I agree that on its own it looks pretty damn strong, and this is also what my first impression was as well, but in my opinion, there's no deck that wants this. Of course, it's great to buff with Embiggen and to pull from Strength in Numbers, but with the amount of big stuff that's already in the deck, this just feels like a win-more card. If Blizzard has something in mind for this card then I'm willing to eat my words, but as of right now it looks like a card that would be great but has no place in the decks that Druid has to offer.
When I said terrible I was exaggerating, but what I meant was that I don't see a Druid deck that runs this card as of right now. All the big beast support cards (e.g. Oondasta, Stampeding Roar and Predatory Instincts) and most of Druid's slower control-esque tools (e.g. Ferocious Howl, Flobbidinous Floop and Wardruid Loti) will be rotated, and I'm sceptical if Blizzard is willing to print more cards that support the archetype.
Embiggen Druid already works, this just makes it better. It's a great target to summon off of Strength in Numbers and gives you more stuff to play should you need more gas.
Too bad there's no more big beast support left, could have been fun.
I get the notion that's why it wasn't printed when there was beast support.
but Big Beast Druid never became a thing BECAUSe it lacked support. Stuff like Stampeding Roar Predatory Instincts and Oondasta could have used this, but instead we get it now when all of those are gone and Embiggen Druid has no direct Beast synergy.
You get so many rewards from Runeterra that opening a trash common really comes at no consequence other than a minor inconvenience that you'll have to play a bit more later. Runeterra is already so unbelievably generous in its F2P model, don't take it for granted. I've been playing for about one week since the mobile launch in Singapore and I've already been able to craft 2 entire decks, the only thing I'm missing is some of the champions. And besides, if you're just going to get rid of all "feelsbad" moments from pack opening, why not give everybody a full collection from the beginning?
I'm too used to playing Sherazin, Corpse Flower and immediately assumed the ashes were dormant for some reason. Obviously that version would be way OP.
Since the ashes are easily killed it is a very different story, but perhaps not hopeless for the card. I imagine it is decent in an aggro deck (unlike previous similar cards), when your opponent just might not have the luxury of being able to kill both the bird and the ashes on the same turn.
Terrible as in weak? Fair stats with Rush and a guaranteed on-curve play for next turn (strength of 8-drops may vary), so is it though? It doesn't currently have a deck where it would be auto-included (unless Embiggen wants it) but I don't see the card itself as weak.
And still, Blizzard struggles to find a consistent archetype for poor Paladin.
I know this joke is not original, but this card goes straight into the metabreaker Secret Dragon Big Highlander Murloc Zoo Reborn Pure Mech Heal Menagerie Paladin deck that they have been secretly building in the Year of the Dragon. Here's hoping this year will also introduce Beast and Demon synergies to the class.

If it does not have rush when it revives it become a bit of usless.
You play it. Then your oponent kills it and not the egg.
When it comes back you can not attack as it got summoned at the begining of the turn....
If it has rush when it comes it can be quite of a good card, or does not have summmonig sickness and can even go face then it can be quite broken in a quick agro elemental mage.
The effect is very much the same than Anivia has in Legends of Runeterra: you want to kill the token so the infinite resurrect chain stops. I just fear that 3+3 damage is quite easy to do in Hearthstone so Al'ar may turn out to be quite weak.

GOD, i'm such a sucker for those revival type minions. I used to include Anub, Malorne and The Skeleton Knight in every deck, i fuxxing crafted Waxadred and Pyros in golden, i can't fuxxing wait to finally get my hands on this absolute unit.
so yeah, this seems like a straight up waste of the Legendary Neutral slot.
Sure there might be some more support coming, but overall I just have no idea how this would ever be playable. Maybe there'll be some way to activate "start of turn" effects immediately but overall this just seems garbage.
