see play in Warlock decks that want to damage themselves.
The game without reach is just slow minion vs minion crap. I do hope we'll still have potent burst combo for aggro decks, otherwise I will really miss Leeroy.
Man, this card can go OFF in a major way. Or it can be at the bottom of your deck and suck. So, just like most other cards I guess. Some serious potential combined with Sorcerer's Apprentice, Mana Cyclone, etc.
At one point, I know Pizza was running a Zoolock without Leeroy Jenkins that focused on board control with Sea Giant. Might be worth another look now, although some pieces are rotating, like The Soularium.
Hall of Fame happens at 10am Pacific. (So in ten minutes.)
It's too close to the mark for me for comfort, so I've decided to just take the dust I'm going to get at this point and not risk messing it up by crafting goldens.
Shadow Isles Strenghts - Token/Card Generation, Aggressive Early Game, Boardclears, Single Target Removals, Healing, Graveyard Interactions. Shadow Isles Weaknesses - Combat Disruption, Permanent Buffs, Unit Protection.
"PS: I might have skipped some, I'm not a master of this topic, just sharing what I have observed."
So as you can see here, i didn't mentioned self damage synergies for Noxus/Freljord for example or tribe synergies with Elnuk/Elites or something like that. Synergies are different topic while identity is a different one.
If you for example give Piltover&Zaun Sturdy units + Unit protection with new cards, it will not suit its region identity and looks absurd when you saw them and may bring some other issues. So this kind of weaknesses should be surpassed with partnershipping with other regions, If you want to use Sturdy units with P&Z, You can always use Freljord splash for example. That's related with synergies at some sorts for Game-Designing philosophy but not completely same.
Btw, I honestly think that it is more defined than Hearthstone because there are no neutral cards which means in Hearthstone, You can abuse the Identities by using neutral cards, Just put some [Hearthstone Card (Loot Hoarders) Not Found], etc. to your Hunter deck and you have been surpassed the Drawing Engine weakness of it. It is a fair mechanic for Hearthstone because you can't pair your deck with another class.
So for Players;
In LoR and MTG - You should surpass region identities and weaknesses by using region partnership mechanic and combine your deck with 2 regions which shares some synergies but have different strong aspects
In HS - You should surpass class identities and weaknesses by using neutral cards.
For Designers;
In LoR and MTG - You shouldn't add identity breakers to the game if you want to create a strong game-base and if you want to make all regions feel unique.
In HS - You shouldn't add identity breakers to the classes if you want to create a strong game-base and also you shouldn't add too powerful neutral version of some identical cards if you want to make all classes feel unique.
If you won't do those, There is no meaning of different classes'/regions' existence.
Honestly, Leeroy leaving makes a huge difference for so many decks.
Quest Hunter is pretty much dead now (Springpaw, Zilliax and Snip Snap already hurt, but losing the guaranteed 10-mana 14 damage REALLY makes the deck so much less powerful)
Galakrond Warrior also uses a lot reach (and draw because of Acolyte)
Rogue basically will have to find other ways to burst. Leeroy was always a staple finisher for the class, but now they're basically left with only Eviscerate, which is one of the main reasons why I think Stealth Rogue will be big.
Even Embiggen Druid will feel it because they don't have another way of closing out the game so if they ever lose the board it's gg.
I honestly feel like the HoF rotation will have way more of an impact on the meta than the actual set rotation
I'm personally not sold on either the base version or the prime version of this card, but interestingly enough this is the only prime that can be tutored out of deck, since it's 1 mana and can be hit by Skydiving Instructor.
It's kind of cute but I'm just not seeing Reliquary Prime as being good enough to win games. Gets destroyed by all kinds of non-targetting destruction - Flik, Twisting Nether, the new Warlock legendary, Brawl, Deadly Shot, I mean, Zephrys annhilates this card. The whole buff gameplan this card wants to fit in doesn't have the draw for this.
Does this go into Res Priest? Honestly, probably not. Res Priest wins Control games without needing this card - just play Galakrond and don't play Bad Luck Albatross. Against Aggro decks Res Priest needs their Turn 9 Mass Resurrection or Catrina Muerte to be impactful - summoning a 1/3 is not enough defense.
In first months of the HS I was able to slowly climb to rank 15 with my secret hunter. Then I started to face meta decks and will always remember first matches against handlock, who destroyed me every time. Ever since I have loved handlock and tried to make it work, and now it's sad to see the other important deck (and meta) defining giant to go to Hall of Fame :(
But, atleast I can get those 3200 dust from the golden ones.
Krenko, Tin Street Kingpin is one of my all-time favourite cards in Magic so I was excited when I saw you were giving him the spotlight. I'm a filthy lover of aggressive decks so it will be no surprise when I end up taking this for a ride.
Today? Is it too late to craft the golden versions to get refund? I hope so, is there somewhere posted the timeline of when things like this are happening (rotation, expansion, etc)?
March 26 Hearthstone Updates - Hall of Fame Rotation, Priest Rework and More!

Now the joy of waiting for the Apple store to actually get the update :(

I got the update, opened 2 classic packs I'd horded, and got duplicates. So I guess its not retroactive...?

Is this live in ALL regions, can you please clarify?
Furthermore, i assume it is still worth holding on to Classic packs, so that new Priest and Demon Hunter cards are released first.

Does each region have enough of an identity?
Yeah, it is like;
Identity;
Freljord Strenghts - Drawing engine, Boardclears, Combat Disruptions, Sturdy Units, Deck Buffs, Buff spells, Ramp, Healing.
Freljord Weaknesses - Aggressive early game, Single Target Removal, Token Generating, Direct damage.
Demacia Strenghts - Disabling effects, Single Target Removals, Unit Protection, Attack token abuse, Temporary and Permanent buffs, Mana cheating (RememberanceBADCARDNAME/MobilityBADCARDNAME, extra win condition.
Demacia Weaknesses - Drawing engine, Direct damage spells, Boardclears.
Noxus Strenghts - Aggressive early game, Single Target Removals, Direct Nexus Damage, Temporary buffs, Token/card generation.
Noxus Weaknesses - Drawing Engine, Boardclears, Unit Protection, Healing, Permanent buffs.
Ionia Strenghts - Card Generation, Combat Disruptions, Handbuff, Unit Protection, Healing, Aggressive early game, Temporary Buffs/Units.
Ionia Weaknesses - Boardclears, Sturdy Units, Direct damage spells/units, Single Target Removal.
Piltover&Zaun Strenghts - Card Generation, Direct damage spells, Drawing Engine, Token Generation, Deck Disruption, Aggressive early game, Deck fattening.
Piltover&Zaun Weaknesses - Boardclears, Temporary/Permanent Buffs, Sturdy Units, Unit Protection, Combat Disruption.
